Salamoen Alaykoem, I am Shia and want to pay Zakat starting this year in my life (I have never payed before). How much must I pay, do I have to pay 20% of ALL MY BELONGINGS OR JUST THE INCOME since last year? And what about the next year is that the same? Please clarify to me.. Jazak Allah Ghair.
Zakat and khums are two diferent things...more than 700 times allah has ordered to pay zakat on our belongings like money gold business goods etc...there is nothing about khums in quran except chapter 10 first verse that on maal e ghaneemat at time of prophet muhammad pbuh but today there is no maleghanimat exists so no khums exist..stop making muslims fool and start paying zakat that is proven from holy quran
You said zakah is Haram for ahlulbayt and khums is under the umbrella of zakat isn't not logical to conclude that khums is also Haram since its under zakah

the wives of the Prophet (sm) are the ahlul bayt according to the holy quran,not other people.
