    This video is very important for beginners and advanced students in order to understand and recognise the tricky sound of girl and world especially when R L come togather ... Actually, most students think that girl has got one sound but the fact there are 3 sounds ... As this example ... She is really a great /g/ir/l/ ... Also the word world has got four sounds not one sound ... As this an example ... The best girl in the /w/or/l/d/ ... Thanks A lot!

    fast question the best way in dark L is the tongue touch the teeth or not thank you ( if not touch where the tips of the tongue touch- 1 near to the lower teeth - 2 near to the upper teeth -3 near between the teeth ) is L in also and California dark L thank you

    • @ClearEnglishCorner
      @ClearEnglishCorner  5 лет назад +1

      For the Dark L the tip of the tongue can be in any of these places. The most important element is the movement of the back, or root, of the tongue.
      When I say the Dark L the tip of my tongue is down, behind the bottom, front teeth. The back of the tongue moves back and down. Have you seen this lesson? ruclips.net/video/FUWVldKrTDs/видео.html

    thanks;with Ur help ,i am learning phonetics and how to pronounce a sound.
    and I have a question that is we have 'Th' sound in English ,it's voice or voiceless
    but my question is why some people pronounce it 'f' when it is at the end of a word ,eg.'both'
    they pronounce it something like this "bof

    Great job💜
    I hope you make a video about ( worse, worst, work ,etc...) these words are really hard to pronounce like native speakers

      Good news- these words start the same as "world." Remember the part where I stop and mention you have the word "were?" Just add your ending sounds from there- /s/, /st/ and /k/. You got this! 😉

      I think of "ur" when I pronounce these words. Could this be a good phonetic spelling?
