After Al Capone's mother found out he was a violent gangster, he decided to try and be a bit more wholesome, with mixed results.
#history #comedy #shorts #satire #adriangray #alcapone
It's fun how some of the things are actually somewhat true. He had a somewhat positive public image for his donations to charities or running a soup kitchen during the depression.
He’s honestly a PR genius.
Great profile picture good sir
The Valentin's Day Massacre ruined any chance he had of turning his public image around. Apparently it was going quite well before that. You also have to consider that his entire empire was built upon something that is legal now and even back then was considered a public joke to most (alcohol being illegal). But in the end, violence is never the answer, especially when it's about getting a good public image, and that's a good thing. So I'm not condoning anything he did.
@@greennin BUT IN THE END, VIOLENCE IS NEVER THE ANSWERRRRRRR
@@zherean42069 but sometimes, its a question and the answer is always yes
Damn, he actually warmed a cold man's neck.
✊🙃 What a hero!!
Yep. Although the man ended up colder afterwards.
So nice

On a cold Chicago morning, no less.. Whataguy!
0:13 The headline says:
"I SHOULD HAVE REALISED HE WASN'T A RABBIT-MASSEUSE WHEN HE KEPT COMING HOME LATE..." "...and also when I saw him shoot all those people."
The article reads:
For the first time in her life, Al Capone's mother, Teresina, learnt that he was a violent gangster who had committed more than a thousand murders. Ter esina had believed that her son was a rabbit-masseuse, providing masages particularly for cute rabbits who were homeless or tired. She commented:
"He's been living a lie. I cannot be lieve it. He always seemed so nice, but now I look back, I guess the writing was on the wall. Quite liter ally sometimes. And usually in blood, from what I now realise was one of his enemies, but what I thought at the time was him doing modern art using ketchup. I'm very angry at him for what he's done and I'm going to have lunch with him this coming week. Let me tell you, he is not is not going to get my special bolognese, Absolutely not. Quite frankly I almost feel he should be making his own dinner - and my dinner - if he's such a clever man. But there you go."
Al Capone commented that he was devastated about the situation, saying he "always wanted to do his mother proud" and "needed to leave the interview as he had some killing to do."

The thing is these vids have light sprinklings of real history. Like, Capone did present very kindly to the public and did pose himself as a kind of Robin Hood figure in order ease public outcry against him
The best conspiracies always do.

Bro I don't know where these have been hiding but glad I found em...bloody gold...best chuckle I've had in a while. Keep it up...soooo funny.
even al capone is scared of his mother ,just like the good old days
He was more scared of Mussolini.
Every mafioso arrested during fascist regime in Italy suddenly disappeared. They usually say: "they are sent in exile". But we know that criminals of this sort usually was just killed and concealed quickly.
@@danielefabbro822 but he lived in America.
@@rahatahmed6188 he came in America thanks to his family, because we Italians needed to work. But Americans had preconceptions and hate towards us. Many never found a job and was beated hard. So some of us turned into violence. Capone was one of these. But the worst punishment was the estradiction in Italy, under the regime of the fascists. And the mafiosi under the fascists was just executed. He had to turn himself into a monster in order to survive.
@@danielefabbro822 of course, but Capone would never need to worry about Mussolini catching him, he was born and he died in America. Can’t deny that Mussolini was right to give mobsters harsh punishments, they bring Italian people down and make them look bad around the world.
@@rahatahmed6188 as I said, if Capone was caught, the Americans would have killed him or just sent back in Italy where he would have had the same sort.
I won't defend Capone for his actions, but I understand why he turned so violently.
Al Capone sounds like he's about to ask me Just One More Thing and solve a murder
"So my wife..."
proceeds to walk out of the room, stops and turns around-" do you know what's bothering me? there's a cigarette in the ashtray and you said he didn't smoke"
Oh god, a cringe youtuber
“My wife she just goes crazy for this stuff”
This is made even funnier due to the fact Al Capone sounds vaguely like Columbo.
Well for a gangster he was pretty good 10/10 you're a real standup guy al
Mafia boys. They have all to be arrested. There's nothing to be amused or inspired by these shit.
The fact that the whole news article was actually rewritten was comedy gold. This dude puts so much effort into his videos

It's so fascinating how someone can do lots of good things and lots of bad things and then seeing where the public draws the line on what kind of person they are
Are you joking or you didn’t realize this is a joke
haha R/wooosh
Seriously im so confused
For some reason if a bad person does some good things they’re immediately appreciated by the public. I will never understand it. Makes zero sense
@@remigal899It's more impressive if a bad person does a good thing because they aren't inheritly good, like good people. It's like a child doing anything half decently
Al capone wasnt cold blood gangster like most people think, money and sly business moves were his game. Though he does have a very lassie faire management of his goons
He sounds like he's about to make me an offer I cannot refuse

I love how eloquent and self-aware the traumatized guy is. You wouldn’t expect someone so traumatized to have the mental clarity to say the words “I’ve been traumatized by violence.” 😂😂
I grew up in Cicero, IL. He was still seen as kind a hero when I was growing up in the 70s. For every documented negative stories somehow there were a few apocryphal good ones.

And yet his Neice says he was innocent.
To be fair to Al, he did actually bribe government officials to make Pasturization of milk a standard. A relative of his had died of consuming unpasteurized milk and so he made sure legislation got passed to prevent that happening again.
