    Just came across this. This was our wedding song. The band we hired had never heard of the song, so they had to learn it for us.....they did great!!!! What a fantastic, lasting memory. Makes me appreciative of who I have. What an outstanding artist he is.

    In memory of my friend Julie Surtani who loved anything by James, Livingston or Ben Taylor. She was a beautiful soul blessed with riches of vocal talent. More importantly, she had a heart of gold.

    Lackland AFB, Texas. On heavy rotation on a local station. I have looked for this since December 1978. So glad have found it. Even after all this time I still sang along with the words the first time. Thanks for the blast. Master Sgt. Jones USAF (Retired)

    I've seen Liv live, and he's not only an excellent guitarist, banjoist, and singer, he's incredibly funny. He even stayed around after the show to sign autographs. I'm now the proud owner of two signed CDs. XD

    Thanks for serving our country! My brother was briefly stationed at Lackland. First, boot camp, then, again at O.T.S. I was so proud to see him become an officer! Shout out to Capt. Terance Hoffman (Retired) Aerospace Engineer. Now owns American Amusement Rides in Ft. Wayne, IND.

    I have always loved this song, and was shocked to first find out that it was James Taylor's brother! Livingston is very talented, and can play many instruments! I saw him at SUNY New Paltz around 1982! Great, fun, show! Peace, BobbyK

    On this day in 1979 {January 20th} Livingston Taylor performed "I Will Be In Love With You" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'...
    Three months earlier on October 21st, 1978 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #30 and spent 14 weeks on the Top 100...
    The song was from his 1978 LP "Three Way Mirror"; it also produced another Top 100 hit, "I'll Come Running", which reached #82 on the Top 100...
    R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012}...

    Some people say Liv was living in JT's shadow . I hope he's still alive . I met him about 30 years ago . Liv I mean . He was playing at a small venue in New England and I was there . We actually got together after the show and did some hanging out . Anyway we got around to talking about JT...especially since James was one of my childhood heroes . And I know all his music by heart . Plus I knew Liv's music also . Point I'm trying to make is I don't think Liv ever lived in James shadow . He seemed pretty satisfied . Very easygoing and comfortable with himself . Just wanted to clear that up ! Peace everybody !

    @ekocentric Hey my Brother11 AF was quite an experience. Finished Tech School gave me my law badge and went to Dyess & Reese for 4 years. Both were 100 miles away from my front door, so it wasn't too bad. Worked 3 on 6 off. Second tour went to Berlin as NCOIC at an Airfield. Freakin' Sweet. Got out after 4, went to Mortician School and have been at this for 25 years, If I had not make it to Lackland, my life could've turned the other way quickly. Hope your life is well. I love this song and many he has done but he is a very bad person in real life. I went to see him in concert about 5 years ago and asked him one question about what advice he can give someone that is riding music and learning to grow to which he gave me a tongue-lashing for about 5 minutes. I didn't deserve that.he has very good music but he is a very sad man.

    • @kenperk9854
      @kenperk9854 3 года назад

      No you didn't. You may have caught him at a bad time in life...or he may be a piece of crap. I hope it was bad timing. We're already losing so many of our 70s artists. I hate that but what can you do?

    • @tracycrocker2599
      @tracycrocker2599 3 года назад

      @@kenperk9854 He did Ken. I didn't deserve that and have never forgotten it. He is a great artist and I love his music, just not a good person.

    • @tracycrocker2599
      @tracycrocker2599 Год назад

      @@leojbramble it's been a while but I asked the question what advice would you give an inspiring writer/singer who is learning to grow, for the future. His response for 5 minutes was pretty much about trying to be as good as him. It was not said in a sense like trying to give words of encouragement to be better than him but said it like he was angry for me asking the question. The look on his face was one of anger and not encouragement I promise you. Maybe he was having a bad day, but I don't think I would act that way coming out of a performance. Just saying.
