Being a San Diego native (and having a channel heavy on copycat burger recipes), with love and respect I have to say that Ballast is pronounced, "bal·last" not "ball-ist." Sorry! Not trying to be too picky!!! Fantastic video! You did a great job describing the beers, and the food. We are very proud of Ballast Point here in SD. Cheers!
Also a San Diego native here, & that bothered me too LOL I thought I was being too picky but growing up seeing them start & grow, & now having a place in Downtown Disney is just crazy, definitely proud of them.
100% hands down it is my favorite is when Peter says he is a connoisseur of yet another thing. The Peters and Kitras scale is very much a serious rating system. Love you guys!
The Bavarian Pretzel Bites and Bacon and Hatch Chile Burger sound so divine right now! Kitra's reaction to the bites and burger buns got me sold! A trip to the Lego store is nice to see new things they explore for creative sets.
I'm so glad you decided to try out Ballast Point. Ever since BP opened in Downtown Disney, it seems that very few vloggers and RUclipsrs I follow have tried it -- or if they did try it, they didn't get the experience on video. I think every other restaurant in DTD has been covered by almost everyone at some point, but, for whatever reason, Ballast Point always got overlooked. I always wondered if the BP food was any good, so I'm glad to hear that it exceeded expectations!
Yeah I don’t know why it took us so long to go there. I think a lot of other stuff opened around the same time and most of the attention went the other way
A decade ago I visited Ballast Point when it was a just brewery in a warehouse out in the dessert near San Diego. Back then, it was the height of the West Coast IPA boom, and Sculpin was their big deal. So crazy to see them in a place like Downtown Disney considering their humble origins :). Through my brewery friends, I heard they had fallen on hard times of recent (apparently they had expanded a bit too fast), but it's good to see them doing well. :)
A friend of mine from NJ was the COO of Ballast Point until they were bought out for 1billion dollars. He now is with Cutwater Spirits and they make canned cocktails. Cutwater Spirits is actually the old Ballast Point Distillery. The Double IPA means it’s a higher gravity beer that’s why it’s a 10%ABV. The Sculpin and Dorado IPA are their Flagship IPAs.
Peter's review of the coke had me laughing! I can so relate. I had to give a thumbs up just for that!! I don't drink beer either and I'm definitely more of a cocktail gal but seriously, all I usually want is a coke.
You had me at LEGO! I thought the “Soarin” effect was awesome :) Peter could surely go a sweet cider next time? And I’ll add Ballast Point to the list for next we’re there, looked soooo good!
You guys!! This makes me want to be there so bad! Ugh!! Love Ballast Point! Thank you for keeping the magic for the rest of us that don’t live there ...😊
Even in the middle of Georgia I saw Ballast Point and thought of beer with the cool packaging - we are big fisherman. I love the fish art on the case and cans. V cool.
Ballast Point is my faaaaavorite brewery. Their Oktoberfest (it's called Dead Ringer) is my all time favorite beer. I'm not a huge fan of IPAs either, but I like Ballast Point's so I totally understand how Kitra feels. Glad you guys got to enjoy a meal there!
I'm SOOO glad you tried the watermelon dorado. That's my favorite from Ballast Point and then they stopped bottling it. Now I know where to find it. Love the channel. Thank you guys!! :)
I’ve always wanted you guys to pop into the LEGO store, those LEGO girls outside are my besties. Love the bit about the advent calendar 😂😂😂Just got the LEGO D-0 set for my birthday and it’s my favorite set I’ve ever gotten.
I actually went to Ballast Point 4 days before the parks closed and got the fish tacos. They were very good. I will say though that Ralph Brennan's and Catal still are at the top of my list for favorite places to eat in Downtown Disney. Was glad to have gotten to go to the parks one last time before everything changed. I was debating if it was worth going and am glad I did or else I likely would not have gotten to visit Batuu for a very long time. Also, I got a chance to go to Trader Sam's before finding out that day that the parks would be closing after the next business day and flying home. It will be strange going back with all the changes that will likely be in place going forward.
My family went there in August. The burgers were very good and the serve was great. Our waitress was so very nice. We also got their fish fry as a takeout. Again, it was good.
Congrats on 120k you guys deserve 10mil keep up the great work ☺️ 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🎉🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎉🎊🎉🎉🎊🎉🎉🎊
OMG! 8:22 the Hamburger and Fries look so tasty. next time I go to Disney I have to try it, it looks so yummy, My goodness I'm salivating like a hungry cartoon Character.
Kitra! That's awesome that you picked the Kölsch as your favorite, because it's the totally the one I would have picked, too! We have a brewery near us (20 Corners Brewery) that makes a good Kölsch. HOWEVER!! I must say . . . Peter, I too am a connoiseur of Coca-Cola!! (Regular Coke, for me). I love trying all the different flavors, but good ol', ice cold Coke is my go-to!! You had me cracking up at your Coke tasting technique! 🤣
*Stevie Nicks' "Edge of Seventeen" plays in background* Kitra- "They're playing music from the '70s!" Me- "I guess you're not a connoisseur of music, huh Kitra?" Love you guys all the same!
You should have gotten the NES. One of the few things anymore that appreciate in value are Lego sets. Plus...it’s just soooo cool! At any rate, you two always have great videos that make me smile! Keep up the great work 😀
That’s a good deal on the flight and got a lot. Trying to remember when tasting beer, to get the full flavor of the is 2 to 3 sips. An sometimes see what beer pairs well with foods. When SeaWorld has a brewmaster club they showed different kinds and what paired best and amazed how it made the flavors of the food so good.
3:30 your beer didn’t your beer in a rangcore tooth! I use to live near Napa peter in the Bay Area and so many places serve garlic fries now that I think of it lol. I love them to btw great video as always and enjoy your videos while eating lunch 😃 15:40 my brother in law bought and built that falcon. He is now into sets you get from fans... crazy complicated. You better get that Nintendo system peter!
Loved the video straight away hitted the like button and I will be watching it on the FC. I want ask that the beer chesse and mustard are alcoholic or non alcoholic. If IPA means isopropyl alcohol the beer is sanatized🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. At 17:25 Kitra is being like Peter's mom. I love the Lego Star wars merch definitely want to check it out and I want to take some LEGO's for my brother as he loves them and he has more than 80 Lego sets and 120 mini figures. I finally finished rebels today. I was so sad to see Kanan and Ezra die. And congratulations for 120k thus we will be organising a celebration at the fan club tommorow.
My son has the Millennium Falcon. Got it for him for his B-day. I think it's 7500+ pieces. Took him 8.5hrs but that's his passion. Star Wars Legos are all over his room.
@@OrdinaryAdventures He watches youtube videos on how to build sets. Memorizes them and then assembles. He rarely actually looks at instruction books. Every Autistic kid has a gift in something. My boy has memory and building so I keep sets coming as often as I can. We ordered the Disneyland castle set for Christmas and every Super Mario set too. It may only take him two days to assemble all of it. He proudly displays all his sets in his room that are Star Wars related. Everything else we rotate from storage in our garage. The Falcon I thought would keep him busy but no, he flew through it.
I totally think Ordinary Adventures should fly down to Florida and visit Disney. Or perhaps a social-distanced road trip hitting points of interest along the way. My next fancy outing is to Batuu East with a reservation to Olgas next Saturday. Love seeing you both enjoying yourselves. 💖 Which drink should I get ? It’ll be my first time going ever!
You get 10% off with your Disney pass for the Mickey & Minnie Lego set. I know. I grabbed it. Saved $15. Very worth it. And fun to build. Takes about 6 hours tho.
On my way this morning from San Diego back to the lego store in downtown Disney. Picking up the Nintendo Nes set. If I could, I'd definitely pick up another just to see Peter happy. He deserves what makes him happy 😊.
The fact that you’re a fellow beer girl makes me love you even more 🤣 I’m still bummed that I was drinking a few feet from you at Juva and didn’t know it 🥺❤️
Oh yeah we were thinking of going there. I haven't had a IPA I like yet. However the watermelon and grapefruit sound like they wouldn't be bad. I love beer though. The problem with LEGO is I want so much of it and it’s all so expensive
The Soarin’ footage!!! Hilarious!! Thanks for keeping me laughing!! Congrats on 120k!!

Peter's enchantment with the lego set was so adorable I cannot.
