So what’s best. A Double Pole RCD that shuts off the entire consumer unit or individual Double Pole RCBOs and a main switch? Also if you have an isolation transformer fitted onboard, on the shore side after your boats inlet should you have any kind of RCD or isolator or do you only need an RCD on the outgoing side of the transformer? So Inlet, isolation transformer, Consumer unit with main isolator and Double Pole RCBO’s all bonded to the hull. This is in reference to a Dutch Barge.

When bringing a European boat to the USA will you be required to add the GFCI to the wet areas or will the ELCI whole boat system suffice? Our boat is both 110V/60hz and 230V/50hz but wondering what all we will need to inspect and change to comply in the US. I understand the Coast Guard enforces certain rules pertaining to fire safety but not always all the ABYC standards.

Tell Nigel to mind when he faces downward and blocks the lavalier mic, causing muffled inaudibility.
