    Would love to hear your feedback on the new set up, I now got the camera lower to be able to see the glass on my desk and changed the lights. It is now no longer super pink and feels a bit colder with the lighting behind me. Let me know, better or worse?

      I think the fact it is full port maturation makes a big difference. I really am a fan of Port getting involved weather it is subtly like Penderyn Portwood or this jammy beast, that said there has been many a duff one! What Port maturation/finishes have you tried? Cheers

    • @alanmcloughlin909

      @@JeffWhisky tried the following
      Dalmore Portwood - a bit bland
      Glendronach Portwood - nice but the Sherry still showed up mostly as this was a finish
      Tomintoul Port - nice but a little middle of the field.
      Sample of a Bimber Port - was okay
      Arran Port - pleasant but wanted more from it
      Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban - lovely dram but again it’s a finish so the port part could be dialled up.
      I’m sure I’ve tried the Tomatin Port but can’t quite remember what I thought of that.

    If you can still find those going for GBP 70, buy several. I can't find anywhere on line that has the KK 8 CS 2022 for less than GBP 110. And don't even start in on the American prices - US$199 and up.

    • @JeffWhisky
      @JeffWhisky  Год назад

      On auction sites it often peaks at around that price with quite a few bottles appearing. I have just quickly looked at the Scotch Whisky Auctions where they have 4 bottles of the KK8 Port all currently at £45 each with two days to go. There is 8 bottles of KK 8 Bourbon there too at £20 but sure will shoot right up. Auctions is never something I have gotten into really. Cheers and good luck on your search SugarKitty!

    I would buy a bottle if you know where I can get it, I'm looking for a bottle of kilkerran 8year old cask strength, bourbon, and sherry cask, let me know, I will be paying what ever the price is, even $200.00 dollars for a bottle !!!

      And no, over the years I've never had any port matured or finished whisky that really appealed to me. The best one(s) might have been 'ok', And that is fine. Keep in mind that we must be lucky not all have the same (lack of) taste, so there is something for everyone (that doesn't appeal to others)
