to get full power for a burnout without doing this switch, go ahead and turn everything off like he did in the video, pull the locker knob out (here is the important part!) as soon as you start the burnout click the locker button back in, it will let it rip. it will keep the tires locked in the rear until you let off.
there’s limiters and for whatever reason when you click the locker back off it full sends it.
been doing it this way for a couple years, no issues!
What year is your truck?
@@Jmschnider 2019
@@r10fishing58 ok so is mine, I’m going to go try this
@@r10fishing58so this works until I shift into 3rd gear then it cuts power
Good stuff, its better if you go through a normally closed side of a relay and then the switch opens the circuit to disable traction control. Just don’t forget to fuse the circuit.
If you unplug an ABS sensor from a rear wheel, it works
Use a relay and set the fuse up to the normally close so you can have the upfitter off regularly and on when you want to disable it
Could you give me a step by step at this for my 2018 f250
My 17 powerstroke i just pull the swich to lock the diff and do burnout and it does it really good
Full send. The mod of mods thanks for the video definitely doing this to my 2019 drove in 12 inches of snow yesterday and I was ready to sell the truck it almost made me wreck because it was slowing down by itself with a 28 foot mustang in tow
After you hold the bottom down the second time. Hit the same button twice and it goes into sport mode.
Awesome that works!
I have a 17 king ranch with spe tunes and the diff lock mod and my traction control does the same exact thing and it's so annoying its like a waste of money buying and installing the diff lock mod so I am super glad you found this out
Disable the advance track then tap the button three times fast it will go into “sport mode” which I believe disables everything.
Wait... there's a sport mode?!
Hunter Austin yooooo I’m gonna try it right now....
@@kcirtapegur I'm trying it on the way to work in the morning... mine has a few things done though 😉
Hunter Austin yep. It works. Gotta click 3 times, then again 3 times and it goes into sport mode.
You press it twice
You should of hooked it to switch 5 or 6. You can make them hot all time and then just flip the switch to turn it off.
5 and 6 is 40 amp dont wanna waste it on that
And then you would have battery die from sending power to the system while your in bed sleeping...no that wouldn't be a good idea, it's better on switched power
@@markhudson8007 the upfitter swiches only work with the switch on 😂
I love your videos brother I got 2016 Platinum and I've learned so much from you
Yea buddy lol always enjoy a follow powerstroke channel and of course love the great use of the aux switch lol
If you turn on your diff lock it turn your abs back on leave the diff lock off and turn off traction control and advance trac and you can do burnouts without pissing off your abs module
Duuuudeee. This is siiiik. Great idea!!!!!!!!!!! I have the same problem in my 2011 raptor and I’ve been so annoyed
Your a god dam hero! Thank you! And no your not the only one with a truck that thinks it knows best.
Him: Don’t do this
Me: I’m doing this ASAP
So just some easy info. You cannot spin the rear wheels with the locker engaged. It’s a safety for your rear diff. If you leave everything off and leave the locker off then the truck will spin no problem. I was able to do drifts and donuts no problem in my 2014 f150 with no locker engaged. It had 35” tires and the v8. All sorts of fun without blowing the locker
I’d use a relay to KILL the power when the switch is turned. Not the way you have it set up
Can you show a video doing it like this by chance😂 I want to do it to my 17 F350, and I am not any electrician either
The upfitter switch is relayed
@@98.infinity Yes the upfitter switch uses a relay, but it is a switched hot. Jonathon is saying to use the normally closed contacts on a second relay so that when the upfitter switch is used it would open the normally closed contacts.
I’m so doing this to my 2020 now
Did you end up doing it?
Dude, just select the mud mode on your trans. 2020+ is advanced.
@@240sxRule does it give you full control?
@@jeremygouin2172 Yup. I couldnt do a burnout with traction control full held off. Flicked through trans modes to mud. Bunch of warnings saying it's for offroad. Lit both tires up through a few gears that's for sure.
Ive been asking for this video forever!!!! Thanks
🤘🏼 I think ez lynks are setup to automatically clear codes once the power to the “key” is shut off and cut back on. Not 100% sure but pretty sure that’s how it was explained to me. Keep on keeping on brotha channel is always entertaining/helpful
I definitely need to bring my 2023 F350 over sometime for some help on increasing performance. I live close by…
Mine only limits power when I engage the rear locker. Gives me full power when locker is not engaged. Maybe a safety thing to save the locker
Relay... normally closed. Then you can turn full send “on” instead of off
My fully deleted 2016 won’t burn out when I turn the advanctrac off but if I just turn the traction control off, they’ll light up
Ford said it was power management programming they have built into the modules or some shit like that
I hear there is a Dyno mode you can bring up that shuts everything off with no codes pulling fuses etc it’s so you can put your truck on a Dyno. Have you heard of this
I have a 2011 and mine goes full send as soon as I turn it off?? I can burn as long and far as I want and no problem when off road either I don’t even have to use my 4WD sometimes when I start to dig I just turn traction control off and start slinging and it eats itself out
You are a hero.
Lmfao loving the disclaimer at the end ... off road use only!!!!!!
Depends on what kind of rear end you have on if it unlocks or doesn’t.
My F-150 would do a good ass burnout if I only clicked traction control off..When I turned advance trac off it wouldn’t do one worth a shit weird but it worked
Corey I just got a new 2021 F250 SD when I turned off the key truck kept running not sure why. How to you read codes on your phone is it an app??
Hit traction control twice rapidly puts you into hidden Sport Mode too.
Yeah sure
Yeah.... it’s so hidden that it’s clearly written in the manual.
My 22 tremor same way 7.3 gaser been looking for this and the horrible wheel hop fix.
I never do burn out but my e locker turns off 20 mph or so. That's badass your locker stays locked to 70 mph wheel speeds 👍
His only stays locked past 20 because he’s running a lock kit that SPE sells. I bought one for my truck but haven’t installed it yet.
I have to ask. How often do you plan on buying tires?
I did it to mine. Did it make your steering tighter? My 21 the wheel moved with a finger. Whenever I hit the switch my steering wheel tightens up.
Sounds Good Thanks.
Hey morderndieselcorey, after watching your video and I found Good information my question to you is after reading a little bit in the manual, says that if once you do the hold for five seconds and it doesn’t work. (see my key) so from going to the mykey page sounds like the person or dealership could have locked that feature out with your key. I’m wondering if you deleted your key and went through the steps again. You said that you’ve seen guys turn rubber before but yours won’t. Just a thought it wouldn’t surprise me that the dealerships are locking people out of sinister mode lol.
Could you connect the wire to the other terminal so that when put the FULL SEND switch into the one position all traction control is disabled?
your crazy bud love watching the vijos though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 2008 f-250 I want to be able to disable my traction control but I don’t have a button for it? It’s my plow truck so I’m really trying to get it figured out I’m sick and tired of getting stuck so simply
Nice video man ! I’m love been way all you vids super awesome content!!!!
On my 22 f250 the Ford dealer forgot to check the box I wanted upfitter switches! Just found that out yesterday and they build the truck next week . This sucks and now they say they can’t add them . You would think on an $80k truck that’s not made yet they could add them !!
If I double tap my traction button it says sport mode and o can full send
All you have to do is double press the traction control button. Don't hold it. Double press quickly.
😂
1st pess- Off.
2nd press- Back on.
👌
@TopCorey check out ForScan to shut off the TPMS on the truck to get rid of the light. With ForScan you can turn on and off all kinds of things by rewriting perimeters on the trucks computer system. I turned on and unlocked (use navi in motion) Navigation on my truck and turned on bambi mode (fog lights stay on with high beams). Its a really cool system check it out.
Hey man I have a 17 plantinum superduty and having the same problem. What are you full mods list? Thanks brotha :)
I was searching for the exact OPPOSITE,,, my f350 6 inch bds lifted super duty as NO REAR END TRACTION...... slippy slide Help!!!!!!
Hmm, I have no issue with advancetrac but when I turn mine off, I just press and hold the traction control button, I don’t let go and do it hit the button twice, just hold that button down, it will say traction control off *keep holding* then it will say advancetrac off
Smoking the tires!! Awesome
Whatever you do, DO NOT do this. *furiously takes notes on how to do this*
😂
Fukn love man , beauty
So I have a 2020 F350 is the same programming for the 19s and 2022s? I dunno who to get a tune from etc.
I love the video and the idea! One thing I love about your truck is seeing the tach hit 4k RPM! Wtf? My 2021 won't go past 2900 -3k. Is this part of a tune you have or does the full send mode affect the rev limit too? Thanks in advance!
It’s the manual mode. It makes it so he chooses when it shifts.
@@ethan1995 mine just falls flat at 3000 even in manual mode. I can hold it wide open in any gear it will just rev limit there
It’s all in the tune
So if I wanted to just pull the fuse to do a burn out which fuse would it be
So what happened to your fuel economy? I'm a hot shot owner and I'm wondering if it'll help with towing and fuel.
Wow sounds incredible, what's the exhaust setup? Is it a 4" or 5?
It doesn’t have an exhaust he deleted it
Cool video. I'm definitely doing it but damn man, should of been a 1 minute video.
Advantage trac messes it up. If you do just traction control it's always worked for me
Mines a 16, if I press t/c twice I can’t do a burnout at all. If I press it once and hold till advance trac goes off I can do a burnout with out engaging the locker. I’ve never seen a truck with electronic locker engaged allow you to overpower the rear by much without some sort of mod.
Can’t you order them with a traditional locker? When I ordered my ‘14 I remember it being available. Maybe I’m wrong? I’d be careful letting the tires grab with the e locker.
I thought there was a mod to allow the e locker to not disengage that wasn’t so cumbersome too. Seemed like spe or someone similar had a way to trick the computer into not seeing it engage
Yeah I have the e locker mod to keep the diff locked passed 25mph
How do you get this mod?
Could be wrong here, but have you tryed it without the rear diff locked.? Alot of vehicles OE have a rev/speed limiter active when locker is active. Either way pretty innovative way to go Full Send.. lol..
I used four scann and totally disabled it. Can also disable the TPS light.
When I do this it clocks my steering wheel 90 degrees. Put the fuse back and my steering wheel centers again.
Anyone else deal with that?
2017 F250 platinum truck.
What happened to the relay mod from SPE???
It's crazy because you would think by locking the rear diff it would disable the traction controls.. thats odd.
So in my truck, I just hold the traction control button once for 5 seconds and it doesn't cut power.., i wonder if pressing and then pressing and holding does something different?
@Jake Heke 2011 powerstroke has no issues with it.., thats stupid
Ever tried using the 4 wheel drive... Most likely won't lock the front end while service advance Trac light on
Next video why my 6.7 need a trans
Anyone else figure out how to keep locker engaged? Did this mod and when i cut the power i also loose my locking differential.
Hey Corey! I don’t have the upfitter switches, could I run a 12v line to one side of a switch and come out of the other side with a fused circuit to the negative side of the pin and do the same? I’m truly not sure how the upfitter switches work? Thanks for any help! I have been unhooking the drivers side abs connection and am able to get full power it’s just aggravating and I want something way more convenient! Thanks Mike
BTW! Forgot to say year model! I have 2019 With an emperor S370 and stroker pump and most of what SPE has to offer on the other stuff for my truck! That TCM tune you are running works really well with my setup, as soon as I watched your video I purchased it from Amy and have loved it so far!!
Following
That’s wired mine goes full send mode as soon as my traction control is off
What did you do to it cause mine does and I have 180 plus tunes and it still locks
Video is bad ass bro!!
Do I need the full lock rear end mod for this to work ?
How did your steering wheel get cracked?
My 2020 Sierra 3500 you push and hold traction, the traction will turn off, and you keep holding it after you see that, and then another message pops up and then everything is deactivated... I know it works, because it slide like hell when you mash on the gas. Maybe try this with your Ford... press and continue to hold, don’t repress
Good stuff
I take it that the E-Locker works just fine still?
I do it in my 2012 and my diff lock goes out 😢
Love it
Cory does this remove the speed limiter?? If not is there a way on a 2022?
not sure but will try to find out
What app do u use to read codes and stuff
I believe the diff lock cuts power, it does for sure on my 5.0 f150 but don’t have that option on my 6.7
One tire fires are no fun without the diff lock engaged
I agree 100%
Great video though and love the truck
Corey does SPE Dan’s 2014 get the wrench with that setup? I have a 2015 F350.
Don't bother asking. Corey is too busy to ever reply
If your wrench indicator is on but you PPEI tuner doesn't detect any trouble codes then don't worry about it. If you don't have a PPEI tuner then I guess you should of made a better investment!
I spoke with him, if the wrench is on keep driving for a few and it will clear it’s self. I actually ended up figuring out that it clears its self on my truck also if I just drive for a little and the truck sees it has communication with the ABS system. 👍
What's the difference between this and just turning my traction control off with the button?
for me on my truck it would still cut engine power as soon as i would spin. Even if everything is off, Traction control, advanced trac, sport mode. Didnt matter, the only way to get full send is to pull fuse.
It's so stupid that these car makers would prevent you from being ABLE to turn this off for as long as you want. Having TC ON, prevents you from trying to get UNSTUCK like in sand, snow, mud..
hey i got a question for you! i have a 2015 ford escape 2.0 EcoBoost with 122k. recently when i first start my car and i usually let it idle for about 3 minutes and i put it in drive and the car jolts a little bit! if i put it in reverse or neutral its all smooth! once the car warms up everything is smooth like coming out of a store start the car put it in drive and its smooth only when i first start my car, my transmission was rebuilt at 53k and now has 122k on it, last week i did do a transmission drain and fill on it and the transmission fluid was dirty and black! but it did have a little red color to it! and the transmission fluid didnt smell burnt. it seemed to fix the problem start the car in the morning put it in drive all smooth! i think the problem is coming back when i put the car in drive its very slight jerk, do you think i should do another drain and fill on the transmission to get more of the dirty fluid out? any advice? oh yeah no check engine light on.
Ask whistlen diesel on his channnel...he will fix the problem
@@billymann5325 thanks man i reached out to him!
Hey man thanks for reaching out, I’m not a transmission guy but maybe sounds Converter related??? I’m sure Someone on here has some expertise around this. Feel free to chime in!!
@@TopCorey thank you so much! keep up the great job!
So what's with the one wheel wonders on the fords too? Best way to change it?
Lock your diff
Will this delete/by-pass work on a 2020 f350 6.7L?
Yes it works
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!!
Awesome
It wont spin because you have the locker engaged push the locker button back in and she’ll spin
Wicked
Hey could you please tel me your unloaded trans temp at around 80 mph? I’m at like 235 on my 17 and seems high
I run around 200-205 that’s seems high
Jake heke ya she just shit the bed ford say anything above stock they Will shit out within 50k miles ... I had tuned at brand new and at 56k toast. Dealer did not cover
have you done a rear diff mod to this already?
I believe the wrench will go away after driving so many feet after turning the system back on i did the same thing on my f150
You are right, I found that out the day after I filmed lol
Dude buy a $50 OBD2 link cable from Amazon and then go to Forscan.org and download the software. You can turn off traction control and adv. Traction control in the computer system then you won't have codes thrown.
Plus he'll be able to turn off the TPMS system and that light will disappear.
Would you happen to have a link to a spreadsheet in order to do that for a 2017 F250
@@danny5008 I don't have one for that year but you should be able to fine one on Google or at the Forscan community on their site. Another place to try is the Facebook group called Forscan & ford sync users.
@@Kirkmorris13 couldn't find anything thing in the Facebook group sadly. There was one post but everyone commented that it didn't work. Hope we get another video if corey finds anything using forscan
