Baby food! That's a great idea. I was literally just looking last night for a smaller bottle, the one of coconut oil is too big for my shelf or to lug around
@@bebbcorpharpery7331 That sounds perfect! I'm gunna poke around and see what I can find I want something tiny I can keep in a pocket or a small bag With a tight lid too haha in the summer my jar of coconut oil goes from solid in the morning to clear liquid in the afternoon hah
Have you tried mineral oil ? I use it for wood cutting boards, wood cooking spoons, wood kitchen knives, and also on my stag-handled knives to help preserve the stag and prevent cracking. I cook with liquid coconut oil all the time, but haven't really tried the solid coconut oil for cooking... coconut oil is good for you and is good for your brain.
I have an estonian parmupil with a bunch of tiny divots that get rust in there and erasers cant reach it. Do you know how to clean that? I still dont' want to use steel wool
Even after I dry with a tissue and apply a layer of olive oil, when I clean it the next day before playing there is still rust that comes off :/ What can I do?
Hey I was wondering what harp you recommend for me I’m willing to spend up to $100 but I’d rather not spend that much. I would say I’m past the intermediate stage. I don’t wanna say I’m that good but I can do all of your advanced jaw harp techniques. And if you could provide a link where to purchase it that would be very much appreciated l, thank you and keep up the great video and congrats on the baby!
Hello shoot me a message on my store. It is, The Harpery on FB. If no FB, email me on bebbcorp1@gmail.com. I have plenty of awesome harps in stock with free three day shipping.
Hi Jamie, I have a steel Khomus that I clean often and oil it with coconut oil to prevent rust, after a few days it does not rust but small dark gray parts have appeared on the reed that spoil the beauty of the Khomus, do you know what these are and how can I remove them?
You might be able to polish them away and might give it a try. BI have a few harps that have this darkening if the metal. It is a patina that is happening on the metal. For me, I leave the patina on there for character. It is like the patina that occurs on high carbon steel butchers knives.
So if i had a stainless steel mouth harp and i like to carry it to my university from 8:30 am until maybe 3:30 pm, is it gonna harm my harp if i didn't care about it while I'm at university? Should i bring that small coconut jar with me to my university? Or is cleaning the jaw harp with clean wipes enough until i go back home?
I have a review made for Glazyrin duet and have them in stock. The review will be published next weekend, but I can send you a mini video review over messenger. Message my store don FB. It is The Harpery
The ascetic will suit you much better starting out. The ascetic is a great harp for the price and plays kind of similar to the Star which has a much higher price.
The ascetic is a better everyday player imo. The duet is a challenging advanced two reeder. Depending on what harp you are coming off of, you will really like it. I sell it to people coming off paval potkin s all the time and they are blown away by it. If you have been playing 200$ litvinov and 160$ Babayev it would not be a step up, but for most people the ascetic is a very good harp and is midway up the Glazyrin line.

I have since found tiny jelly jars the size of a Carmel container that work pretty good as well. Perfect for thumbing.

COCONUT OIL!!! You're a man after my own heart. Or is it, my own harp?? lol :D Followed on FB!!!
It has a much better flavor than 10-30 motor oil. Lol.

I have not tried mineral oil on a harp.

A tissue doesn’t seem to work as well. I have very good luck with a rough napkin or an old clean sock.

Does sunflower oil help?

Thumbs up! Thx for the added info.
Is it okay if it’s olive oil?
I don’t know that it would hurt anything. For me olive oil is a bit thick for oiling harps.
do you know if baby oil works?
Baby oil has laxative qualities and should not be eaten or used on things for the mouth.
No!
Do u think lip balm would work in the place of coconut oil?
I am not sure. You should try it an let us know how it works.
Currently I’m looking at the glayzrin duet but I can’t find any reviews online for it.

Can't wait! I was considering it as it sounds great in the demos but went with the Ascetic instead. Newbie anyway.

To be honest, the sound of the Ascetic is better to me :) I bet it's going to prove me wrong then it arrives.

Thank you again!
Can i use vegetable oil?
You could. Vegetable oil is a bit sticky in my opinion and I don’t care for the taste. It is good safe and will protect from rust.
Bebbcorp Harpery the video should be called, “how to make jaw harps tasty”
What about mineral oil?
Would probably work just so long as it is food safe. Give it a try and moment our results and thoughts on how mineral oil works.
@@bebbcorpharpery7331 Will do. I got it in the grocery store pharmacy. The laxative section.
Wipe clean and free moisture before applying oil. Then wipe clean of oil before play. Let us know how it goes.
I definitely don't recommend using vegetable taste horrible ,smell.
