Like "he's very clean", the recurring line from the Hard days' night film, it probably only really means something to The Beatles. Watching this latest film, you begin to realise how much The Beatles relied on in-jokes to communicate. Frankly, it gets pretty boring pretty fast. I gave up halfway through the second episode. It wasn't just the dull in-jokes, it was the fact that all we're really watching is the Lennon-McCartney relationship play out. Jackson has chosen to make Harrison and Starr non-entities.
