Thank you for watching! It was awesome to see Shawn land that Jack. I know that we’ve learned so much from others , that it’s only right to pass it on. We are grateful for all of your support. Tight lines🎣❤️
That’s awesome of you two helping out a new guy. Great fish caught in this video and loved seeing you fish inshore off land. Thanks for always keeping it real
Dang, you have got us HOOKED on your videos! No pun intended. Like others have said, onshore/ inshore fishing is so exciting to watch along with your narrative view! Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words! We are grateful for your support in our adventures and are always excited to make new videos. Have a good day and tight lines🎣❤️
Thank you Jerome for watching and taking the time to leave us your support! I actually haven’t thought about hand lining but will definitely look more into it. We do love eating those blue crabs. 🎣💙
Sometimes it can be a struggle for all, regardless of experience. A few very nice catches though! Nice video my friends! As always, thank you for sharing and keep gettin after em! Julie and Brent rock!!!
That's cool of you to help the new guy, Julie! 😎 He earned a new subscriber with the big jack catch! 👍 You caught the Blue Angels practicing! That's awesome! I salute that team of pilots! All that's missing is that tennis grunt when you cast that out, Julie! 😁 Well done, Brent! That's a nice red! 👏 The struggle is real, Julie. I'll watch you guys struggle! 🤣 Great video as always! 🤩
Thank you very much for the kind words! Shawn was a great guy to fish with and I was so excited for him when he landed that Jack! We always love seeing the Angels buzz by. It never gets old🇺🇸❤️ We’re always trying to show the real side of fishing, not just the glamorous days. Tight lines 🎣💙
@@reelcoastal I enjoyed the videos. If I can't be at the beach fishing, I'll be watching it somewhere. Right now I'm trying to get followers on Tiktok to be able to do lives then I'll start working on a RUclips channel. I just wanna do it for fun and not worry about trying to become a big influencer or make money. I'm too old for that🤣🤣
@ronjensen8190 same! Social media for us is to share any knowledge we’ve gained, having fun and being able to look back on the memories of it all one day. What’s your tik tok handle? I’ll make sure to follow you, if I’m not already.
great friend ,, there is no such species of fish where i live ,except Giant travely,, its pull is enough to make the fhising line scream, nice to meet you ,,,😁😁🙏🙏
That was an excellent two part video. That Jack was huge. Believe me, they are Excellent for eating also. Yes I would love to see both sides of fishing. That's what it's all about. Thank guys for keeping it reel 😊😊😊.

We agree with that! Not every day is going to be glamorous but even the hard days are worth getting outdoors. We appreciate your support and taking the time to watch 🎣❤️
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and sharing the kind words! In a month the fishing should be amazing with the cooler nights that we’ve been looking forward to. I’m sure you’ll have a great trip! We were over in Pickens on the sound side. Keep It Reel ❤️🎣

I really enjoy your videos. How is your foot doing? Catfish can be brutal . Hope tried the black suave (Prid). I hope to meet up with y'all this weekend. Im planning on spending the night on the beach Sat. & Sun. Catching Reel Memories 😊
Thanks for watching and leaving us a few words! The foot is all healed up, thankfully! I’m sure at some point we will hit the beach and look for a few fish. If you catch sight of us, make sure to say hi. I’ll pass along a sticker for your cooler. Enjoy your day and tight lines ❤️🎣
Thanks for watching! A lot of fishermen are on that bus right now. We just need the water temps to drop a bit and the grass to clear out. Fall is almost here… Tight lines❤️🎣
Missing you, woman. You guys ok? Went fishing myself today at Metapeake Wharf/Pier. No one was catching and the rocks and debris under the water cost me a small fortune. Lol, but I thought of you.
Yes of course we are good. Enjoying a long weekend of getting chores done and a bit of relaxing. Hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend and that your next trip proves more successful and less costly! Thanks so much for watching, tight lines❤️🎣
Grew up in P'cola fishing right where you guys are. Used to hitch hike out to Pickens before I had a car! Times have changed. One thing I would recommend is a good pair of river shoes with as much protection as you can find on top of the foot. The rays out there are something awful to step on. I've had some close calls but my buddy was absolutely filleted by a ray one day and I simply won't step foot in the water without protection anymore. (Merrell Hyrdo Mocs are great!) Shuffle those feet too! No normal steps when you're in the shallows. If you're cast netting for bait, research what a Leatherjacket fish looks like. I had a whole day of fishing ruined by one of those buggers when I tried to put him on a hook. The pain almost made me panic it was so bad and I felt like hell the rest of the day from the poison they have. Glad to see some Yanks out there enjoying the beach! Have fun be careful!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and for all the info shared! I always shuffle my feet in the waters here and probably should be wearing my water shoes with every trip. Sorry to hear about your friend’s experience!!! I’ve seen what those barbs can do. I have caught leatherjacks in the net many times. I learned my lesson years ago about the pain they can inflict! Now I just shake them back out of the net, into the water right away. Hope you have a wonderful day and tight lines ❤️🎣
Thank you so much for watching and the words of support! We really appreciate it. I remind myself on those days that’s it’s called fishing-not catching❤️🎣
Yes, slide those feet along the bottom. After that catfish barb, I’m very cautious with my feet. Never want to experience anything like that again. I agree with the mullet and pigfish. Thanks for sharing that bit of info! And thanks for watching ❤️🎣
Just an FYI, The trout that you need to wet your hands for are the cold-water trout and char, not the "speckled sea trout" which is in the weakfish family (Cynoscion). This is not part of the same family of salmanids where if you do not wet your hands or don't plan to keep them, you will expose them by your hands removing the slime.
@@mh53eflyguy thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! Yes, those are different trout varieties but I have always been taught that you should wet your hands for specs as well. They have a protective slime layer that when handled with dry hands can lead to disease/infection. FWC asks that all catches that will be released be handled with wet hands since most fish have a protective barrier. Either way, anything we can do to safely release fish is a good thing. Tight lines!❤️🎣
@@reelcoastal Please look into this more, you're conflating the two species and weakfish are not as susceptible as salmonoids. They are not the same species despite the common name, and your response shows that you are conflating them. Do as you please, just don't put out misinformation as bible. The FWC does not say on the website to do as you are advocating (I cannot post the website as YT flags it), but any salmon/real trout/char fisherman know to wet their hands for catch and release. Just understand a weakfish and a salmanoid are not even the same family. Does it hurt to do as you advocate? No. That said, you are telling your viewers and this poor guy information based on the wrong species of fish. In that case, you should do that for all catch and bycatch.
I was always taight that all fish have that coating, i never touch a fish if i can avoid it, i use grippers on their lip and pliers on the hook. just me, its a thing..
Using light tackle to stress out the fish more time than necessary is not cool. And I have many decades in fish experience. Use the correct setup to enjoy the fish fight and also to help it to return healthy to the sea ASAP
@@reelcoastalthe first catch of the guy. He was using 20 pound leader and took a lot to get the fish. And on top of that he took forever to return the fish to the water. The fish was almost dead. We as anglers, need to learn how to handle better the fish if you decide or must return it to the water. Just my two cents. Good video and tight lines
He’s new to fishing and as you can see I was helping him understand safe handling techniques. Thankfully the Jack swam away strong. I’m sure next time Shawn will do even better. We all learn, with each trip out, better techniques for catching and handling. 😊🎣🙏
