There was no reason to be rude to the person who asked the question. I understood what was meant. So did you. I have owned more than a few steam cleaners. From way back when one of the first ones were introduced. The Monster it was called. That was a fantastic steam cleaner. No longer made. I do not know the reason for that. It was $99 about 15- 18 years ago. I also had the Shark steam pocket cleaner which was very good! It died of old age. It owed me nothing. I used it VERY often for many things. I just purchased this. Well. It is like one of those Suzie Homemaker toys for kids! YES! I read the instruction manual. It has barely any steam out put. I can put my hand in what little steam comes out. So it is like cleaning with warm water. Maybe something is wrong with this particular one? I will call customer service and question if this could be. I have it 2 days now. I tried it again to see if it needed to be "broken in" as that expression goes. After the light went out ( meaning it is ready for use) I waited a minute or a little more to give it q better chance at doing what it is supposed to do. Same thing. I tiny stream of tepid steam. For it to steam it has to be hotter than tepid warm water. As I said though. There really id NO steam. I kind of hope I received a faulty device! Because if this is what it does? It is useless to me. I am not lazy. I have limited physical range of motion problems. I have RA so when I clean and have to press my hands down (probably for most people they would not consider it pressing their hands down hard) hard. It causes severe pain for me. I like a clean house. I do my own cleaning. Everyday.🙄. Since my physical problems cause me to be SLOW. 🦥. I found that steam cleaners were a great help to me for keeping my home the way I always did ( before RA hit me hard). If anyone can think of what I maybe doing wrong with this particular device. I would appreciate being given advice. That is sincere. Not advice to insult or hurt.
yes, you are supposed to use distillated water to increase the life of the product. tap water has minerals and will clog or damage the steam machine over time.
Well here is what you can do if you don’t want to go to the store and get distilled water like all the time. Use tap water normally and every few months go to the store and buy distilled water, put it in the machine, shake the machine and then (with the machine unplugged for safety I forgot to mention) dump it out into the container that comes in the box and see how much minerals remain. You don’t have to flush it out fully but do occasionally/periodically flush out your machine with distilled water
I've purchased two of these. They work well ... obiviously since I purchased a 2nd steamshot. However, both of the Bissells failed in the trigger mechanism. Once is a fluke, twice tells me it is a design problem. Would be interested to know if others have had this problem.
You can but you don't need too it works better then any cleaning products out there to date it gets the most gross oil grease muck out of a white clean floor you can use it on backyard chairs and pools it's like a heavy duty power washer but better they hot water and pressure that comes out from this bissell is amazing nothing else like it out on the market I love it for my kitchen appliances and definitely my bathrooms in my house and it kills the germs with out chemicals that are killing our planet ots a go green product that's for sure !!! 🤗
I bought a symular machine by Pur and it doesn't get hot. It's more like vapor coming out than steam. I can literally put my hand in front of it and it doesn't burn.
@@kimijonghighball9626 I measured it to be about 285°F. You may have gotten a faulty one, you can return it if under warranty. Especially now that you have a MC 1235
BUT just cleaned my kitchen and bathroom and it works awesome I have to admit.
I never realised the pointy thing was for cleaning the toilet. I have one of these too. Was worth getting it.
3:07 however water is a chemical. here's the molecular formula H2O
Thanks 😊
Just bought this from Amazon for 32.00 because it offered all the attachments including the grout scrubbing brush.
Why when I depress steam part no steam comes out please
I can probably help you if you speak properly
Did you read the instruction manual

Will using distilled water prolong the life of the unit?
yes, you are supposed to use distillated water to increase the life of the product. tap water has minerals and will clog or damage the steam machine over time.
@@sto2779 I bought one and saw that using distilled water was in the directions.

You have to use distilled water because hard water can ruin the trigger mechanism.
What's its max temperature?
285°F or about 141°C
Can we use sanitising liquid
No. Only distilled water. When it comes out of the nozzle it is just as sanitizing if not more anyway.

How long is the run time?
Not very long tbh but steam uses very little water so you can sometimes go as long as 10 minutes on a tank (few oz)
My machine won’t let out steAm thru nossil
Short dude looks like clean shaven ED from 90day fiancé
can I buy extra brushes?
Yes
It don't seem like my steamer getting hot
Do you wait until the light turns off?

How hot is the steam that comes out of this machine?
I measured 120 degrees and l don't mean Celsius.

water turns to steam at 100 degrees Celsius

Utter garbage. Way too small to be practical and the steam is intermittent, not to mention not even hot. Save your money.
Clearly it is hot melting through the ice and everything on here. I've seen people using to clean away all kinds of stuff
YES !! I just got mine and ive had to stop so many times to fill just cleaning the sliding doors
Just throw the cutting board in the dishwasher.
Same concept, dishwasher uses scalding hot water and steam too.
DO NOT USE TAP WATER. ALL YOURE DOING IS BLOWING LIME EVERYWHERE.
USE DISTILLED WATER!!!!!!!
