Brilliant video thanks mate. Well explained. Contrary to some comments I would definitely keep the safety pressure release valves even if technically an open system.
Hi friend. I came across youre channel today. Great video and great content.. Very easy made video. I was looking for the video that you did use the distallation to make the oil...
i did this with a stove top kettle and something a little different and it produced distilled water faster. the shape = think of a ball cut in half, spout usual position for kettle. I toke a 2 litre bottle, drilled a hole in the lid and the bottom for copper pipe. slide bottle on pipe, seal bottom with sealant. fill the bottle with water, then drop the cap onto pipe and screw tight. completely seal, then wrap in aluminium tape to reflect heat. just enough copper pipe to secure to a bit of flexi hose of each end i made 2 of these. so i joined the copper pipe to the kettle with a piece of flexi hose, attaching the second part the same way. the ability to play around with the decline of the pipe makes a difference in flow rate - once you find the perfect position - make stands
The gromit is used in holes on a electrical box that are used to protect the cable from rubbing or splitting on the metal, unused holes are already factory sealed 👍
Thank you for a moment there I thought I could distill alcohol haha but great vid instructions were very clear even for a person like me. I will try to see if I can gather all that is needed and try over the weekend. I love essential oils too but be weary of oil diffusers I read that it isn’t that good to breathe and inhale and also it clogs up my heat ventilators so I’ve been using essential oil with sticks around the apartment. Thank you for sharing and another vid I enjoy throughly 👍🏻🥰
Thank you. Yes, this is the same set up to make alcohol and distilled water. I did some work with a professor at Manchester University a few years ago where a trail showed that essential oil blends in a diffuser killed MRSA and other antibiotic resistant bacteria on a burns unit at the local hospital.
You can save a lot of money and aggravation by using a graham condenser instead of the copper coils . You can get them from a chemistry equipment supply on line
Great video! But one question, if all water in the cooker goes out, what should I do? Im thinking to distill resins and woods, so the time of cooking is bigger then herbs.
You can fill the cooker as many times as you like, just remember to follow the safety instructions that came with the cooker. I make a batch of disinfectant from time to time using pine and spruce cuttings. This requires the cooker to be filled a couple of times. Good luck.
Hi, I used the curry base gravy mix yesterday and followed the instructions to the dot. Shortly after i had finished, about 2 mins, the gravy started to separate with the spices settling at the bottom of the pan. Is this usual ? Thanks.
Yes. All natural ingredients so no suspension agents or emulsifiers added. The cornflour should act as a natural suspension agent for the base gravy. Making the base gravy just prior to adding it to a curry is best. Leaving it to stand for a time will see some separation.
Geezus that was definitely not a road with shortcuts t finally arrive @ 16:20.. IMHO if some one doesn't know how to apply silicone then they shouldn't be learning on this project..lol
What's next. We need to watch more how to essential oil whole procedure through pressure cooker? I subscribe ur channel and already clicked on Bell icon
@@erdawidos2619 yeah i understand the fourshots ectect but i mean usually i see people using copper for the pipe before the condenser but you're using pipe...does it add any chemicals into the final product? havent seen anyone else use braided hose
There’s not an issue with closing off the built in safety vents on the pressure cooker as it’s an open system so the pressure won’t reach those that’s the safety valve is designed to operate at 👍
Hi, I tried to send you a message via your website but for some reason it wouldn’t send. I’m very interested in buying one of your pizza ovens when they become available.
Couldn’t you just use the silicone tube and maybe even use copper/metal wire to wrap around and keep the tube in a condenser shape? Also using a pressure cooker sounds more complicated imo than using a regular pot on the stove with a thermometer, set up like a chemistry distillation
A pressure coocking inside home and placed over gas oven is very dangerous. If any exit pressure be blocked down an explosion would be depressing. I was safe once this incident ( of course my pan hadn't these devices ours do). Maybe an eletric oven outside home was more suitable. Loved your explanation the whole project.

Curious if you put the remaining oil you decanted in the refrigerator will allow the oil to form a solid to separate the remaining water.
Never tried it to be honest. Let me know how you get on, if you do decide to try it.

when running alcohol through the braided hose is there a possibility for chemicals/ contaminates to enter the alcohol ???
Whenever you make any alcohol always pour out about 1/4 of it cause it can kill you

tnx, but one problem, the liqure thats made by this type of distiller goes hazy and foggy
Couldn’t you melt a hole in the plastic bucket? I’ve done that where I heat a screw over fire and then just push it through plastic.
2 cool
👍👍👍👍
Doesn't the pipe melt?? The pressure cooker gets pretty hot.
The pipe is submerged in cold water, that will help the steam to solidify into water.
how much energy you need to convert the water, it's not very efficient I don't think.
