    If you have one of those silicone mats to put in the bottom of pots for canning, you can use them here too so you don't have to listen to the bowl rattle or worry about it boiling too much and possibly breaking or cracking the bowl.

    • @RocketKira
      @RocketKira Год назад +3

      @@ladyfame1430 distilling only removes minerals, not chemicals, so if that is a concern another method would be best regardless.
      Food grade silicone like the mats I’m talking about are made for that specific purpose for canning, the amount of chemicals that would leech from the mats would be minuscule, if any, and wouldn’t cause any damage or even be noticeable.

      @@RocketKira oh ok. I try to look for materials like that that don’t have chemicals in them I wanted my son to have a medical grade mouthguard for football so it wouldn’t leach plastic chemicals into his mouth it’s so hard to find that kind of stuff sometimes. But I guess you’re right silicon has been proven to be safe I mean they put it in boobs right? Lol. Could you make essential oils with this process?

    • @Freshnss
      @Freshnss  Год назад +1

      Yes, but you won't get much as you would with steam distillation and that requires more equipment. For this method, just add your plant material to the water in the pot. The container in the middle will contain the distilled water and any oils from the plant material which will create a surface layer. You'll then use a dropper or syringe to collect the oil.

    Lmao, 10 minutes. That amount of distilled water using this method would take 10+ hours. Tf outta here giving people fake information. Yes you can distill water this way but it takes about 53 hours to make a gallon. At the rate she is going, 10 minutes and over a cup of water, 16 cups of water are in a gallon, it would take 2 hours and 40 minutes for her to make a gallon. 100% fake, she added water to that bowl.
