“Some say that his heart ticks like a watch, and that he’s confused by stairs. All we know is he’s called the Stig.” Will forever love this intro to the stig as in a future ep Ben had stood still looking at stars/escalators trying to work out how to manoeuvre them. Keeping the bit going. 🤣🤣
Remember how special the Veyron was when it was new? Imagine you finished your studies, went to VW and somehow hear about your company planning to BEAT EVERYONE and you end up on the project building THAT. Imagine how it must have felt to achieve everything you set out for? No wonder they loved you for treating it with respect!!
I drove an AWD Twin Turbo Porsche with some mods done to it. It was pushing approx 600awhp and that was fast af on the streets and on an empty straightaway I had it up to 190-200mph in 5th gear, and it was so stable. I can't imagine this monster
Top Gear will always be missed but its nice we get to hear Ben and see what he is up to. Honestly though the MOST FAMOUS Bugatti is the one Houston rebuilt that went in the Bay.
He is right about that. I have a car with 1000HP and its just a Dodge. Numbers have gone bonkers, beyond comprehension. Id love to drive a Bugatti one day, but the days of ever full sending en EB110 may be coming to a close. There getting old and too valuable to risk driving.
Some say that he appears on high-value stamps in Sweden, and that he can catch fish with his tongue. If I were James, I'd hold that fact over Ben's head for all time
@@Shahzad-Khan I don’t think you get the ethos of this channel. Sure the people who appear may have stories of gas guzzling vehicles. However you have to remember those stories aren’t just about the cars, take for example; John Ficarro, he likes to talk about the strategies (cheats) people used in different races, designs of vehicles, and some right knowledgable or even qwerky things. Like what it is like to work with make up companies for adverts even if they expect the colour of the vehicle to change within a heartbeat. “This can be red.” You had lady Pam, who told a couple stories about CannonBall, being in the ambulance that hardly worked but when it did they came up with a story as they were pulled over by police about some royal being in the back and they couldn’t use helicopter. With these stories you aren’t getting a few more Bugatti sales, Ferrari, or even Tesla. Without memorizing these stories, they sadly die with the person. If you ask me, that’s actually really sad. Always an honor to have Ben on the channel.
Where is that Press Veyron Ed?
Gimperton
Always a pleasure catching up with Mr Ed :)
6:30 So the Stig really did learn German from all those audio tapes he's been listenin to. 😂
I firmly believe that Clarkson's introductions are as instrumental to the Stig's popularity as Ben's driving and acting skills.
I love listening to Ben tell stories about his days as the Stig. He seems like such a genuine nice guy.
This car was sold to a plastic surgeon in Moscow and we think it is back at the factory now. Has anyone seen it lately?
U should try and buy it Ed. Just break in and drive it into a lake or a wall and it's yrs
@@Lburt07 cars with such history only rich people can afford it. 1 mill+ if not 2 .
That is one expensive experience in-for a luxurious french BUG.
Probably sanctioned😂
I've seen the rebuild of that lake car. Extremely expensive and took a lot of years.....
Who doesn't love a good story from the OG Stig Mr. Ben Collins.
Ben isn’t the OG stig. He was the second stig. OG stig had been discarded after the jag drove off a jet carrier.
The OG Stig used black overalls and helmet and is called Perry McCarthy...
He's not the original stig bro. You're forgetting black stig aka perry McCarthy

4:04 The boys stacked in a Audi RS6 😎
i don't see no rs6, where
Very cool. I’m loving these behind-the-scenes stories from the Stig. Thanks for having him!
More Top Gear stories should be documented. They are relics for car community.
Childhood memories. One of the best episodes
Thanks Ed for bringing our hero on
i could listen to Mr. Stig talk for HOURS.
The one and only true Stig
Talk about a serious W for captain slow
I am proud of Captain Slow!
We are so blessed that Ben is involved with modern media. It gives a whole new lease to all the top gear episodes we love
Ben, you're an absolute legend!!! Thanks for sharing these stories and brings back amazing memories!
Ben is such a great story teller, and had an arsenal of incredible stories. I could listen to him tell these tales all freakin' day. ❤
Love and respect Ben so much….. thanks Ben for hours of great content throughout the years.
I love listening to Ben Collins. More Stig! His stories are great.
Good to know the races were actually races and all the fly-by shots were done afterwards.
Great stories! End of an era stuff😊
Great story about the Veyron. Love hearing the details behind one of my favorite episodes from TG.
When you acquire your Bugatti, Ed, you know just who to turn to for assistance in unlocking it's potential. And it's *not* _Captain Slow_
Wow, great episode!
Anyone else miss Top Gear?😢
Come on absolutely
Absolutely
The OG top gear yes
lol it’s still around right?

I'd say the most famous Bugatti on earth is most likely the one that Houston owns that was on camera taking a swim.
Ben tells great stories!
I love the fact he said "he done the real race"
11:10 "you can fiddle with your Lamborghini and get 2000hp"
I'd watch you experience that 😂 alllll day..
Probably the only Veyron driven as intended.
We all came to know the silent Stig. Who knew he'd become Ben the Storyteller. I'd bet he has more stories than most.
Awesome as always
4:38 "added to list: cars ive tried to buy" lmao
That’s it, I’m buying a Bugatti. Eventually..
You can definitely see the Thrust SSC inspiration in the body shape
I love these videos so much. Thank you Ed.
I miss old Top Gear. Those 3 guys were great and it was a time before the days of this stupidity with the electric car push. Such a better time.
Captain slow is actually fast 😂
Beat by Captain Slow!
Great story!!!! Amazing
Amazing
Surprising the McLaren F1 sounds like it loses downforce after 150mph?
But it's pretty.
All thanks to Peugeot because of which this car exists.
IYKYK.

Strong argument
I want a Veyron now

if your nickname was "Captain Slow" you'd want to brag about beating the Stig who's a legit race car driver
isnt the most famous veyron the scuba?
Dood It was a Lamborghini. . .
Man, the BBC really threw away a treasure.
Some say that he appears on high-value stamps in Sweden, and that he can catch fish with his tongue.
If I were James, I'd hold that fact over Ben's head for all time
James can cook better than The Stig.
Well maybe you don't know about andrew tate's Bugatti chiron pur sport...
Well, sure, this Bugatti is a big deal here on earth. But what about Uranus?
That's what he said
I think this is not the most famous bugatti ...
I think more people think of the bugatti that drove into the water
he did try to fool the insurance
What was in that audi
Bugatti engineers
Stiiiiiig🤘
😎
And because of a rigged phone vote, he has a new name...all we know, is he's called Cuddles
I know that this is like controversial but I think that Andrew Tates Pur Sport is more popular now
What color is your Bugatti?
Rad
And it still isnt the most famous/infamous Veyron.
First here
