      He could have sat out the occasional cup tie against lower league opposition and he could have still have played 90 minutes in other matches - mix it up and give him enough game-time to keep him happy - manage the situation.

They don’t have the drive because they feel they’re better than everyone else already and it cost them in Qatar.

Don't tell me Teddy Sheringham, Roniie Johnson, Dwight Yorke , Oliie GS and so many others were world class, but they delivered and became great.

    It's hilarious how Sourness said united should have kept Ronaldo because he was a "top professional". He refused to come on as a substitute and stormed off down the tunnel. He was on £600k-£700k a week. What's professional about that? Can't argue with his achievements and how he's looked after himself but you're well paid to do something, do it.

    Mr Souness knows what it takes to make a winning team. Pogba, for me, didn't take enough initiative, and if he's unwilling to do that the talent never gets applied. Rashford would have been a sub on the bench in the 1999 side. Again it's mentality with Rashford. Martial? Huge mentality problem! Man Utd under Ole were killing it until Ronaldo joined. It upset the balance of the side because others had to do his pressing work. And Ronaldo realised the low quality of the players around him and it annoyed him.

    Souness is spot on... he was a great player.... Pogba tells himself he is a great player... however Pogba cannot do the basics well
    .. Run .... find space ... tackle.... all the things required when your teams not playing well and need to stay in the game... lucky for him he had the outstanding Kante to do this for him in the French National team... Pogba loses the ball cheaply in the wrong areas and puts his backs under immediate preasure...
    He saps energy and enthusiasm from all his fellow team mates.
    The worst thing is we could all see this before he signed... as with Sancho Martial plus 60 million on a chelsea flop who at the time couldnt even get on the first 11...and the other prima Donna's.... so why did we sign them.
    Give our youngsters a chance instead of wasting all that money...
    We could have at least tried Ronaldo mixed with the younger generation to see if we could move forward.
    What Utd have now is woefully inadequate and theyre not a team.

    Did Salah try and run off with Simon's missus at some point? He has a real problem with him and throws out this "diving" thing which can't be thrown at him for about 3 seasons.

    • @Fractalchemystical
      @Fractalchemystical 9 месяцев назад

      I know, Simon's like a stuck record half the time. He's too ignorant to understand that actually Salah never even used to go down but he'd get kicked a lot and if you don't go down, then the ref won't give a foul in most cases. This forces players to go down and then it looks unnatural. This is all Salah did anyway, it's not that he was a 'diver' per se, he just learned that he had to go down when fouled or he wouldn't get anything. Most footballers do the same thing. This hasn't even been a talking point about Salah for around 3 seasons anyway, like you say, but Simon gets an opinion in his head and then sticks with it forever, seemingly.

    Rashford had a good half season where he proved himself after the World Cup in which he had limited play time. However, he has not shown much consistency in terms of assists or goals, which is important for a wide or inside forward. As a United fan, I believe they should have taken the money from PSG and used it to sign much-needed players. I respect Rashford's charity work, but it may have been a distraction for him.
