@@80momknotts17 I got home to Metairie just a couple of hours ago. It is not a total disaster here in Metairie. Just west of us is were the disaster is found. We have no electricity on our street and is projected to be up on the 8th of this month.
Jimi Hendrix was God to me. Saw him on stage in 67 and blew my mind. But when he was asked what is it like to be the best guitarist in the world his reply was "ask Alvin Lee ".

@Maria Crotts I've seen people claim he said that about at least half a dozen guitarists, including rory gallagher, terry kath, roy buchanan, billy gibbons, johnny winter and several others. i don't know who he originally said this about if he did at all but it's just a go to line for people to give a shout out to their favorite guitarist, because if jimi said that then said favorite guitarist must be the best. the only thing i know he said for sure that's close to that is that he said he was the best guitarist "sitting in this chair" in an interview once. I've never seen any proof that he said the "ask ____" thing, although rory gallagher is the one I've seen mentioned most often.
