We were about to throw in the towel and call the plumber (right here before Christmas bills), but instead your video inspired me to go try violently plunging the sink just one more time. I know this video is 7 years old, but you're still helping people! Thanks!
Thanks for the comment! I just plunged mine and it worked!!! I had dumped like 3 cups of old cooked rice down the sink when I was exhausted after work. Looking back next time it's going in the trash for sure! :D
Thank you kindly. I’m a single mother, who owns my on home, and here lately, I’ve had to look up solutions on repairing certain minor issues. Ur video saved me, super helpful, detailed, great instructions. I appreciate the knowledge that u shared. Take care. Thank you.
I just became a widow and now have to fix things around the house myself. Thank you so much for your instruction. I saw the video and followed the directions, which were excellent! Fixed the clogged sink myself! So helpful, thanks!
I had a clogged garbage disposal, and I thought for sure I'd have to take the pipes apart, but figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to check RUclips, bc my husband always said you can find anything on RUclips! Am I glad I did! It unclogged with a plunger! Your explanations for everything were interesting and helped me understand plumbing logic. TY!
So big, gigantic, enormous thanks to you! I was outside and came in to a flood in my kitchen from the dishwasher over flowing. Your video had my problem fixed in no time and saved me a bundle! I think my husband will get tired of hearing how I fixed the sink all by myself when he gets home later.
Thanks Tom! Was picking up a phone to call a plumber and saw your video. Complete fix and flush pipes in about 20 minutes. I'm sure I saved $150 bucks or so!

Thank you! I was kind of aware of how to unclog my sink, but not entirely comfortable doing it. I watched your video, followed the instructions, and unclogged my sink! Thanks again!
It seems like there is another simpler way that may work and should be tried before unhooking drain pipes. Plug the unclogged sink with an airtight cover. Then, while holding it in place, turn on the disposal in the clogged side. If it is going to work, then within a matter of seconds, the clogged sink will empty. The disposal acts like a pump and with the other sink closed off, it forces the clog down the drain. I wish I could claim this solution as mine but truth is I came across it while looking into a solution for my clogged drain. My thanks to that contributor. Of course, if it doesn't work, this Tomahawk video is a well explained solution. NIce job!
Thank you so much! II ended up clogging the sink trying to use the garbage disposal on too many big items and I need to take care of it before my husband got home from work. So he didn’t have to work on it and this video walked me through it.

Thanks for a great video guide on how to fix a clogged kitchen sink that won't drain! I took the liberty to embed this video in one of my posts on my website that reviews garbage disposals. Hopefully, my readers will find it just as helpful as I did.
Thank you so much! This was my exact problem and I was able to fix it by following your directions. You saved me a couple hundred buck tonight. Again, thank you so much.
Awesome! Thank you so much! I did it myself with no problems.....Almost passed out from the smell....There was so much junk in there, couldn't believe it! Water running great now....Saved me a plummer call.....Thanks again!
The plunger worked for me, i plunged slowly to move the clog back n forth, then eventually it will clear the drain. I did cover the other side of the sink that wasn't clogged. That helped! Thank you!
Hooray! I followed your very clear and easy-to-follow video instructions and, voila! The blockage was in exactly the location you identified. I loved the part about, "I might have learned that by experience". Lets the rookies know it's ok to make mistakes when learning a new task.
Right before Thanksgiving dinner the sink clogged. I tried going under the sink and doing it myself, no dice I got splashed on lol. I did a search and you came up, I tried the first recommendation of using the plunger, boom it worked, I am so happy and thank you! I became the champ lol, you saved he day, thank you. Thankfully, I was able to use your advice and get the job done, finding out that the disposal system was working just fine. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you, thank you thank you - I made soup and clogged up the pipes when I ran the disposal - It also backed into the dishwasher but the other side was running freely - Tomorrow morning I will follow your instructions and free it up - I did not know about the middle pipe that separated the two sinks - Great video

so i just used a plunger and that worked for now. lol. good vid. this is what i was looking for. a lot of the vids were assuming the disposal wasn't working. mine was, but it wasn't draining.
Hey, thanks for the vid. I had a clogged double sink (shares one drainage pipe) so I figured it was something to do withe "P" section. Did the plunger and stuff came out, but it didn't unclog it. So I went below and slowly unscrewed the pipes - which was much easier than I expected. Whatever was clogging the pipe wasn't food debris since I looked inside the pipes and nothing could be found besides some thin rust, but once I slowly unscrewed the body the water drained (luckily no mass spillage since it started draining ounce it reached a certain degree of loose). Now I have to dump the dirty water outside! I was tempted to get a plumber, but I was like "Nah, I got this." Thanks again.

What does "G" stand for Good Guy?
Thank you so much for this video. When you said looks like a bunch of eggshells I couldn't help but laugh because the last thing I did before the clog was peel 18 eggs for deviled eggs. Then it stopped working. So I'm pretty sure that's what I will find. Again thank you so much for this video it has really helped me. I'm a plumber now LOL
