Eratik_oz_solo, that was the standard design for the first 2 years of the $2 (1988 and 1989). HH is the initials of the designer (Horst Hahne). After 1990, the initials didn't appear any more, so this is normal for those coins and won't affect the value.
Hi I watched your video and I realised I actually have the coin u show at the end of your video queens head at the top crown underneath and stars all around the inner circle of the coin it's a 2016 coin , do u no how much it's worth plz ?
Evan, in 1966, the Australian currency changed to decimal currency (this is when dollars and cents were introduced). That was the changeover. In 2016 (fifty years later), there was a special series of coins with a tribute to the old pre-decimal coins on the heads side. Many of these coins were low mintage, but in this 2018 set, they reproduced the $2 changeover coin with 2018 on the Heads side (instead of 2016), so it's even more scarce.
Not sure what mintage you’re referring to mate. Make sure to watch the whole video - there are a few coins released before 2018 that we’re re-released in this set with a 2018 date. That doesn’t include the Eternal Flame, the Invictus, the armistice coin or the IRB heads side. They already had 2018 versions of course. If you have a shoebox full of 2018 versions of the specific coins I flagged, then hold onto them.
I have 4 of the 2018 coloured coins. I also have a 2017 Olympic team green painted coin. I got them in my change, I liked them so I kept them.
I just purchased a few of the Coronation coin PCGS slabbed high grade... Prices are increasing dramatically. The 2013 variants as well.
Congratulations on getting the coronation coin!
What’s the best way to find any cool 2$ coins without noodling
Probably to buy them - either in sets when the sets are released or from collectors/dealers who have them to sell.
@@AustraliaCoins i cant buy them my parents dont let me, and they dont let me buy rolls either
@@thespikyspinosaurus6166 if you know anyone who works with coins (like in a shop), ask if they can keep an eye out for you.
@@AustraliaCoins I asked 1 person working in a bakery he said he also collects, either way I’ll definitely ask more people
i remember them coming out and thought getting one would be pointless as I already had pristine originals. Now I'm frustrated.
Yes, wish I’d grabbed a second set Jon before it jumped in value!
Thx for letting us know about these coins
Didn’t know anything about them
I’m gonna have to go though my collection now
Cheers 👍
You're welcome. Hope you find some happy surprises in your collection
I have a purple coranition coin and I want to know if it is rare
It's a low mintage coin Kent. You can check the RAM page for more info on mintages:

It sounds like one of the 2016 changeover coins commemorating fifty years of decimal currency. What denomination is your coin? ($2, $1, 50c, etc?)
If it’s the $2 coin, check eBay to see what similar coins sold for.
Here’s a guide for researching the coin values:

How many remembrance $2 coins are there?
Great information
Thanks Kayne

Mark, if it’s one of these coins, it sounds like it would be the original (circulated) coin, not one from this set. Is it the green one?
Nice video very informative
Thanks Callum!
