After watching every season, i still cant answer the question of "What Monogatari is even about?"

For me. Monogatari is about a bunch of characters a few on brink of puberty while rest on brink of adulthood. Taking their history. Understanding themselves, their place. But unlike reallife their inner mental conflict/trauma/basically their past that they feel like as a baggage or burden appear in wierd supernatural form. Its in it most basic form a coming of age story, story that is presented with a masterful writing with courtesy of Nisio Isin.
