What's funny is watching your videos I see you as a gentle quiet spirit. Your heart of submission, your desire to live a Godly life, your wise choices and learning from mistakes, your femininity and the way you teach... it reflects a gentle woman. Maybe you're more "exciting" in person, but I would suggest in these videos you talk of the most important things in life. You share so meekly and beautifully. Thank you for sharing this and your channel.
Oh my goodness 18:27 is me. A panicky stressed out woman to my husband at times. I thought I didn’t need this video because I don’t start drama and I’m introverted. But I do NOT have a gentle and quiet spirit. Wow wow wow. You have opened my eyes, thank you!
Thank you so much for your videos. I have been through years of abuse before I got married and I didn’t realise it has made me very defensive towards men, especially my husband. God has been speaking to me about submission and honor. I’m very greatful I found your testimonies and teachings
Wow this video is so for me…especially the part about Sarah and how she handled Abraham’s lie etc. I feel upset and don’t trust that my husband will always make the best decisions for me or our family. I don’t want to go down with him if he makes a mistake. But you said that a quiet spirit trusts God. Wow…this video is so good! I’m so glad I found your channel.
Thanks sister:) God bless you. Being a wife is no joke!!! It’s easy to walk in The flesh, it’s hard to walk in the spirit, but we have the Holy Spirit to help us:)
If only I had watched this video like an hour ago... 😔 Guilty of most of the things you spoke about today. Thank you for this wonderful and convicting video! ❤️ Now to go and humble myself before God and my husband for being a big part in the fight we just had.
Beautifull my sister in Christ. May God bless you. Immediatly when I heard you talking I subscribed. Thankyou for doing this, giving glory and honor to the Lord! Greetings from Belgium
This came at the PERFECT time for me! I have been watching you for 5 years and you continue to inspire me and point me more towards the woman God wants me to be. Thank you! God bless you and your family!
Soooo much wisdom in the 20 min video! This just reminds me all over again why I continue come back to your videos. You are a breath of fresh are in this crazy world, thank you sis for taking the time to speak about these things .
Another great video! I see u as a quiet and gentle spirit. You explained it very well. I have seen wives that were the opposite and I don’t know how their husbands even live in the same house. Lol
Loud Puerto Rican here 🙋♀️. And I really needed this message because my 1st inclinations are worry and fear. My husband is never scared because he knows God will look after us. Your message was so special today, Alana. God bless you.
I hardly ever comment on RUclips but have to tell you what a blessing your videos have been to me through the years! I first watched them 6 years ago when single. Now I'm married with a 2 year old and my husband and I are going through some stuff. After an argument a few days ago he sent me a message with a link to your channel. He had no idea that I've been watching you for years! We will sit down and go through some of these marriage ones together as they are full of wisdom! Thank you for your ministry. You truly shine Jesus' love. With love from the UK :) xxx
Let God fight your battles! I needed this reminder today. As an introvert, I struggle with speaking up and sharing my thoughts in general. I'm learning to respectfully share my thoughts while also letting God fight my battles. Thank you for sharing this today!
*Respect & a gentle quiet spirit goes both ways, first from man to his woman (for he is the leader) & then woman to man.* I say this because I grew up in a very violent home; full of physical, mental, emotional abuse - but my parents prayed daily very fervently like hypocrites & we all prayed together as a family. Then, dating indian men as I grew up - they were loud, scoldig & disrespectful. Having grown up in indian culture, men tend to think arrogance is confidence. After years of living in north-america, I married a white-canadian man who was abusive - sreaming, disrespectful, yelling, violent outbursts - I was walking on egg-shells around him all the time. I was bending over backwards just to get along with him. I left him once (when dating) but my mother gave me shitty advice to go back to him, I did. (I wish I had not listened to her but my own inner-voice instead). He hit me once, then twice after marriage). We divorced. After my divorce, I briefly dated a divorced indian-man & experienced he was a monster -a million times worse - terribly physically, mentally, emotionally abusive - my ex-husband was a saint compared to him. Hence I learnt that *respect & a gentle spirit go hand-in-hand. Rrespect & a gentle spirit go both ways, from man to woman & woman to man.*
Yes! 🙌🙌 I've commented on some of your videos before, but I'm a single 20s girl who has watched your videos for a long time. Even though I'm not married, I love taking your advice and wisdom and applying to the relationships I do have, like my parents and siblings who I live with. Thanks for this video! 💜
I've been so blessed by your videos! It truly has helped me get back up and fight for my marriage when I had no more strength left. Do you have any videos or could you share your opinion/encouragement on what to do when your husband is a new Christian, won't be the spiritual leader of your home, and won't give up his friendships with the opposite sex (whom I don't even know) and sees boundaries very differently from the way I see them, all this after the fact he had an affair? This is the biggest problem in our marriage and despite me trying my hardest, it makes me feel so insecure. We've already tried counseling but he won't give that up.I'm so exhausted.
I would encourage you to have a very gentle approach to it. Don’t expect him to “lead“ yet. Maybe do a nice time together of reading through the gospel of John or some thing? Talk about it, hear his heart, hear his thoughts. let him do most of the sharing? I’m sorry for the troubles you’ve had but the Lord can heal anything! Allow God to work in his heart as he seeks him and reads his word and gets to know him more deeply with you as his number one supporter and helper. Pray without ceasing. Will be praying with you!!
Umm, gentle and quiet do indeed mean gentle and quiet. People have all sorts of flaws that they can say are just how God made them. This is the main argument for homosexuality and transgenderism. Obviously those thing's do indeed need to change. Not saying you shouldn't be passionate or whatever but perhaps you do need to reassess.
I do agree...Completely. I guess my focus was the passion, excitement, bubbly personality types don’t need to change. But I agree we must be tender and gentle vs. harsh and rough, and quiet vs. loud like the loud woman in proverbs.
I love the little Roomba dutifully cleaning in the background! haha
Thank you so much for sharing this. Answer to prayer.... Bless you 🙏

@@AlanaL3 Thank you so so much
What in the world is that THING moving around on the floor inconspicuously behind you?
A super cleaning robot helper?
Lol yes!!
You look like you could be Jennifer Garner's daughter.
When she was really famous in the early 2000’s I got stopped everywhere

@@AlanaL3 Definitely not saying you're doing anything wrong, just that you gotta be extremely careful with that line of reasoning.
