Excellent....simply put it’s all about the sound, love the simplicity of your lessons, a great way to take the over thinking out of learning and keeping it fun and achievable 👍
Your enthusiasm literally inspires me so much. 5 years on guitar and piano is filling so many gaps in my playing and especially in finding my own voice in my playing. Just wanted to let you know that you have personally impacted my life in a very positive way and I look forward to learning more from you sir!
These videos are great, refreshing to see tutorials with practical tips to get you playing without the bombardment of music theory. Keep them coming.....
Hey Jack, love these vids, very clear and straightforward. You're an excellent practical instructor, even if your fingering is a bit questionable. Could you try to teach the kids how to play around the circle, but without all the theory that'll scare them off? That'd be quite an accomplishment.
I looked at the circle of fifths recently and realize my comfort keys were all on one side of the circle and my discomfort keys are on the opposite side. Eb is near Ab and Bb. Maybe those aren't too bad for you either?
F#/Gb, the hardest key? Maybe on paper. Funny enough, I find the key of E the hardest to play. B and F# feel completely natural once you know them, but E... that takes drilling to get right.
I stumbled upon your how to play C Major videos right after this one: ruclips.net/video/ZQS91wVdvYc/видео.html This video talks about how the Beatles changed pop music composition describing music theory with their famous songs. He blew my mind when he described the intro to I Am The Walrus and how it modulates chords 8 times before the vocals start, but dammit if they don't all flow together in a strange musical magic. Great little C Major videos man.
Disagree lol, doing theory at degree level and hasn't changed what or why I play anything...this is a fun simple trick that sounds good, and someone who doesn't know any theory can still play, infact I know a man who can play anything by ear in any key, never had a lesson. Its down to what the individual responds best to?
Awesome Jack. I've been playing for years and learnt some tricks here.
Keep em comin Jack. Really enjoying these
Thanks Jack, amazing stuff.. please bring us more of this please !!

E flat has become a comfort key of mine.
