Darn tootin' - even professionals aren't perfect. Having the courage to try and to fail is all it takes to get good enough for whatever you're working on!
Great tip. I just unpacked my SLA printer yesterday for the first time.. Quite happy with the result (OK after 3rd print I know what the "heavy supports" button in chutubox does 😀... and this seems to be the answer to "why I have to swap the resin every time I need sometnig in different color question. Thank you!
This video is simply amazing- how do you take care of your airbrush after using it? Im getting a lot of clogged airbrushes after using this method even when using thinner. And what airbrush is that?
I think you might have solved my biggest problem. My clear prints are coming out chalky looking. Im hoping this will solve my problems. Any advice on here will help on whether this method will help me
This method should pretty much completely eliminate any chalkiness to the print. That look is really just the texture of the resin - Using a 2k clear (as in this video) will fill in all those tiny little gaps and make it nice and shiny (and if it's a transparent resin, will make it see-through).
Longevity is essentially permanent unless you try to sand the coating off. This the same type of paint cars are coated with. Do not use varnish over this, for extra color protection, just add 1-2 coats of the un-tinted clear. That will give you a coating you can buff, wax, whatever you want without effecting the color coat.
I love your channel name, we don't need to be "professional" mature it passible! Love this idea with 2k and dye!

What is this devilry? Got stuck with 30 liters of clear resin and had no idea what to do with it until just now
Stop buying stuff and wasting it. You need self control
how does it feel @northran11, having your mother found you in the internet video comments
@gelisob do you really spend your life going around the internet talking out of your asshole?
This is great ... just can't seem to get the same products brands in my country ..

Hey feel free to leave a comment on anything you'd like more clarification on, or any other build tips / tricks you're curious about!
Can you show them right next to the colored resin? It doenst seem as vibrant as having the whole resin be colored
Do you ever get bubbles inside the solid transparent prints? How do you keep them from happening?
Amazing

@@Genkenx thanks again. You are a life saver. I sprayed my chalky print with 2k clear coat and it worked. THANK YOU!!
Do you get any fading of colour using this method over time, especially if the prints are exposed to sunlight through a window?
very nice
How is the longevity of the effect? And have you tried to apply glossy varnish over it?

mannn!!! keeep up the good work!!
Do you recomend any other brand then Speedokote?
Any 2-part gloss urethane paint should work similarly. This is just the brand I "picked" nothing special about it.
are you printing 100% solid or hollowed out parts?
These parts are 100% solid.
