Well that's a bummer. Heal fast my friend. I will let you know what I think of it. I have another friend showing me around as he is familiar with the place
Some areas were light on people. I think it's because the FPD funneled every one through Red Gate. MLE and Cemetery were empty. Campground, 3 Ravines and those trails around them were packed.
With Palos is all about what trail everyone gravitates to and how many people you cross paths with. Today I thought it was light but ran across someone that thought the place was packed.
Grass Hill trail is a lot of fun; good speed and that flowy feeling can be had on the berms going down. Note: coming off the dinosaur spine armored section at high speed is not so much fun.
What equipment did you use to make this video? I am also a huge lover of singletracks! I just put out a cool timewarp video of some singletracks in Wauconda
It may not show in the video but the etiquette is generally very good. The trails get very busy on weekends and people do follow trail etiquette. There are always some bad apples but they are a minority.
Nice edit. Warren Miller style
Thank you! 😁 Warren Miller is an influence.
I still need to get there to check out the system. I have been riding Rock cut a lot lately.
Definitely worth a visit. If you're able to go midweek, you'll avoid the crowds.
@@AdrenalineIsLife , looks like I will be there at 9a to ride tomorrow. We will be meeting at camp Kiwanis if you want to join us
@@MTBTrailSherpa I wish I could. I busted my ribs last weekend. I'm out of commission for a couple of weeks at least. 😔
Well that's a bummer. Heal fast my friend. I will let you know what I think of it. I have another friend showing me around as he is familiar with the place
Thanks. Have fun tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get to ride soon. 🤞
Great overview! Wow, that looked like a super crowded day.
I imagine people had lots of pent up energy from wet spring and the Covid . Glad you enjoyed it! 😁
i love it at palos. its a little far from me (i live near deer grove) but i try to get there on the weekends
Palos is a great place to ride. 👍 plenty of mileage to keep you happy.
Bout to try this place. How’s the parking?
Lots on Parking lots. You should be able to find a spot.
Here three years late because a buddy spotted himself at the 7:26 mark 😁. Nice video! Subscribed
Better late than never! Welcome!
Only its bi-directional....maybe good on weekdays
Definitely need to save those KOM attempts for the weekdays.
Raceway woods in carpentersville i heard is good also...
@@BicMichuM Raceway is good trail system. Very well maintained and fun.
Wow. For a Sunday it was pretty mellow. I only go when I can get a day off during the week. I get too impatient for the weekends.
Some areas were light on people. I think it's because the FPD funneled every one through Red Gate. MLE and Cemetery were empty. Campground, 3 Ravines and those trails around them were packed.
If this is mellow I want to know what rush hour looks like.

You deserve way more subs keep up the great vids🤟
Thank you! 😁
Just got home from there :) Cant wait till its open on weekends again to ride with buds that cant during the week. Great vid!
Thanks! Can't wait for that too. It'll spread things out a bit.
Great video!
Thanks! 😁 Glad you enjoyed it!
Dang, gotta plan a trip up north. I'm from Indiana so I think it'd be worth the quick drive.
Definitely worth a visit. Lot's of mileage to enjoy.
@@AdrenalineIsLife Seems that way, I don't mind crowds either so I think I'd have a good time.
Very true ride there all the time. Good video lets ride sometime!
Thanks! Sounds like a great idea. Always up to ride with new people. 🤟
Nice vid!
Thanks! Glad you liked it. 😀
@@AdrenalineIsLife Yeh sure man!
can a hybrid bike do this trail?
Yes. It'll be bumpy but certainly rideable.
Grass Hill trail is a lot of fun; good speed and that flowy feeling can be had on the berms going down. Note: coming off the dinosaur spine armored section at high speed is not so much fun.
Love that section! The dino spine is teeth jarring on a hardtail lol
Great video. I need to do more voiceover-type narrating in my videos like you’re doing...much more interesting.👍🏽
Thanks glad you liked it! 😁 It's always a good idea to try a different style. Everyone develops their own unique style.
yeah! 👌

Just a Hero 7 and Hero 8. They are very versatile. 🙂
@@AdrenalineIsLife I also have the 7 and 8. I just got done filming a hiking trip on the Deer Mountain Trail Loop in Rocky Mountain National Park.
I see alot of illinois riders have NO bike etiquette. No excuse me, rider by no nod to fellow riders. Geez. How rude
It may not show in the video but the etiquette is generally very good. The trails get very busy on weekends and people do follow trail etiquette. There are always some bad apples but they are a minority.
FIRST!! LoLZ
So have you ridden KickaPoo , IL and/or GBP in Terre Haute ,IN?
I've ridden Kickapoo but not Griffin. Loved Kickapoo.Griffin is on my must ride list.
