Pretty neat you taking this apart to get it working again. Thanks for posting. Also, if you do this a lot, you should get yourself a set of thread chasers to clean the threads with instead of the cutters because those threads on the 1/2 13 bolt are way too loose so I hope you put some thread locker on it.
Unfortunately, yes, but I have severely damaged some parts doing it. A lot of them were pressed on our have Ruston onto the point to where removing it will cause catastrophic damage. I have not yet found a way to easily fix that problem.
one of your other followers in the comments asked about finding parts for these...other than ebay...or finding another parts machine doner. Son you happen to know the name of these places?
@@jeffdagendesh2482 I know here in Missouri there are a lot of antique farm equipment stores. If you search up your states name and type in antique farm implement stores, you should find some usually in bigger country towns.
Yes it’s very difficult to get that axel out need a lot of patience and heat. And you need to make sure it’s the right correct fit for the bearing you are replacing.
@@coyotecolors i enjoyed you video on this. I have 2 McCromick Deering, #6 in the process of redoing. everything seems to be loose. But i wanted to flush out those axle bearings some how
@@jeffdagendesh9011 you can definitely use Molly grease or a high-pressured grease gun. You may have to drill out a part of the frame to install a grease nipple on it. I have done that in the past.
I know they are a few places around the country that actually have a large surplus of these types of pieces of equipment. I believe one is in Florida and another is in California
Unfortunately it’s all oiled. However that’s how most of them are in the early days I may or may not try threading some grease nipples on there to try waterproofing it more and having Grease where are the oil normally would go
I have a ideal Deering I took the drive wheel off and the 2 springs fell out and the 2 other metal pieces and I do not know how to put them back on could you help me out on this
You more than likely will have to replace the spring if I’m not mistaken, it should have a washer against the spring to ride on. Let me look up a schematic and I’ll try finding.

It’s amazing to see this side of your personality.
I hope you continue to make videos!! I love the style and how you get straight to the point. It makes it super clear and interesting 🧐
I love buying that old horse equipment
Thank you for this, it really helps me sleep :-)
If you allow me some advice, before starting with the hammer on blocked parts it is advisable to spray a WD-40 unlocking product.
Yo we need a story about the stuff u post on TikTok
Nice I just found a similar Deering. Stood in the forest for many ears, just a little oil mixed with diesel and I could back it out by hand!
This was suprisingly fun and satisfying to watch. Keep up the great work
Loved this video! Happy to support ❤️

Have you ever taken off any of the drivetrain gears..? with luck?

Did you just get banned?
I need the blade and a couple other parts for mine if you have a idea of where I can find parts
I know they are a few places around the country that actually have a large surplus of these types of pieces of equipment. I believe one is in Florida and another is in California
@@coyotecolors mine is rough I know it was working when I was little and a tree limb fell on it
@@travishopelogan2192 And unfortunately you can’t really weld on that stuff too without arcwelding
Jake, where does one get parts for these, I am rehabbing a Giant that has the gears and clutch facing the other way.
Unfortunately they are very had to find parts for. You may have to make a gear for it or find one at a place that sells them
At the moment all mine needs is the pitman arm that has the oil cup like yours in the video.
@@derweibhai I made my pitman arm. Use a hardwood.
