Destined to be one of the top uplifting tunes of the year, Ushio is orchestral and emotional uplifting trance at its best. With depth and meaning it takes the listener through a journey of nostalgia and reminiscence, of cheerfulness, of apprehensiveness and mystery, of peace and contentment, and of joy.
The Emotional Intro Mix is brighter and lighter, with a faster-paced and more energetic feel. It also has a different breakdown, a different mixdown, a higher energy level, a softer kick, and a more upbeat feel. It includes New World's two favorite instruments: piano and violin.
The Emotional Intro Mix is also designed to also be mixable and therefore includes 16 bars of mixin after the intro.DJs mixing it with a previous track can simply skip the intro and start there.
Finally we have the Orchestral Mix. This is a beautiful and sweet piece of uplifting symphonic music that will make you smile while giving you a sense of peace. This one is sure to give you chills, and may even bring a tear to your eye.

5 years later, this tune is still in my top 10 trance tunes ever! It's simply a masterpiece... the amazing breakdown and that climax at 5:10 gets me teary eyed everytime! :,) God bless New World and Ori and all the amazing producers on Abora
I agree. This one and Attila Syah - Letters to Heaven (Original Mix) are still two tracks that I listen to at least once a week even after so many years

I hope that everyone who had listened to this could know about the backgroud story of this track.It's Clannad,a masterpiece in ACG field.Ushio is a character in the anime.Made by Key and Kyoani,it's a story about love,friendship,forgiveness,and life. It really cheered me up when I was down...Maybe you will also moved by it.

If I remember well, New World once said it was the name of a character from a Japanese anime

New World named this track after Ushio Okazaki, a 5 year old female character from Clannad After Story. The kanji character of Ushio shown in the cover art means Tide, for those who are unfamiliar with japanese characterization. Also the filed in the cover art is heavily inspired by the sunflower field scene in Clannad After Story episode 18.
