It looks sooooooooo good! Mexican food is by far my favorite. If I lost my hearing... my sight... my legs, arms, anything... I'll be okay. Just don't EVER take Mexican food away from me!!!
I made this a few months back and it was an absolute showstopper for a brunch my wife and I hosted. I took it up a notch the second time around. For a good flavor bomb, season your roast on both sides and before you add it to the slow cooker, heat a few TBSPs of any high smoke point oil in a Dutch oven or large pot on Med-High heat and sear for 3 - 4 minutes on both sides. After searing, place roast in slow cooker, and deglaze the pot with about 1/2 Cup of Tequila and reduce very slightly (until alcohol cooks off). Add to beef bouillon mixture before pouring into the crock pot. Thank you, Claudia for everything you do here!
I worked at a resort in Arizona where we made our own au jus for the prime rib dinner. We use 150 lbs of beef ribs, vegetables and seasonings. Slow cook it all night. The next morning we strained the liquid. The 150 lbs of meat was thrown away. One cook would grab several lbs of meat and make machaca for the crew. This was some of the best meat I've ever tasted.
Love watching your videos, my mom unfortunately passed away before I got to learn her recipes, so watching you has helped so much. Much love Claudia, keep up the amazing videos!❤
Made this tonight for dinner! So amazing! I cannot believe I’ve spent so much money ordering this at restaurants when I can make it at home for so much cheaper...and tastes better! Thank you so much Claudia!!
I rarely comment on videos but I felt compelled to tell you this and I’m not ashamed to do so. Growing up in a Mexican household my mom always tried to have my sister and I at her hip while cooking for my dad so that we could learn the ropes for our own adult life. Well, other things were of my interest so I wasn’t present. Now, married (and married to a Mexican man) I was always stressed when it came down to dinner time because I knew/know my man is a simple man. He’s happy with beans de la oya, some rice and queso fresco. Well, the problem was that that was basically all I knew how to make lol. Your videos have taught me SO MUCH and has given me so much confidence to now show my kids how to cook so that they don’t have these issues when they’re beautiful young women. I mean it from the bottom of my heart, you are a god send and thank you for all that you do!!! Hugs & kisses, from Austin, TX
This video started off showing how economical latina women are. Ay gracias a dios para las latinas🙏🏽 They have been treasures in my life, and taught me much. Gracias chef, voy y cocinar esa recipe mañana🎉
I've been living in TX for 2 years and first tasted this from a Mexican restaurant for breakfast! I had to learn how to recreate it at home! This is now my 2nd time making it! Thank you!
Thank you for your wonderful channel. I tend to follow historic channels and cooking channels, simply to improve my education. I have followed other channels and used their recipes but your recipes are fast becoming a staple in our rotation. I must confess that I love Chef John on Food Wishes for his culinary expertise. But you have these amazing recipes that my family loves so much that I continually turn to your channel for something I never tried before. I truly appreciate your channel. Thank you for your sense of family. I just imagine the joy around your table when you are cooking such delicious recipes. It’s great to see your children enjoying your taste tests. God bless you and your family and know you have a true fan of your abilities.
Yay! U made my recommendation 🙌 love me some machaca. Thanks girl. Sometimes I make this for breakfast burritos and add some egg. Can we get more crock pot recipes 🙏
This is how I was taught to make my machaca meat. The only difference my mom used to put all her vegetables on top so that it could be absorbed through the whole roast. It looks delicious!!
Girl! You should look into an instant pot. You will love it. I LOVE your recipes and something likes this would take you just an hour to cook. 👩🏻🍳 being a mom myself I’m always looking to cook GOOD and delicious food but FAST!
Thank you for this recipe! I have it cooking in my Instant Pot right now. I have a garden full of tomatoes, poblanos, and anaheim chilis so I appreciate that this recipe used several of those. I can't wait to taste it!
@@robbysalz8710 it turned out great in the Instant Pot! I cooked it for 35 minutes on the Meat/Stew setting, and let it natural release. I have since cooked the recipe two more times - once in my slow cooker, and a second time in the Instant Pot. It turns out amazing with both cooking methods. No difference in flavor that I can tell.
I love watching your videos, I always yelling "Another One" thank you, thank you, thank you! You make it so easy for me. An make my family love the dishes.
I recently came across your channel..... I'm so glad to have found it. You make everything look easy. I made this Machaca this past Sunday - My family loved it. Thank you. The goal is to now make one of your recipes every week. Keep them coming....
Looks great! In the Houston area machaca or machacado is beef jerky ground and fluffed up in a food processor. Usually cooked with eggs for breakfast tacos and it’s fabulous!
Hello Claudia, I made your receipe for Machaca Beef today. And turned out wonderfully. Thank you for taking the take to film it. Thank you from Forney, TX.
and this one i actually have in my crock pot as we speak all i have been doing is making your food its so good and im going to keep making love your videos
Girl!!! You are the bomb!! Following your recipes is so easy. You explain everything you do step by step. I love it! I’m Puerto Rican and let me tell you imma bout to become a Mexican girl. I can’t wait to make all of it!!! I’m excited !!!! Thanks keep cooking.😜
How the hell you stay so freaking skinny!!??! I started a diet today y luego tú me sales con tus recetas buenísimas!! Thank you for the recepie I used to eat this when I lived in Sinaloa and now that I live in the US it's so hard to find here!.
So I've made this two times now. For some reason I cannot get Anaheim peppers around here so I substituted canned New Mexico Hatch Chiles. It turned okay and it only took me a day and a half to scarf it all down. Last night I used 1 large bell pepper and 5 Jalapenos in place of the Anaheims and it was totally delicious! I only used the seeds and stuff from the first three Jalapenos and its not hot at all. Very kid safe but the next time I'll use all five. Oh, and I also threw about 1 teaspoon of Cumin into the crockpot.
I really enjoy your way of cooking. 😊. You made me a little nervous with your sleeves. Lol 😬. Beautiful top though. 😁. See you in your next video. 👍😊👍❤️❤️
I never really knew what that was until my step mother had brought some from Mexico..!! She eats hers the way you make it with a side of eggs 😋 delicious..!!
Good God!!! How does a person get this cute. I'm dyin' here already. Seriously though, growing up in Arizona I really miss Machaca. Mr.G's yo! (those who've been to this restaurant know what I'm jonesing for). Gonna definitely give this recipe a try. Can you say Machaca and egg breakfast burritos with Tomatillo salsa?
Everyone is talking about her sleeves and my oblivious ass was just looking at that yummy food then I read the comments and the sleeves caught my attention lol
Trying this soon. 😘 Going to try it your way. I usually put eggs and bell peppers, but sounds good ur way. I could freeze it and add it to whatever, like you said. Yum!
Made your recipe for the first time today. It was good but a little to bland for our taste. I added 1 tbs of chili powder, 1/2 tbs of cumin and jalapenos to taste. 1 tbs of taco seasoning and some garlic salt. WA-LA Perfecto!
Perfect recipe helped me make the best Machaca, this is one of my favorite dishes but so many restaurants do it bad. I finally decided to take the time and make it and was so lucky to find your video. The other videos I saw were on the weak side just cooking the meat with eggs but not making the main ingredient, the meat. Thank guys for making this video, your lovely and your husband did a great job of editing this video, the lighting's good and audio sound great. My first time making this dish came out stellar. The meat was super juicy and tasty and my family loved it. The one concern I have is your long sleeves, this scared me and my wife as we thought you going to catch on fire every time you went to the stove. Then I thought...Great viral video idea, just don't get hurt :) Good luck and thank you guys, we love you too.
I love you all and always keep in mind that this is the way I make my recipes ☺️😉 the way I was taught 😘 PLEASE DONT PANIC 🤦🏼♀️ 💁🏼♀️

Made this tonight for dinner! So amazing! I cannot believe I’ve spent so much money ordering this at restaurants when I can make it at home for so much cheaper...and tastes better! Thank you so much Claudia!!
I guess you can call it machaca but it's not authentic and tastes nothing like the real thing. Looks good though.
