Code Lyoko writers: "So, team, this weeks scheme is about Xana making gravity dissapear. How do we make this happen?" Some guy in the back: "AHUH, BEG MAGNIT"
Honestly growing up with parents that had traits just like ulrichs parents takes a huge toll on one’s self. It makes you super tense, anxious, and uncomfortable around your parents and the only time you get love is when you can actually get something right in there eyes. It’s an immense amount of pressure for a kid to be under and often times you get berated afterwards if you don’t meet there expectations. For anyone saying he could’ve missed the game or been nicer to his friends have obviously not had to go through the emotional and mental turmoil you have to work through with having parents with these traits. It’s really rough navigating through it and it’s very hurtful. I found Jeremy’s guilt tripping and lack of understanding after finding out about ulrichs situation to be kind of terrible since Ulrich is already super stressed and on top of all the stress and pressure he is getting even more stress and pressure. 😅 Ulrich kind of closed himself off at times, it’s a defense mechanism, I used to be like that too. I’d shut down, not answer certain questions that made me feel vulnerable and I’d seem like I was in my own head. It was me trying navigate through things. When Jeremy mentioned why Ulrich couldn’t open up about these things have obviously not have had to go through how unsafe/ unstable you feel in those situations. Often times I found that opening up to friends about these things is super hard as they don’t quite understand the grasp of how difficult it is to be in the situation and they are often times dismissive. 😭 anyways no hate to Jeremy, I love code lyoko. Just wanted to spread some awareness. I’m not going to lie, watching ulrichs family relationship made me feel seen as a kid.
I always loved the idea of crossing 2d with 3d and LOVED this show for doing that, but the 3d made me giggle this episode, @16:42 When Yumi talks about offense, and looks down as if to concentrate better, her left iris, didn't move so one iris is focused down, the other still up-- And I was laughing xD
*Jeremy:* A powerful enough electromagnet force can disrupt Earth's gravity. *(5 minutes later)* *Jeremy:* I have no idea why Xana is trying to take over the towns electrical network. ...Really Jeremy? Really? Sissi's baton disappeared into space and Yumi started to randomly float and yet you don't know why Xana is taking over the electrical network?
...What comes up must come down... ...unless it's Sissy's baton. .....I can just imagine it just floating in the air during the nighttime and many just think that It's a shooting star.
I’m sure she got back after the time reversion. Although, I wonder what is the range of the time reversion. It should at least affect the entire planet, but I’m not sure about beyond that.
This is a scary episode. The thought of being lifted into the ozone to see us try to burn through the atmosphere and if we live that, blow up when we reach the space vacuum.....
@@mauriciogarcia4795 Yeah, but imagine what watching this particular episode must have been like for everybody who has a fear of heights. The sheer thought of falling into the *Sky* must not have been particularly easy for them.
"We just gotta save the world without Ulrich this time. You have me, after all." Odd, the one hero that dies in Lyoko in every other episode for being overconfident.
Things I appreciate more rewatching this series as an adult: the Lyoko Warriors really are good kids on the whole, even though some of them hide it under a spike-ball layer of defense mechanisms. Also: Ulrich’s dad sucks. These two facts are deeply connected. Edit: also lol at all the “but they have a time machine!” comments. Honestly I think it’s better in the long run that you don’t come to rely on the time machine except in end-of-episode life-or-death situations, especially if you don’t know exactly how it works or what side effects it could potentially have down the line. And oh hey! We’re only so many episodes away from the show itself backing me up on this.
Right!? If this was in the later seasons where they found out what happens every time they go back in time, then this would make sense. But in this season, no way.
Why don't they immediately deactivate every tower that pops up? Why does Ulrich have reservations about going to Lyoko over a soccer game if it all gets reset anyways? There is no reason for him NOT to go to Lyoko.
in season 1 they did not have the super scan that immediately detects activated towers. They only had Aelita and the basic tower scan that checks each tower one by one and even still this program has to be run manually. Also the returns to the past are not real time travels. It's more like a reset of a simulation. That's why dead people won't be brought back to life
that means his dad would be mad at him, and even if it's for a brief moment , Ulrich still remembers it and his subconscious would kill him , trust me , I've lived through something similar , everytime I screw up , and dad gets mad at me , even if later stuff is ok , my subconscious keeps trying to literally kill me
It sort of fills like Jeremy only thinks about aelita and when she's in lyoko it like she can't defend herself sure it's good to have same with her but they act as if she is weak and can only deactivat the tower thing
Her power is not really useful in a one on one fight. The creativity power. but she's very good at dodging😃...and running. I wish she had some fighting tools/ powers though.
2:55 just a personal bookmark for when Sissi's baton flies off into space. I nearly laughed my head off the first time I saw it. And I feel like there was a follow up later where it's still floating out there, I can't be sure. What a great show.
WHY IS ULRICH ACTING SO DUMB???? Cant he just go fight in lyoko, beat xana and allow jeremy to activate the return to the past program? I mean seriously, its going to be like nothing ever happened- SO WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL??? And on another note AELITA IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was thinking that, but it wasn't until after he saved Ms Hertz that anything really happened, so it wasn't until then that he would have they would have had to return to the past.
BUT - naturally when xana attacks happen the idea of launching a return to the past should just pop into your brain and it is kind obvious that they will launch the program due to the scale of xana's plan
Likely because he couldn't bear his father's disappointment in the one thing he's actually good at : soccer. That possibly would've haunted him for the whole mission (perhaps even after the return to the past) if he came to Lyoko.
@@TheFlyingJew13 Xana, I respect. Giovanni, not so much. Because Xana is actually *shown* actually doing shit. Giovanni is nothing more than more than a glorified excuse to have the Jessie, James, and Meowth continuing chasing Ash and Pikachu around everyday. That is *not* worthy villain material.
Ulric knows they always return to the past in season 1 right? Like, you can miss the game and travel back in time no big deal. I'm honestly glad they introduced the idea of xanax getting stronger with time travel, it at least gives some reason to not use it for every little thing
Reporter: "In other news, 5 students from Kadic Academy and 2 adults, parents of other students, have strangely vanished into thin air. What is this phenomenon and where have they gone?" Imagine something like that had truly happened if they didn't have a chance to stop Xana in time, even after their return to the past fixed everything else.
Everytime I see this episode it reminds me of my Gramps he would watch this show with me when I was a kid he passed when I was in highschool and when I saw this episode on RUclips I cried missing my grandpa he was the greatest
Ulrich must have known Jeremy was going to use a return-to-the-past once he found out Xana was attacking, so skipping lyoko to play his soccer game doesn’t make any sense. He could have just done soccer after the return in time
Jeremy: on account of what happened to Sissi's baton... _cut scene to Sissi's baton floating out in space flying away from earth_ ME: OH MY GOD, THAT IS SO FUNNY... I'M LAUGHING MY HEAD OFF!!! Also me: I wonder how NASA would react if they found that floating in space... they'd be like: "wait what is that?" _one of the astronauts grabs it and after looking at it he says to his buddy next to him_ "It looks like a baton." "A BATON FLOATING IN THE MIDDLE OF SPACE?!?! IT WOULD OF HAVE TO BE THROWN BY A ROBOT AT A SUPER HIGH SPEED TO BREAK EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE!?!?! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR A HUMAN TO HAVE DONE THAT!"
The only way to actually do this is have an object more massive that the earth exactly close enough to pull you but not move the earth at the same time. And if an object like that was looming just outside our atmosphere youd have a lot more to worry about than floating.
Odd: "Let's rock, Ulrich, come on, world champion." Jeremy: "Yeah, but which one?" Odd: "Why both of them Jeremy, both of them." Odd is obviously referring to both Earth and Lyoko.
Jeremy has no right to get angry at Ulrich for not wanting to fight Xana and attending his soccer game like damn if you wanna be a friend try to understand he's got things in life to do like Ulrich already had pressure as it is from his miserable dad.

Ulrich is so relatable here anytime i see him in his anxious moments the tension is a real feeling
MadameOfHorror oh no omg 😂
Lol 😂😂😂 she was so concetrated she forgot to move her eye.
*Jeremy:* A powerful enough electromagnet force can disrupt Earth's gravity.
*(5 minutes later)*
*Jeremy:* I have no idea why Xana is trying to take over the towns electrical network.
...Really Jeremy? Really? Sissi's baton disappeared into space and Yumi started to randomly float and yet you don't know why Xana is taking over the electrical network?
I think what he meant to say was that he doesn't know why XANA is causing gravity distortions.
hahaha tht how u no the kids are hella stupid when thy ask stupid question......like hmmmm y dose xana wanna kill us
I like how odd is always the first one to defend his friend.
Yo!! Did kids and adults just died as they floated out of the atmosphere, while the others were fighting and freaking Aelita strolled around?
they didn't die , the return to the past can't bring back the dead
Poor ulrich
That back story that Odd explained about his dad made me cry
That boy put so much on the line for us
XANA monster: *does anything*
Odd: WeLcOmInG cOmMiTtEe
Not a monter he is evil
Who the fuck even uses that phrase
"AELITA YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!" Jeremie really does love her, huh?
...What comes up must come down...
...unless it's Sissy's baton.
.....I can just imagine it just floating in the air during the nighttime and many just think that It's a shooting star.
InkSelenaX sissys baton is now a shooting star meme
Sissi sees what she thinks is a shooting star but it's really her baton
I’m sure she got back after the time reversion. Although, I wonder what is the range of the time reversion. It should at least affect the entire planet, but I’m not sure about beyond that.
I think I could be that you can put in certain coordinates for how far back you can go back in time.
Can we pretend that batons in the night sky are like shooting stars-
N O.
This is a scary episode. The thought of being lifted into the ozone to see us try to burn through the atmosphere and if we live that, blow up when we reach the space vacuum.....
You think this is scary? Try being almost killed by a demonic A.I. who wants to trap you in a virtual simulation, never to be seen again.
You don't burn up when leaving the atmosphere, only upon reentry. Nor do you explode if you aren't launched in space without a suit.
freezaplanet419 Really? I didn’t know that.
They probably wouldn't burn, as they aren't going against gravity tmk. And I have no idea where the blowing up part came from.
There's a good amount of episodes where he's alone and managed to get the job done. But, yes, he's tío cooky
"But we have a TIME MACHINE!"
Dumb Lyoko
Season 2: You'll learn a harsh lesson.
I love this show so much that I had so many dreams about it
Thomas William Klein I would like to see all the series again but I can't find it anywhere... Urrrgh :(
@@Gamxin ye u know I thought that all those 95 episodes were one season xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
16:42
All that telekinesis must not be good for her brain XD
legend has it, Sissi’s baton is twirling in space to this day
Wait, the RTTP don't prevent that?
If I were Ulrich I would have said I had to go to the bathroom hahaha
Ulrich Stern the most beloved and legendary boy on code lyoko tv series!!!😄
lmao first Theo then Matt. Is every rival of Ulrich's share a voice with William
Theo, Matt, and William are all Sissi in disguise to mess with Ulrich
@@codeviper8665 nah sissy isn't that smart enough to pull that off.

@@SteveCrafts2k Mr. Delmas doesn't even have a daughter; Sissi is just X.A.N.A. in disguise trying to take down one of the Lyoko warriors
Damn xana really wants them dead
Really what gives you that idea.
Ulrich: Ugh, why can't you understand my game is more important than saving the world.
Jeremy: BUT WE HAVE A FREAKING TIME MACHINE!
Right!? If this was in the later seasons where they found out what happens every time they go back in time, then this would make sense. But in this season, no way.
this attack gave me nightmares when i was a kid
The monsters (you know the ones) in this episode gave me nightmares, and they still look creepy to me now.
same
It’s crazy, I actually jumped a little bit when that happened.
@@jonstarks7200 which monsters??? Currently have not finished the episode.
Ulrich kicking that ball was such an anime moment :3
Captain Tsubasa's vibe.
Poor Mrs. Hertz...that has to hurt bad.

I'll see myself out.

Aelita keeps racking up those savage points.
Why don't they immediately deactivate every tower that pops up? Why does Ulrich have reservations about going to Lyoko over a soccer game if it all gets reset anyways? There is no reason for him NOT to go to Lyoko.
It seems that if Xana does not attack, then the reset doesn't work. Also, the reset can not resurrect people.
in season 1 they did not have the super scan that immediately detects activated towers. They only had Aelita and the basic tower scan that checks each tower one by one and even still this program has to be run manually. Also the returns to the past are not real time travels. It's more like a reset of a simulation. That's why dead people won't be brought back to life
Timing is everything
that means his dad would be mad at him, and even if it's for a brief moment , Ulrich still remembers it and his subconscious would kill him , trust me , I've lived through something similar , everytime I screw up , and dad gets mad at me , even if later stuff is ok , my subconscious keeps trying to literally kill me
It's not real time travel, yet they do go back and reverse almost everything.
aelita: *breathes*
jeremy: iT's xAnA, qUiCk, tO tHe LaB
ulrich, yumi, and odd: ah shit, here we go again.
A moment of silence for Sissi's baton...
10:06 zooming in on Ulrich's butt XD
tomleo13 they want this d
boi
well when everybody sees the sports highlights the next day and then realize it's nothing but ulrich's ass then they'll probably find new reporters.
Why is it that most of the girls in this show are attracted to Ulrich?
That Weird Otaku Girl - Kadel+ l guess it's because they think he is HAWT.
19:25 that creepy tone as ulrich was walkin to the window gave me creepy vibes
I loved it🥺🖤🖤

''I'm proud of you, really i am!'' Dad of the year lmao....
Yeah he only says that when he is going to die haha. I know this is an old comment lol
Not gonna lie. Ulrich got some mad soccer skills. ⚽🦿
I KNOW!! That’s been bothering me so much!!

2:55 just a personal bookmark for when Sissi's baton flies off into space. I nearly laughed my head off the first time I saw it. And I feel like there was a follow up later where it's still floating out there, I can't be sure. What a great show.
This bit is one of my favs. It stands out for being so unique in the show. It's so random. I love it.
14:48 was probably the nicest thing she's ever said to one of her lackeys.
Ulrich performed the jecht shot! Who knew he was a blitzball player!
I always found it interesting how it seemed like Jeremie suddenly became a lot more active and capable in this episode
15:40 I’m surprised Xana’s monsters don’t tackle them more often. Yeah, I know they have lasers but still.
@@myafrifa8983 yeah but they most of the time don't know how bad it is gonna be until it happens.
Arent they like 13 or 14 here? Logic has no place with them tbh
Likely because he couldn't bear his father's disappointment in the one thing he's actually good at : soccer. That possibly would've haunted him for the whole mission (perhaps even after the return to the past) if he came to Lyoko.
I’m like Ulrich in this episode, I would love to make my dad proud but I keep letting him down, hopefully someday I’ll show him
it seems the town is blasting off agaaiiiiinn....! (i'll see myself out for that joke.
Well played sir well played
Well, the goalie in the opening looked like a Team Rocket Grunt. This is Giovanni's doing, not Xana
Best action scene in Code Lyoko 16:05
what about odd vs william? that was a pretty sick fight.
lmao i swear, people could make memes of this serie
Reporter: "In other news, 5 students from Kadic Academy and 2 adults, parents of other students, have strangely vanished into thin air. What is this phenomenon and where have they gone?"
Imagine something like that had truly happened if they didn't have a chance to stop Xana in time, even after their return to the past fixed everything else.
I wish I was in the show because I have some ideas for weapons
There were DEFINITELY some deaths in this episode
Everytime I see this episode it reminds me of my Gramps he would watch this show with me when I was a kid he passed when I was in highschool and when I saw this episode on RUclips I cried missing my grandpa he was the greatest
Umm ulrich could have just ask somebody to find miss herz.
Unfortunate no one could believe him or they were be too late
Ulrich must have known Jeremy was going to use a return-to-the-past once he found out Xana was attacking, so skipping lyoko to play his soccer game doesn’t make any sense. He could have just done soccer after the return in time
That's what I been saying
Why do all the teenagers have oversized foreheads but the adults dont

The only way to actually do this is have an object more massive that the earth exactly close enough to pull you but not move the earth at the same time. And if an object like that was looming just outside our atmosphere youd have a lot more to worry about than floating.
Probably had to be most serious Xana Attack so far in the series.
