Ultra+ settings are demanding at 4K with FSR, let alone Ray Tracing.
the performance hit in this game with raytracing is actually so insane. egregious even for a very minor uplift. yes raytracing can look very good but mostly a gimmick not worth using atm in my opininon id rather have raster on with much higher textures even 8k in a gen or 2.
The performance impact for the visual difference isn't worth it for me personally although there are mods to further imporve the RT, but I go with non RT max + a reshade preset
Ahaha, great performance from your xtx, making me feel inadequate about my 4080
Hey man. Nice vid. I love the witcher 3 game! Are you using fsr on quality for the ultra+ preset too? I'm playing on a 7900 xtx too but my cpu it's a 13600k and on 4k ultra+ TAAU settings my pc struggles to hit 60 fps although i see old witcher 3 footage with the same settings that run with much more fps. Maybe the game got broken by some update?
U showed the options at the start of the video.
Your core is only at 2300mhz? Did you undervolt? Usually 1100mv for me gets me 2800mhz minimum.
What are you talking about? Put a time stamp.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer 7:02 for example. I meant the 7900xtx to be clear. I know your 7950X3D and 14900KS RIP through the Hertz.
@@armandomartinez2699 It's obvious you are talking about the 7900 XTX. I am still asking for a time stamp of what you are actually talking about, The XTX core is clearly averaging 2700MHz.
DLSS to FSR3 frame generation mod works perfect in this game. Just have to use version 0.10.3
Very minor differences. RT here seems to be oversaturated with warm and vibrance. Ultra+ is far more color accurate, for example 6:13
RT here seems to be oversaturated with warm and vibrance (Even that not by much)
path tracing has spoiled us
The non ray traced looks so flat.
This is the best ray tracing comparison I've seen. Instead of picking scenes that show the improvements, actually playing the game for half an hour through different scenes, times of the day shows that the difference is very small in actual gameplay
It can’t be that you don’t see a clear difference, and in many aspects. In the open world, we see self-shading on any vegetation. In the landscape, from the point of realism, where it should be dark it really dark, where it should be bright it really bright, nothing merges into a mess. Moreover, shadows have a much greater range of depth and distinction, which in combination with other colors, adds more expressive contrast. This is not to mention that the quality of the shadows themselves is higher. Indoors the situation is even more obvious, although in open spaces even on small objects there is shading where it should be.
Honestly I think raytracing is a gimmick. HDR done well is more impressive. I’ve a 4090 and I find it all meh.
RT is NOT a gimmick it’s just very intensive, soon games won’t even have a RT toggle, it will just ship with the game, we are already seeing this with titles like Avatar and Alan Wake which ALWAYS use some form of RT.
Ray Tracing IS the future of gaming for 2 reasons.
1. It eliminates a huge amount of time devs need to put in setting up baked lighting
2. It looks way better and makes all games with dynamic time of day infinitely easier to make.
it is still a baby in video game tech so let see how it will be in later on....very good implementation of HDR and ray tracing will be one to behold....
who knows there will be a future ray tracing patch in 5 to 6 years or a MOD
raytracing has multiple level of RAY tracing
that might make a huge difference
hdr and raytracing are two different things
but yeah difference here is close to neglible especially when you see the performance loss
