Build quality is excellent. I hve 2 Shoei helmets and the K6 is built just as good and the lining is much better quality. The fit is fantastic for Shoei shaped heads!

Ugh. Just ordered an RF on sale from Revzilla.... I’m really digging the K6. Really nice looking helmet. My chin stuck out from under the other new-style AGVs like the Pista. This looks more conventional, but with a really wide and tall viewport.
I used to have the K3 SV but have a K5 which is a great helmet. This K6 looks good but I'm looking to get the SHOEI X-SPIRIT 3 - MARQUEZ 2 MOTEGI helmet.
with that price point, i'll go for HJC Rpha 11. Better looks with more graphic designs. AGV always priced their helmets way higher because of Rossi but i think they are both built with quality because they are used in MotoGP
you are absolutley correct about the pricing we pay so they can pay their Rossi endorsements..... sucks how that's passed on to us. Helmets are overpriced
I have two AGVs, the corsair and Pista GPR and also a HJC RPHA11. I will say the the RPHA11 is great, you get what you pay for. My AGVs, although more expensive, are a much higher quality. The RPHA11 is the top of the line but the cheek pads are horribly designed. They constantly unsnap from their place and it's a hassel to get them back in. I even had to order another pair because one side of the clip ins actually broke. My brother also has the same exact problem with is. I also have had to replace the spoiler on my helmet, it broke off far to simply. However HJC did send me a new one free of charge. So apparently this is a think with these helmets. I do use the HJC ad by daily helmet and only use the AGVs about half as often because there the limited editions rossi variants however, the quality is there for AGV. So for me, if I was buying another daily, the K6 would be my choice for sure.
haha what are you two smoking? AGV are pioneers in helmet safety. They are the safest helmets. Go check the sharp test for yourself, HJC is the worst helmet in terms of safety. Safety is not about the looks, it's about the function. Because of Rossi? AGV was making the best helmets way before Rossi, on top of that, AGV isn't like shoei that only sells because marc Marquez is wearing their helmet 😅
I think that an MS in a corsa or Pista would be the equivalent of a shoei small, not a medium IMO. I would expect the K6 to be very similar to Corsa/Pista but maybe not.
So I walked around and had most of the Medium heads in our department/office try on the Medium-Small sample that we had and it fit just fine. Personally, I am a Medium in HJC, Shoei, Arai and ICON and the Medium-Small was a perfect fit while I was testing this lid before the video. For what its worth, I am a Medium-Small in the Pista/Corsa as well. I tried the Medium-Large out too but it was just too big even as brand new, not factoring in the 15-20% break-in period that all helmet liners experience with use.
I have a K3 SV. The vents are eye's-width apart and right above the sun visor. If you ride on a wet day, it dirties the visor right in your sightlines. 🙄 I've mostly been happy with the visor, but it's definitely not perfect.
2:37 thank god. I have one of these coming to me for a demo this week, I really want to love an AGV again. I had to sell my K5 at a great loss because of the "round" shape that my K3-SV didnt have and fit perfectly.
No because of its technology it's revolutionary. Revolutionary in terms or price. It's not you arai or shoei garbage made of fibreglass. K6 is basically racing Helmet tech for road riding.
@@ampm9771 Well, he compared it to the RF1200, and I've seen the same comparison done elsewhere. As one review put it, "It sure looks like AGV used the Shoei RF-1200 as a clear target when it developed the K6. These two helmets are very similar in shape, purpose, fit, function and price. They’re also very similar in their end performances". So there's nothing "revolutionary" about the K6.
@@magsteel9891 Well, now you mention it, I must say that K6 is indeed revolutionary for its purpose. Firstly In terms. of quality, K6 has higher quality than RF1200. K6 is basically AGV's racing helmet made accessible for road riding in terms of comfort and technology. K6 is designed based on FIM's Motogp safety requirements for racing helmet which is way higher than your DOT and EC. Not only K6 is lighter than RF1200, it is more compact, It is safer and is the only helmet with 5 layer multidensity EPS liner vs Shoei's two layer EPS liner. K6's shell is made of carbon-aramid fibre vs Shoei's fibreglass. K6 has a thick racing visor with locking mechanism as opposed to RF1200's side latch with flimsy visor that bends each time you open it. So yes, K6 is the most revolutionary non-racing helmet currently in the market. K6 is an excellent value where the smart money goes. RF1200 is nowhere near K6 in terms of technology, safety, quality and design. You might argue, but numbers don't lie my friend. Shoei's and Arais are just overhyped and overpriced helmets.
Amir Rad I didn't review this personally, just relaying what reviewers reported. Based on their descriptions it sounds more evolutionary than revolutionary.
The venting up top presents exactly the same issues the RF1200 has had.... Whistling, poor air flow overall and far too much bother while gloved and riding aggressively. Why don't these manufacturers learn? One slide tab that can be opened and closed easily is what is wanted and best serves the rider. Overall great looking helmet. As a touring rider I am in and ou of my helmet a dozen times in a day so the tighter fit neck roll is not a selling feature as I ride with ear plugs and a neck scarf to begin with. I think it is a viable option to a Shoei but I am still buying an RF1400! Also I live and ride in Thailand in 30-39 Celsius weather so venting is critical. Maybe not so much for a colder climate rider.
It really depends what features you prefer personally. The Shoei is DOT- and Snell-rated and a bit quieter but is heavier. The AGV is DOT- and ECE-rated, lighter, but just a bit louder than the Shoei. -DrewZilla
This would be my next but the lack of airflow makes this a no-go for me. Too bad, this is an awesome looking helmet. Looks like I'm just going to have to get another RPHA 11 Pro.
AGV needs to figure out their problem with face shields and the missing metal lock. If you buy a dark face shield for this helmet it comes without the metal lock. This is completely unacceptable, its like selling a lock, but if you want an extra one, it comes without a key.
Judging by the customer reviews on this one, it is good but not great with glasses. Really depends on the thickness of them too. Big ol' sunglasses will probably not work but thin prescription ones, you should be OK for a daily commute.
Revzilla, you forgot to mention the wonderful color. Is it made from recycled materials? cuz it looks like. I own an AGV AX8 and this one looks awful for an "Italian" helmet
I just got this one and my issue is with the opening/closing the visor. I press the button and nothing happens. Is it supposed to do that? I have many Bell and Davida helmets. I currently just bought a 2020 Ducati Diavel 1260S. I’m interested in a new helmet and been looking at the AGV, SHOEI and Arai helmets. Price not being a concern to me, what helmet do you recommend for street and highway cruising? I’m more concerned with the following. Quality Fit and finish of build Fit to my head Wind lift Comfort. Prefer matte black or matte carbon finish Thanks.
Thanks for the review! I'm contemplating between the AGV K6 and the Scorpion Exo R1, street riding. I like my scorpion 1400, buy it has weird issue with the visor - if I pull it over sunglasses, I see rainbow colors on the visor. Can you advise which of these 2 has a better visor optically? Thanks
Sounds all good But I ride a 2008 Hayabusa and iam a tell you that Agv k1 and Agv k5s was super stable at high speeds I had no drag at all in those helmets, plus the head checks were so smooth they blended with the wind also the Scorpion exor2000 was awesome until the chin strap popped at 150 mph and scorpion USA didn't have my size medium in the warehouse in California and they sent me a scorpion exo r710 it was trash at high speeds. I see these features on this K6 but seems to me they went away from the usual with this helmet the venting scheme looks like trash and the front chin looks like if i ride with my bros down in that scorching GA/ Florida weather my chin hair will melt away from no ventilation. i need honesty on how you guys felt wearing this helmet at high speeds cuz at 175-180 on my bussa AGV k5 was the most stable helmet even better than shoei, and Hjcs. I need truth at highs speeds about stability and head checking if not yall need to test it other than show the helmet off real talk we rely on your opinion and we defiantly trust yawl with the reviews.
The problem with Revzilla's product "reviews" is that they're not reviews, they're overviews. It's just a video presentation of the product detail page. They haven't ridden in it, worn it, or tested it in any way.
@@PMitchell106 I agree beother I have had like 8 helmets and bruh at his speeds you need something stable they need to change the way they review helmets cuz this is whack. Ride the helmet and wear it. Give honest opinions
Hey RevZilla, would you say this helmet replaces the Corsa R - if you were buying this or a corsa r today (irrespective of price), which would you go for?
No, this is an all-around street-focused helmet, whereas the Corsa-R is more of a sport/track-focused helmet. The Corsa-R is still a current model. Personally, I would buy the K6, because I'm a street rider. If you ride on the track or prefer the look of the Corsa-R, then go for that one. -DrewZilla *bit.ly/AGV_K6_Helmet
I actually like this color. However, the world seems to be getting warmer and here we have a helmet with mediocre ventilation. I'll probably stick with Shoei. Come on AGV, step it up.
Both are good options for commuting and touring, so it really just depends whether you need an internal drop down sun visor or not. The K6 is a little more compact, which is nice if you don't need the Scorpion's sun visor. -DrewZilla
I have the k3 sv and the k5 sv, great fitting and comfortable helmets love them. BUT.. they both fog up badly, this seems even worse for fogging. I may forgo this model. Until proven otherwise.
@@AlexDjalo got one for each helmet. Im in Australia, you don't carry pin lock visor every day and every where, am or pm. The current venting is sufficient, but the new helmet seems lacking.
There is no K6 S, as the helmet is not designed for an internal sun visor (S or SV denotes sun visor with AGV helmets). This regular K6 should be released in the United States in the coming weeks. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/agv-k6-helmets
I have a round head and I can not find a helmet that fits me without hurting the sides of my head. I really want a nice looking helmet around 500-700$. Does anyone know a true roundheaded helmet I can buy?
Gotta love the generic "premium features" marketing notes to justify a 500 dollar helmet (after taxes) for what looks like a generic helmet with a seal that will probably whistle like crazy, with virtually no venting. Scorpion EXO ST-1400 seems like the much better buy for a carbon lid.
Personally would never trust the protection on the Scorpion helmets. They only get medium ratings on Sharp testing. It can be a life and death difference so only get the best protection when it comes to helmets.
I’m a big fan of AGV & the Rossi designs.. I love my Agv K3 sv misano helmet.. but this just looks like they copied the RF1200 & threw AGV stickers on it..
Arai actually has varying fits from the long oval Signet-X to the round-oval Quantum-X, and the intermediate (neutral) oval Corsair-X, Defiant-X, and DT-X. After my Corsa got old an really worn I got a Veloce S, very good finish, light and comfy but the front is way to close to the mouth(becomes a real concern when riding). How is that with this helmet? with regards to it not having as a pointy front as the more traditional AGVs. Thanks for the great vids, keep it up boys.
I'm generally a medium in most helmets. The MS in the K6 felt a bit close to the mouth, while the ML size felt just fine. However, the ML felt a little loose to me. Personally, I could live with the distance to the chin in the size MS. Of course, everyone is different. -DrewZilla
What even is the "American market"? It's a land of immigrants from other continents over time, Europe, Africa and Asia... Please explain where this data comes from.

I’m interested in a new helmet and been looking at the AGV, SHOEI and Arai helmets.
Price not being a concern to me, what helmet do you recommend for street and highway cruising?
I’m more concerned with the following.
Quality
Fit and finish of build
Fit to my head
Wind lift
Comfort.
Prefer matte black or matte carbon finish
Thanks.
Arai or Shoei
Arai RX7v for sure
whichc os better this k6 or k5?
Thanks for the review! I'm contemplating between the AGV K6 and the Scorpion Exo R1, street riding. I like my scorpion 1400, buy it has weird issue with the visor - if I pull it over sunglasses, I see rainbow colors on the visor. Can you advise which of these 2 has a better visor optically? Thanks
That's probably bcs you have polarized sunglasses. They do that
Get the K6 with the smoked visor, perfect combo. No need for sunglasses.
@revzilla Comfortable fit with sunglasses?
Really big sunglasses don't really work, but most regular-sized sunglasses should fit comfortably. -DrewZilla

agv k6 or shoei rf1400
Wished it would look a little more aggressive
Why? If you want a more aggressive helmet then buy one of their other offerings.
This one , rpha 70 or Spartan carbon 1.2?
emergency release?
Yes
I think I want to pre order one. When will the tinted pinlock visor be available on the website ?
We don't know yet when a tinted Pinlock will be on the website. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla is the tinted pinlock visor available now?
They’re paid off by them. They’re not gonna tell you the real cons
When does it ship? Site said late Sep. We're in October already...
At this point the site has been updated to late-November. -DrewZilla
The bottom of the shield has a gun sight...perfect for the american market
nice very original ...cough... fortnine
-DrewZilla

RevZilla thank you you’re super helpful!
I actually like this color. However, the world seems to be getting warmer and here we have a helmet with mediocre ventilation. I'll probably stick with Shoei. Come on AGV, step it up.
Recommendation of this vs a Scorpion ST1400 for commuting and touring?
Both are good options for commuting and touring, so it really just depends whether you need an internal drop down sun visor or not. The K6 is a little more compact, which is nice if you don't need the Scorpion's sun visor. -DrewZilla
I have the k3 sv and the k5 sv, great fitting and comfortable helmets love them. BUT.. they both fog up badly, this seems even worse for fogging. I may forgo this model. Until proven otherwise.
Get a pin lock
@@AlexDjalo got one for each helmet.
Im in Australia, you don't carry pin lock visor every day and every where, am or pm. The current venting is sufficient, but the new helmet seems lacking.
When will K6 S be released?
There is no K6 S, as the helmet is not designed for an internal sun visor (S or SV denotes sun visor with AGV helmets). This regular K6 should be released in the United States in the coming weeks. -DrewZilla
*www.revzilla.com/agv-k6-helmets
Does it have an internal sun visor to put down?
No
I have a round head and I can not find a helmet that fits me without hurting the sides of my head.
@@UndergroundSessions1 there is no diffrence in 3 and 5 stars on sharp in most accidents
@@brane1872 ofcourse there is. read this sharp.dft.gov.uk/sharp-testing/#ratings

A scorpion kept my head intact at 70mph.
I’m a big fan of AGV & the Rossi designs.. I love my Agv K3 sv misano helmet.. but this just looks like they copied the RF1200 & threw AGV stickers on it..
Ooo this is a good helmet. Shame about the vents, it's such a let down.
Is there a successor for shoei RF 1200
Cuz that's a 6 year old helmet
Nope, nothing yet. Most helmets remain in production for 6-8 years though, so we hope to see something from Shoei in the near future. Ride safe, -Pat
Is the fitment is closer to shoei or hjc and arai (neutral)?
It's closer to Shoei. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla thank you for clarification, please can you tell us other helmets that are closer to arai.
Arai actually has varying fits from the long oval Signet-X to the round-oval Quantum-X, and the intermediate (neutral) oval Corsair-X, Defiant-X, and DT-X. Also, HJC helmets vary from intermediate/neutral to round oval. To easily see helmets by head shape, please see the links below. -DrewZilla

Why can't agv make a budget helmet with a spoiler like the corsa? 😢
Check out the AGV K1
After my Corsa got old an really worn I got a Veloce S, very good finish, light and comfy but the front is way to close to the mouth(becomes a real concern when riding). How is that with this helmet? with regards to it not having as a pointy front as the more traditional AGVs.
Thanks for the great vids, keep it up boys.
I'm generally a medium in most helmets. The MS in the K6 felt a bit close to the mouth, while the ML size felt just fine. However, the ML felt a little loose to me. Personally, I could live with the distance to the chin in the size MS. Of course, everyone is different. -DrewZilla
Gloss back or nardo for me 🤩
AGV K6 est très léger et très confortable. C’est le meilleur casque que j’ai eu à ce jour.
Niveau bruit du vent il est comment ? Apparemment bien réputé.
@@sebmth6068 Comme j'ai un pare-brise sur ma ST1300 Honda, je n'ai pas de vent...
yes yes yes yes yes... i am smiling now. Matt Black is neat- BUT this narco-grey is def growing on me.
I tried this helmet on. The nose guard kills it for me. Digs into my nose hard.
You must have an impressive nose. Can you post a video of your nose?

Were is the other guy
It is so revolutionary it is just like the k1 which is around for years. Only the looks change and the ventilation still sucks...oh no! no sunvisor!
can you get a tinted visor or is only clear available?

This lid now closely resembles Spanish brand MT! What's that phrase about imitation and flattery?
What even is the "American market"? It's a land of immigrants from other continents over time, Europe, Africa and Asia... Please explain where this data comes from.
This looks like an HJC RPHA 11 copy to me :/

This vs bell star? For the street
