    I made onion oil and I was wondering if my method was ok. I “fried” mine on low heat for a few minutes and it came out with the golden green color and had that oniony smell. All the methods I’ve seen required a blender, which i don’t have access to so that was a nice touch. It’s been great for regrowing my bald edges…
    Thank you for this ✨

      Thank you so much for your comment. So happy to hear that you’ve been seeing good results with this, I really believe in it.
      Remember the hair will respond when it loves something and the minute you see results it means you’re doing something right, well done 👏🏾
      Please be careful to not over cook / fry your onions, when cooking all we want is for the juice to release easier.

    Is that rosemary that you used? I’m definitely trying this tomorrow. Please also tell us how you use it, after how long do you wash it off or do you use it as a pre poo? I’m thinking of the smell of the onions.

      That was rosemary that she used. I'm thinking she uses it for application throughout the week whether it be twice or 3 times a week (not sure how often she applies it weekly). I've used it this way, and I've also used it as a prepoo. ❤️

      Yes, I used Rosemary it’s proving to be a powerhouse in terms of length retention. I apply it to my scalp every morning, or every other day when I’m not on an intense hair growth regimen. I don’t wash it out until my next washday or weekly deep conditioning session. It definitely has a smell but its a lot stronger during application, and gradually gets better throughout the day. I’ll share more on how I work around the challenges in the follow up video. Please come back here and let me know how it went ☺️ All the best!

      Exactly right. I apply it every morning or every other day if my regimen allows for it. I’ve never used it as a pre poo because I already have other oils that work better for that but I’m interested…is that how you prefer to use the onion oil and why?

      @zinhleafrica actually, I was just starting out when I was using it as a prepoo and knew nothing about it until someone posted how they used it as a prepoo so I thought I'd give it a try, I really had nothing to lose at that point 😂. I tried it and my scalp and hair started to feel different, and after a while I thought why not leave it in so that it could do even more wonderful things, so I loved it! I definitely want to try it the way that you do it though. I did not do the double boiler and herbs etc. Only onions. This looks so good and healthy! ❤️

    Hi do you deal with the onion smell?

    • @zinhle.africa
      @zinhle.africa  3 месяца назад

      Hey, I can only smell it when I apply it in the morning or night and then it evaporates. Recently I put a little bit of camphor oil and I think it has helped a lot

      Hey, you can keep it anywhere away from the sun at room temperature. Make sure your batch lasts for a month max

    doesn't it go bad? im scared of making a whole lot, I make it in small batches all the time lol

    • @zinhle.africa
      @zinhle.africa  Год назад +1

      How long do your small batches last? Mine lasts for a month to 6 weeks. I prefer making oils for hair growth because it’s so easy to store and no it doesn’t go bad. Still, I’ve never kept a batch for too long (months and months on end) My hair loves this stuff lol. In general, oils have an amazing shelf life, at room temperature ☺️. I would advise you to keep it for 6 months max but apparently it can last for 2-3 years.

    Thank you Zintle. In the oils department, can I use raw shea butter?

    • @zinhle.africa
      @zinhle.africa  11 месяцев назад

      Yes but the mixture might harden as it cools down because of the Shea butter, making it more of a hair food than a hair oil consistency
