I live in the US and i remember everyone cheering for brazil.... Bunch of cardboard fans is all they are. Seriously if USA was terrible, not saying they're the best team in the world, I'd still cheer for them. It's not about the team's strenght, it my pride for my own clulture that drives my passion. Amazing how many people don't feel the same way....

Yep. America is much better playing a goal down than up two goals that's for sure. Being down brings out that fighting spirit. Being two goals up on Brazil is a different story for us. I remember that game, and I knew the US was going to have trouble holding off Brazil, they looked so nervous starting the 2nd half. Oh well, good try. Making it to the finals and putting up a fight against mighty Brazil in addition to defeating Spain definitely made it a memorable tournament.

America won the first half, but Brazil won the game. Just think Ameica had 2-0 lead also against mexico a couple years back and lost 4-2. In both games america was outscored by a combined 7-0 after having a 2-0 leads.

I'm American but I have to tell you you're wrong there. Mexico won this tournament in 1999.
This was our first & only chance to even match them and we blew it. It was heartbreaking, and humiliating. We're Americans, we have to do better than this, and maybe under Klinsmann's watch, we'll finally get there someday, because we write our own destiny, like our forefathers did before us over many different things.
Now 4 times !
FOUR Confederations Cups now, and in a year you probably have to change this again!

who doesn't, I'm american but we have some of the worst fans in soccer. We win a game against panama we're world beaters, If we play against a top quality opponent and lost 2-1, 4-2 etc, There always has to be an excuse on why the usa lost.
Is USA would have not pulled back to just defend send a text Brazil would not have won this game they couldn't stop this team's offensive attack at this point in time. This became the coaches fault for making them stay back and defend
