Death Race was a decent dumb action flick that did something you don't see everyday: car combat.

it went downhill after that, i still want a decent sequel
well it got a lot of critiques back then because jason statham is over rated that he makes another movie again and again. like no offence because think about it he made a lot of action movie backthen so when jason statham gaining some attention. the production or studion wants to used that as advantage to make a lot of profit. tho i like jason statham when i was in my teen he is so bad ass to me back then but so it just my opinion why it get a lot of critique in this movie. especially when it comes to action genre

well...you said it. It was dumb. In the sense that even the action scenes didn't really make sense and were extremely unoriginal. So imho the critics were right to shit on it.
Statham is the only good thing the movie has going for it.
Case: “This is a race, you don’t go backwards. And you don’t get out of the car.”
Jensen: “Don’t care. Lmao.”
She's obviously never played F1 online

The touch of having Jenson do it with his own hands, he doesn’t want to make it painful and slow as revenge, his revenge is straight to the point, neck break, doesn’t care about dying or what comes next, he’s blinded by that rage and anger, he wants to make sure that Pachenko is dead by his own hand.
And he wants Hennessy to know he's coming for her next. He may be playing her game, but he's playing on his own rules and his own terms.
The closest thing we have to Twisted Metal in the movies. And it's awesome!

This comment reminds me of seeing this on bootleg dvds that time. After purchasing bootleg copy of latest episode of an anime I’m looking for that time he offer this I was like na I’m good. Then the other dvd sellers playing this on their player I saw the character intro and I came back to the person I purchased the anime before and he was like “told you gonna go back for this.”

Every death race fan watching this at home was just like "Jesus that seemed pretty personal, what the fuck did he do?"
I feel like they wouldn't care about that, they would be screaming "more more more"
@@CyberShink I'd wager this wasn't the first time it seemed personal between Frank and another driver but he got out of the car for this one and executed him with his bare hands. I would imagine that doesn't happen too often in general, let alone with Frank.

My mates and I saw this in the theater we were going nuts screaming and laughing it was a great movie to watch I’ll never forget it!
People ask why the sequels looked different and that's because of a new director dude went on a lower budget
lower budget doesnt always mean lower quality, but the sequels just lacked action, and that stupid slow mo every 5 secs

Movies like these, that are actually good. But because of critics are ranked as "trash"... Never ever trust a film or game critic, the critics are just people. And more often than not, people don't know shit. You like what you like, don't let others be the judge of what is good and not.

But then that driver finds out that you were the one that helped frame him.

You know, with the whole unemployment thing in the beginning, you'd think Hennesey could have taken advantage of that by offering him a job to be Tombstone with a good chunk of money and NOT run the risk of having a potential enemy in her prison.
She had money, power, position, a virtual fortress on an island with top notch security, slave labour, a personal army, and an endless supply of disposable criminal assets to do any "black ops" she wanted; in her mind, why should she bother the potential risk of a reformed criminal saying "no," regardless of whatever funds she'd offer, when framing them and forcing them into a death sentence is much more expedient and you don't have to pay for it? That's the basic premise of almost any villain in any story: why should I do things the "right" way (a VERY loose interpretation of "right") and risk not getting what I want when I can do something I won't be held accountable for, have no moral issue with doing it, risk nothing but angering one ant-sized threat, and all but guarantee that I get want I want?

It's unreal that when they start shooting at each other and none of the bullets hit them
Within the context of the movie it makes sense. Pachenko had better armor, but Frank had better guns. Both cars had bullet proof glass and tons of steel plating to protect the drivers. So it makes sense that they could handle several seconds of sustained machine gun fire without someone dying.
In the real world, that much armor would slow the cars down too much and if those M134’s had a realistic rate of fire, they would either shred Pachenko’s armor/glass, cover his windshield in bullet marks effectively blinding him, or run out of ammo. That or Pachenko would outlast Frank’s car and overwhelm it since he has more guns and armor.

@@jlim9411 i don’t think the armor on pachenkos car could outlast franks guns tho, 1 mini gun would shred his glass and armor fairly quickly but 2 mini guns, his armor wouldn’t last long at all that’s if he had the realistic rate of fire plus , 7.62x51 is a powerful round. Dope ass scene tho
