I’m new to nunchucks as well as your series & want to thank you for this video on making one’s own nunchucks as well as the many different clear & conciseness, step-by-step tutorials. No one I’ve discovered on RUclips tops your instructional series!
When used to make these back in the 90's, i pulled the knot into the lower hole on one chuk to hide it. That also keeps the knot from coming undone because it's a tight fit. Now stain those chuks and make em purdy.
Used to make them this way.add notch where the string comes out on the sides to have them not stick out if painting them use masking tape or wood putty to cover string
In this video I am using spruce wood. However, you can use any type of wood you like as long as it is sturdy enough. I would not recommend using pine, but any other hardwood should work fine.
A chain is more difficult to make and will likely have a similar quality to a good string. This is because of how difficult it is to properly attach a chain.
Wow, your episodes have done a GREAT job at teaching me Nunchaku techniques, do you do other weapons? I just got a Bo Staff and have absolutely NO idea how to use it.
@@LinusNunchaku is it true that heavy chain nuchaku break fast? ijust got another pair ( my first pair with chain) and its 450g.. pretty heavy and now im afraid the chain will break lol....im afraid when i have them under armpit and then strike forward

Just did the nunchucks. Worked out pretty good! Thanks for the great video!
Thanks for a very thorough tutorial. I appreciate the explanations of how to achieve power over speed and/optimal use.
Very well made tutorial, I enjoyed this a lot. Will definitely be making a pair soon.
very easy to follow along, my new nunchucks are perfect!
Very good video.
This is the first time I heard the KOL gives the legal advice about creating the namchaku
@4:05 for the strings

Good job man, I'm gonna use you're technique and add a bit my own spice not gonna level out bottoms and leave em slight angled.

What is the wood used?

@@LinusNunchaku thank you
Drill bit sizes would be nice to know
I have seen a pair but it was connected with chain instead of string which do you think is better material

Chain for durability, Cord for stealth.
If i don't make the long line between the two holes, is it ok?It looks much better
Thank you, I realy wanted to make them!
Nice :)
Thanks!
Thanks, I got a bunch of old solid wood mop handles out of the trash.

Thanks! I do know a few other weapons but not as well as nunchaku, but maybe I can make a few basic tutorials on some other weapons.
He lied I have for pairs and never got in bty good vid I subbed and likked
Ok making short vid my new chucks
Where can i get such hard wood as urs?
Yes
Yes
Very good details i wish i could send a pic made prototype extendable aluminum,,something light weight and all my chucks are destroyed from use
You should really add in, the length of the nunchaku should be the same length as from your elbow to your wrist.
Good point. That is a generally accepted length, but it is also fun to mix things up sometimes.
What type of thread need to use
There is a link in the description
From where you buy this wood
That depends on where you are, but any local hardware store should have something of use.
The tutorial was pretty good. It could have been better. I’ve made hundreds of these.
Its not ilegal in my country im so lucky
Mom: Hey Shift Lets Go To The US
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Shift who cares if it’s legal or not it’s not like you’re gonna use it in public
“Not to be used as weapons, but for decorative purposes”
Yeah right 😂 see y’all on the 6 o’clock news
nunchaku for defence only... not for atacking...
Next video: Making an armor out of dirt
awesome
Thank you

Badass
Dude you’re in America, I don’t think you need to worry about carrying around nunchucks
Please tell me if mine is good im new to this its my first nunchaku? Im 5'11
Nunchak weight : 350g
Stick lenght:30cm
Rope lenght:19cm
:)
There are no ideal specifications for anyone. I would suggest going with whatever you feel most comfortable with and is the most fun.

Hard to tell. If the nunchucks are well-made then they should not break if properly cared for. However, if they are not well-made they could break.
I watched a video about how stupid they are and now I want to make one
Or what about practice?
I hope that this video helps!
