I think my favorite part of these guitars besides the multiscale tremolo is that the zero fret is at the locking nut while still being a classic multi-scale length. One day I'll get my hands on that ML 8-string, that'll be the best!
Does the 7 string multi scale tremelo have that smooth effortless feeling old Kahlers had ? Or does it have a stiffer feeling whammy bar closer to the feel on floyd roses because of the multi scale and added 7th string for some reason
Hi dean guitars, what is going on with your quality control ! , After playing Kramers for some time I thought I would have a change and ordered a dean ml and what I received from the shop had 10 defects so returned that and sent another and that one had defects too so returned that one and changed my order to a more expensive dean ml slime and this one is a lot better than the last one but has a damaged volume knob ! There ment to be new aren't Thay !! I think you should be having a word with your manufacture
What a fascinating design for a multiscale. I noticed this Exile 7 string on another channel having never seen it before (didn't even know Dean did these types of guitars) and just had to have a further look. Having the neutral fret at the start seems like it would make it quite comfortable to play. I have a Cort KX507 which has the seemingly more normal setup of having the fan angles go both ways, I believe the neutral fret is the 8th. I find those lower frets to be quite tricky for playing chords on (especially barre chords, I'm not very good with those anyway so trying something like an F major is really hard) but when I start getting to the frets that are angled to the right (above the 8th fret) it starts to feel more and more comfortable to play for me. I think I'd really like the feel of this Dean's setup. The trem is also pretty cool for a multiscale. Before the Cort KX507 I got a Jackson with a Floyd Rose as my first ever 7 string (Chris Broderick model). What you can do with the Floyd is cool but it was a nightmare to deal with. Wouldn't stay in tune properly, and tuning it up in the first place is a hassle so can't change tunings easily at all. I thought why couldn't they have made it with some kind of adjustment to lock it so it can't be pulled up or down if desired. Then there is the best of both worlds - if staying in one tuning it can be used as normal, but when changing tunings or even for just a different feel it could be locked in place. Great that this Kahler can do that. I switched to the Cort KX507 which is a hardtail after being put off by the Floyd but it seems like this Dean would've been able to give me the best elements of both but without the negatives. I can't see an Exile multiscale on the Dean website though so a shame if it has been discontinued?
Awesome guitars. 😎🤘🏻🎸 the exile and the mls look pretty cool. It would be cool to see a z version of these guitars. Especially since I do like the z guitars. Other than that, this is a nice selection.
Please work it out with Rita and the Dimebag estate. Please keep his legacy alive! The world needs Dimebag MLs!
The dimebag estate can just make the razorbacks and steaths with another company
