- We explore Corinth Mississippi. Corinth is where History Collides and The Crossroad Of The Civil War. In 1862 the crossroads of the Mobile & Ohio and Memphis & Charleston railroads in Corinth, Mississippi, served as one of the most significant locations in the country. If Union forces could take control of the rail lines, they would gain access to the Southern heartland. If Confederate forces could hold onto it, they would be able to continue to ship supplies and men throughout the southern states. Corinth is full of history!

When I was still in trucking my delivery loads took me right by a lot of civil war locations but I only got a glimpse of some of the history and unfortunately couldn’t stop due to the tight schedules I was always on. I’m like y’all in that I’m fascinated with our country’s history as well. Thanks for sharing! ~Jim~

I love this! My hometown! ❤ thanks for sharing our piece of history! So many memories of growing up there! My parents used to own a women’s clothing store downtown! 🥰 Everyone is required to eat a slug burger! 😂 Happy birthday, Danny! The White Trolley is the official “slug burger” home, and Borrum’s is home to the best little soda shop!
I bet it was cool to grow up in a place that holds so much history. The downtown is so cute. Danny said all he could taste was the pickles, Mustardand onions. Lol 😆 and thanks for the birthday wishes. I actually took him to Russell's steakhouse for his birthday dinner. Those steaks are huge. And he said thank you. Borroum's is such a cool place. What a history this small railroad town had during the Civil War. Can see why it was so critical though. What a cute town. The old fashioned soda fountain was a fun place for lunch; even if it was different 😂.

Wonderful video of history. You are close to where there was a big battle in the civil war at Tupelo, MS. The battle of Tupelo is not as well known as some but was a defeat for the south. People don't know history as much as they should. Thanks for the info. Take care.

You are welcome. More of a route than a battle but there is a dedicated battle area and monuments there in Tupelo in regards to the battle. Birthplace of Elvis Presley as well.
Happy Birthday. I work in Corinth a lot. They have a great rest area there too with a dump station. The Dinner Bell is also a good place to eat.
