Hello Rich, I'm fairly new to light burn but have learned a lot from you since I started following you. You are awesome and enjoy watching and learning from you. But I do have a question I been watching almost all of your videos and I'm struggling trying to see how you would take an image from Google of like a viking for an example or a samurai that has a good amount of detail even as a vector. When I engrave on say like a metal business card my detail on the image doesn't quite come out like it should it's like it's to cluttered the detail is gone kinda. By the way im using a 50w fiber laser it would be awesome if you could post a video of how you would get the best results or the difference between not enough or to much detail. Thank you for everything you do on your channel
Rich, another great video. The possibilities are endless! You mention the difficulty with the tissue paper. Maybe glue the 4 panels to tissue paper before cutting and then use exacta knife or trimmer to cut out the panels. Again great video!!!
I cannot thank you enough for this, and all of your videos. This was educational all the way through the video. Your relaxed presentation and soft spoken approach make the experience enjoyable and not distracting to the topic that you prepare. Thank you for all you share with us! ~Ian
Great job! Exactly what I needed. A reminder that it is better to learn to use the tools rather than just depending on buying someone else's work. Thanks again. You rock!
Thanks once again Rich. I watched thinking I know how to do that, but still learnt at least two things I didn't know (saying that what I do know I learnt mostly from you). We are not into Halloween in the UK as much as you in the USA and my 9 Grandchildren are all grown up now, so not something I am likely to make. Though I am thinking of a Christmas🎅version.
Thanks! And you can use this process for any holiday! I suggest you search for and find all dingbat fonts! You can even find signage, like building signs!
I watched your video the other day and you made everything seem so easy to do. So I followed your steps and created my own versions! Thanks for all your videos.❤
I did a slightly different version: I glued on the top, left the bottom loose, made the open rectangle in the base instead a solid piece with a hole cut in it to hold the tealight from moving. Then the whole lantern fits over that bottom rectangle to stand in place. Just an easier way to get the tealight in and out.
Another great video Rich, while watching you assemble, I did say you forgot the paper, lol. I am thining that when I try this I am thinking that cellophane would be a good subsituite instead of tissue paper, and easier to work with. Also had another thought leave the tissue paper off and have a coloured tea light shining
Great video. I never realized that we could use ding bats as a graphic feature and that opens up so many possibilities! Your video was not long because the content is informative, inspirational and the time flew by. Thanks for sharing your expertise. 👍👍👍👍👍
Another great video Rich. Great tip about editing text. I have problems trying to get the cursor in the right place. Living in New Zealand where we have be using the metric system since the late 60's it always amuses me the way you guys switch between inches and millimeters. once again, thanks for what you do for us
This is a great and timely project. You always make it look so simple. You mentioned the paint pens and I looked on Amazon but I was unsure of the brand you used and I would assume you have not had any issues with the pens you buy. Do you get them from Amazon or somewhere else?
Yes I do Richard! I use the big graffiti markers for the large fills, amzn.to/3EYbUnW, and the fine point pens for cutting in details, amzn.to/3LJnM10. I also do blending with a paintbrush with these acrylic paints: amzn.to/3RIrifM
Hello Great project I am inspired! I bust got an atom stack a20. I don’t seem to have the focus gage. Can you confirm the dimensions for me. I will 3d print a part. Thanks and my apologies for reaching out in this way
Contact Atomstack for a replacement, or take another look in the box. I suggest you run a ramp test anyway to determine the proper focal length. The focusing tools aren't always accurate. Search ramp on my channel to learn how.
Excellent video Rich. Think I may build one - we will see - so many things to chase these days. Did you have a link to the tea lights you use - if so I didn't see it in the more description.
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy no problem...didn't know if it was in there and I missed it or not. Hope you start feeling better soon. Great video. I never realized we could use ding bats for graphic content. So many possibilities now! It was not long at all when the content is this good. 👍👍👍👍👍
i come back from picking my son up from work, see your reply, try it and it works. simply brilliant, the powers you have, BRILLIANT, lol, thank you sir much appreciated and hope you are keeping well@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy
Rich .. what am I doing wrong. I have 3 objects that I want to connect. I go to tools, I see Boolean Assist. .. It's not dark like a lot of them are so when I try to click it .... nothing happens .. I know its got to be another human stupidity by me. I also noted that you bar across the top with File Edit Tools etc. is a lot darker than mine .. can that be fixed? Thanks .. Nat
@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy That I can't find how to fix it on your videos that's why I'm reaching out to you and I thought I've received a better response than what you gave me I'm very disappointed
I have over 60,000 subscribers and 600 Patrons. Sorry but I can't help everyone, and priority support is for my Patrons, and comes first. I also have a free forum with over 46,000 members that help each other every day. I manage this all by myself, working 70+ hours a week, creating content for you for free. The only thing that I see that's rude are your comments! I don't do personal training and diagnostics in RUclips comments.
Sorry this is a *long video,* but the purpose was to show you how to create this with nothing but text and the union feature in Lightburn.
U say everytime IT will be a short Video 😉 but because of thus i Love the Style of your videos .
It never will be, as much as I want it to be! 🤪

Well I can't answer that in text. Try my partner Patrick's videos: www.youtube.com/@LSEngraving
love your style of teaching
Thank you VJ!
Thank you Rich! I really love watching this kind of video !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice simple project Rich. I have nieces and nephews who are going to benefit from this video. Thanks.

By far the best instructional Lightburn video on RUclips! Please keep them coming!
I appreciate that, *thanks!*

That was beautiful again, Rich, it's always nice to see how you explain everything and learn a lot

I do the same thing, to me it makes a lot more sense than to just "drop" the tealight in and hope it falls in place.
Works either way Steve! I like being able to see my logo when I remove the top 🤪

Both great ideas Ian! Tissue paper is what I had on hand at the moment.
Great video. Learned something new about text correcting. Never too long. Steve just did a different one in 2 parts.
I saw that Carl... this one has been in the works for 2 weeks; thanks for watching!

Maybe a better mouse? 🐭
Looks really good , blue print for differnt themes . Do you do a version with colour changing LEDs rather than a candles ?
No, but you can!
Great tutorial! Boolean Assistant is my friend :)
Mine too Mike!
Thank you for doing this. So we’ll explained even I could understand 😂
Happy to help!

Glad to hear that Rob! And thanks for the support!
You mentioned varnish in the video, was it the spay on varnish?
I corrected that later in the video, it was Rustolium triple coat glaze.
Curious why you didnt engrave the bats to black them out instead.
You can engrave the bats, but I prefer the black paint because it's faster.
As usual, outta the park, great vid. your text edit feature was great but i can not get it on my lightburn for some reason, 1.4.03
Yes, it's there. *Select* the text --> *Right click* and you'll see the option. It has to be text you created.

You can only select 2 items at a time with the Boolean feature. And you can control the screen look in the settings.
Is your tea lights art file on the forum? Love your work!!!!!
Thank you! No, it's not, this was just a simple tutorial on how to do it yourself from scratch.
Any chance you could tell me the name of the poly you used to spray this?
I used a glaze. amzn.to/45I4TCN

You said you help some guy 4 hours to fix his problem but yet you tell me to go look at videos that's pretty rude
You didn't even ask me what the problem was you just automatically sent me awat
