I bought one of these in 2014....a 4x8...I've never experienced and issue. This is an exceptional product with exceptional product support. You will not go wrong with Topp Rax.
Looks like a well engineered product BUT... Test the same on both products please 6:10 mark. your jump test was done in the strong T section of your product and between the T for the others to assure bending.
You are correct… it is an extremely well engineered product and the other ones are not. ToppRax has three centers supports, one every 2 feet. Saferacks, monster racks New Age versus racks, they all use unsecured wire decking and have only have one center support . I stood in the same spot on both frames and theirs collapsed because they removed the 2 center support that were originally part of the frame design. All these racks are designed to be cheap…not to be strong. They cut corners everywhere they can and I don’t believe they’re rated at what they claim they are. And if they do hold the stated loads, they are still completely unstable. And the one I tried to hang in the middle of the frame and it completely collapsed. Pretty scary actually.
Those type of racks already exist. The problem is they are more unstable than all the rest, and they cost around $1600 plus $300 to $500 to have them installed! Not worth it in my opinion, as I’ve never had difficulty putting stuff on and off.
Sorry the racks are designed to lag into wood joists. You certainly could attach to steel structure but you would have to drill through the steel structure and use bolts with nuts to attach.
Well you obviously watched the video! Unfortunately there is nothing that come close. Pick one of the imports is all I can say. Sorry we can’t help you.
Sorry we are a small wholesale supplier on the west coast. We only sell in bulk to our dealers. We don’t ship diy kits so unfortunately we can’t help you.
Brandon Caldwell ha ha.... I’ll take that as a compliment! I’m 62 years old now but was about 54 when I did that video. I was a high diver, an Acapulco Cliff diver and a stuntman back in the 1980’s! Stay fit....stay young!
Your doesnt shake because it's mounted to the wall. Most people mounted these overhead infront of the garage door. There is no wall to mounted it to. If yours were not mounted to a wall it would be shaking like the others
115North Canton ....With all due respect, you don’t have a clue what you are talking about! I have been doing this for over 15 years now, and our company has installed over 60,000 racks. 90 to 95% of them get attached to the wall! But even if we install in the center of the garage, our rack still doesn’t shake or wobble like the other racks. SafeRacks, New Age Versa Rack and Fleximounts are the worst, most unstable overhead racks on the market. In my comparison video that I do the giant swings on the rack, that rack is actually mounted across the center of the garage. And even when we mount them above the garage door we generally still attach them to the front wall above the door spring bar. Simply put, our racks have an anti-shake design and are more stable than any other product on the market. Period!
Did you watch the video? They show a few installations that are exclusively ceiling mounted. He jumps onto it and swings his full body and it barely moves at all. 6:30
Too bad you guys are only on the West Coast. I'm in Georgia. Most of the country lives in the Eastern states. Cool design though. Better than that Chinese stuff I see at Lowes.
Great video. You certainly made it a clear decision.
bro.. that old man was swinging!

Great video, you really made me think about what I put in my garage
Love it well explained but I’m in west of london ENgland you have a distributor over here???
Sorry we are a small sales and installation company in Southern California and Utah only. We do not ship racks to individuals.
Put the shelves on a locking pulls and cable system would make it a lot easier to put things on and off the shelves.

Excellent and detailed comparisons! Love your product!
Great Video, I was concerned you were going to pull your back out or have a heart attack. (lol). Glad you are ok.
So how’s these racks holding up 2 years later? I’m impressed with the configuration and I’m in search of these now... Yuba City, CA ?
Pretty good arm strength at that age to do that swing. A lot of guys at the age is out of shape and could barely hang.
Do the ladies come with it?
Lol 😂 that’s awesome extra sleeping space for guests
I see this right after I buy safe racks.... darn it!!
If you bought them at Costco and they are still in the box, you can just return them! People do it all the time.
By far the strongest and safest overhead storage rack available
Do you ship to Australia 🇦🇺 ?
Sorry we don’t ship racks anywhere. We are sales and installation company in Southern California and Utah only.

look at this the deck fell through as he pulls it down.
Yes I did pull the deck, and it fell right through… which wouldn’t and shouldn’t happen if the product was better designed!
Do you guys have a website??
www.ToppRax.com
Definitely was a gymnast
My thoughts exactly as an ex-gymnast myself. That was a better than expected swing.
