I really wish we had gotten a full-on crossover episode with Constantine and Lucifer. Like I really wanna know what Maze did in order for Lucifer to owe Constantine a favor.
As someone who only knew the Constantine series by reputation back in 2014, I was genuinely surprised to see him in Legends. He ended as my favorite character besides Rory/Heatwave.
I got to meet Matt Ryan at a convention. Before I ever saw his work as Constantine. That said, I let him know that people I knew liked his portrayal a lot, and he was really kind about that. That and I briefly talked about his part in the video game Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag where he portrays the protagonist, and I made his convention escort laugh when I talked about the series in general. Was a really fun time. Then I finally watched the animated stuff with him in it, and he's just so fucking great. I hope I can tell him that soon.
Great video. Love John! I didn't mind the film with Keanu, but the show did the character so much better. I actually watched the first episode on tv when it aired. I love his character and Matt Ryan is so awesome in the role. Love the films, showcases and show. He's in my top five of favorite DC characters. This made me happy, starting the month off nicely. Now for a drink 🥃
Loved Matt Ryan John Constantine That Role to Matt Ryan was the equivalent of Ozone from Breakin' to me he may be Dead but those 2 Breakin' films changed my life forever should get a Dollar everytime It's name dropped on TV
I really wish animated stuff got promoted more, because most of those I missed existing completely. I should probably put then on my watch list now I know.
I was really hopeful that we would get Matt Ryan back as Constantine in the live action The Sandman adaptation, but instead they decided to go with Johanna Constantine played by the always great Jenna Coleman. Not an awful change by any means and in fact I think Jenna does a great job in the role. I think I was just disappointed that we weren't going to see Matt Ryan in live action again.
Well I enjoyed Keanu Reeves Constantine movie and I did like Actor Matt Ryan as Constantine in ths tv series and DC's League of Tomorrow as well. I hope we still the sequel to the 2005 film coming soon hopefully. This was an amazing to look back at a great character for hellblazer comics come to life on the small screen too. Great video from the blockbuster buster as usual too. Lol! !
You know, he's the real John Constantine when he's the voice in my head when I'm reading. We find out what happened to Constantine. In Batman Beyond: Neo-Gothic.
will you consider doing an honest review on justice league crisis on infinate earths all three parts i'd like to know what your opinions are on part 3 and if you have any theories as to what new universe of an animated DC series could come next unless this new universe belongs to james gunn.
The Reason DC wanted to push a sequel to the 2005 Constantine movie despite that film even at best being a very minor hit (and at worst being a flop) was because of "The Keanu-Stance". Like after John Wick became a huge massive hit franchise there was a push by EVERYONE to start putting Keanu in even more projects and lighting up his career even more or having him come back for seemingly dead projects he was involved in because he was hot shit again. Why do you think we got a Matrix 4 and Bill and Ted 3? Though yeah those later projects proved just bringing Keanu back isn't reallly enough to guarantee a hit thus why we haven't really heard anything about this alleged Constantine sequel. Though I think another reason there was more issue bringing back Matt in his own more major project is still a whole rights issue thing. I mean technically there's a Johanna Constantine in that Sandman series that is related to the actual John Constantine and yeah sadly rights issues are still a stupid thing with Marvel and DC. Like you know why there can't be a live action series STARRING Batman since the 1966 one (stuff like Gotham, Gotham Knights, Batwoman or even Titans where he appears but isn't the main character don't count) is because of all people Disney owns those copyright rights... dead serious on that one. Still I do hope we see Matt Ryan back as Constantine again. I mean yeah he was behind ending the animated new 52 universe but shouldn't that be seen as a good thing heh heh? And yeah whether cameo or major appearance feels like he still gets the role and should be getting parts for it.
Now dont misunderstood me here necause as both Erid and I syating this to my mom everytime I dobt hate yhe filn abd ib fact think its one of Jeanus best, howrver ge is not Constantine, Johnn Constantine is a dirky weitdo who plaus it cool, bit derp down tajes hinsekf wayvtoo setiousky when on gavt hes just a more down to earyh version of Dt.Syranfe, hes hard to explain, so I appreciate you doin a fantastic / better job than I ever could
Matt Ryan is John Constantine. You can't convince me otherwise. He deserves another shot at the character.
Agreed!!!!!!
Like J.K. Simmons playing J. Jonah Jameson, Matt Ryan playing John Constantine is a canon event.
Or Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool
@@PHSDM104 That, too.
And of course, Hugh Jackman as The Wolverine. Also, Christopher Reeves & Michael Keaton as Superman & Batman.
@@sebastianemond5313 I personally prefer Kevin Conroy as the canon event Batman.
Matt Ryan is John Constantine to me in my opinion
I really wish we had gotten a full-on crossover episode with Constantine and Lucifer. Like I really wanna know what Maze did in order for Lucifer to owe Constantine a favor.
The Blue Beetle short was the best part of that movie unexpectedly.
As someone who only knew the Constantine series by reputation back in 2014, I was genuinely surprised to see him in Legends. He ended as my favorite character besides Rory/Heatwave.
I love him as this character. He fits it perfectly!!! A man who knows just enough magic to be dangerous
great video to start spooktober. I miss Halloween Havoc.

I highly recommend the Filipino comic and Netflix animated show Trese. Alexandra Trese is a paranormal detective, similar to John Constantine.

Did I spy Nightmare Nurse? She's one of my favorites of the JLD! I'll have to check that movie out!
Matt Ryan's Constantine has always been a delight, and I hope we do get to see him don the trench coat again.
I would give almost anything to get another series or full movie with Matt Ryan back as Constantine.
Loved Matt Ryan John Constantine That Role to Matt Ryan was the equivalent of Ozone from Breakin' to me he may be Dead but those 2 Breakin' films changed my life forever should get a Dollar everytime It's name dropped on TV

I like Keanu Reeve as constantine but Matt Ryan does a pretty good job at playing him
Matt Ryan's Constantine is an inspiration. He's a voice claim for my character for the game FFXIV = u =

I didn't mind the Keanu Reeves movie much, but I would have vastly preferred another Matt Ryan show.

Didn't linkara say it's said different
yay, just so you know I'm not just a super fan if Natt Ryan's Constantine, but also I do a mean impression of his voice as well
I also know the theme song on guitar FYI

It's pronounced ConstanTINE rhymes with wine according to Alan Moore

Now I want to see Justice League Dark vs Marvel's Midnight Suns.
