Great video! But does Cap Cut create instant videos with effects and music like Quik. I used to add a add a handful of stills with a few video clips into quik and loved it because it gave me a base to work from and then I would fine tune it with a little more editing and voila!
. It was really "quik" to make snappy videos but then the app went away for non go pro users.
If cap cut is similar with snappy themes with music and effect that can be edited and fine tuned, I'm down for that!

wow, this is super easy and nice samples of all I need... usually a tedious editing makes me off, but this might helpe get back to this. It looks easy and simple to use with good and clean looking presets. Great Jake, I love it!

I never used GoPro Quik to edit because all I thought it did was put my clips into its own edit and that's what I had to work with. I thought CapCut was just a editor for Tiktok but after watching this tutorial I will be downloading it to my computer and also buying a external hard drive for my files. Thanks for the tutorial!

It looks like a slightly simplified version of Final Cut. What I like about iMovie and Final Cut is that they graphically display which portions are used on the timeline, and if a clip is used twice. CapCut seems to show if a source clip has been used, but not which portion. Anyway good to have another free option, although I wonder if they would charge you for something or if it is a trial

Looks good but you have to give them all your information and they pull all sorts of information out of you to sell. "When somethings free, your the product".
Fake name etc. if you need to add phone number use 4g router number.

I have been using quik for my gopro edits, and finding it limiting that they only allow one minute edits pretty much unless you use a song that is a little longer, maybe 2. I think they overestimated the use of quik for tiktok edits. It's nice tho bc I can bring the footage right in from cloud etc but I wish it supported up to 10 min edits, it is paid after all.
Hello, great video. How did you make your text transparent but keeping the white stroke in your text "Daily". The problem is that when I reduce the opacity on Capcut to make it transparent, it also reduce the opacity of the stroke. Or I can do this only by changing the font.

Great content!! I am in the middle of editing a video on the Quick app and the music tends to end before the video ends,, my video length is 8 minutes and the sound track (GoPro Original: Seismic) is only 2 minutes,,, is there away to loop the sound track to keep it repeating itself until the video ends? Much appreciated!!

You're welcome
To be clear, this is more of a replacement for a traditional video editor like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or iMovie. If you have a GoPro Max, it won't do any of the 360-to-flat conversion that Quik does so people will still need to use Quik to insert keyframes and render the 360 video into something that CapCut can use. Also, it would be more fair to call CapCut "freemium" as there are a number of features and filters which are only available if you are a "Pro" subscriber.

hi, i'm using gopro 11 (4k 60fps, standard bitrate) for mtb. the recordings are of great quality but after exporting from capcut artifacts appear, e.g. in the sky / earth. what am i doing wrong when rendering? I choose my bitrate at 60000 and render in 2k. somehow after using capcut it drops. the colors are also not as good as in the original video. please give me tips.
Installed on Windows. Can save in 4k with 256 compression. No models are available. GoPro Quik is still faster than Capcut. Capcut is missing models but it seems promising. If you have time and need basic features then it could be a desktop solution. I tried several others and at the end I choosed "Filmora" that has a lot of models, big user base, monthly new models ecc.
Does this app have a zoom in feature? I record my softball games and like to zoom in on certain plays like I use to with go pro studio.
Oh man, I have so much gopro footage but have never found a way to actually edit it. So I never do anything with it. It's actually really depressing. I'm really hoping this changes all of that. Thanks!

Yes you can! Assuming you have the subscription I think they offer a large amount of cloud storage

what do you think is the best between CapCut desktop & iMovie for basic contents ?
export is limited to 1080p for CapCut while iMovie can do 4K
And is there any way to start a project on pc and finish on smartphone ?
However my biggest concern remains the editor of CapCut….
You can export in 4K on CapCut
The only app we currently know of that you can start on smartphone and finish on pc is adobe rush

Can I use GoPro Max 360 videos?
I was looking for something like this. The gopro quik app is just too limiting with the music and templates etc. I also Don't feel like paying for a service I'm not going to use everyday since I'm not an editor perse. I just want to make decent videos of places I travel to upload on here and make them look decent.
Gopro has literally been the hardest thing to edit for me Im not sure why but wow what a frustrating experience. Its like nothing works wow😢

Much prefer editing on a laptop for workflow, especially when editing long format videos, they normally take 2 or 3 days to edit

So how do you get a video from your go pro to this app I’m new to the camera world
You take the SD card out of the GoPro and import the video clips onto your computer hard drive or an external hard drive that you have plugged into your computer
Noticed that using capcut in the browser gives a copyright alert. Anyone have trouble with this? I want to create videos but don't want a copyright ding on YT from capcut assets used.
Nowadays, if it's free it means you are the product. Either that or it will become a paid subscription model in the near future. Just like GoPro did now.

Take out the SD card from the GoPro and save insert it into your computer
How about using music from your pc
Make sure you read their privacy policy before installing. I'll stick with the free version of Davinci Resolve, even if it is harder to use.

I wanted to use capcut on my phone. shooting with gopro10 4k60. Even after export from capcut back with 4k60, quality is so bad and its 4x the size from the gopro.

you first need to export video using insta app. then move to cupcut or other editor.
i usually do that quickly reframe in insta app, export at high bitrate and max resolution and then edit in lumafusion

I wonder how long ago you made this video bec the file storage is not selected, I don't wear it's stored ....Also, if you exceed 1G they want $.99/month. I don't know how it would be stored on my phone.

you can use some of the AI editing features for automatic edits however if you're want more control we recommend learning how to edit yourself, plus it's way more fun when you're in control
I cant install quik on my phone ...
im having a weird issue when exporting my videos. im setting my bitrate correctly and my resolution but for some reason the videos still come out pixelated?
I have the same problem. Original videos from gopro11 are insane but after exporting video is pixelated too. Im setting bitrate corectly asewell.. did you find reason or solution?

What about slow motion and bit sync? Does this software have those functions?
Of course, although slow motion isn’t a function, it comes down to your choice of frame rate when filming. Head to the speed tab (top right) and choose how much you’d like to slow down your clip 🤘🏽
