Anyone else a little pressed that a master ranked player wasn't aware you can jump a throw? Ha guess it just goes to show you how far strong neutral can get you in this game
it's like that sometimes! but that's what this channel's all about, digging into things in fighting games that you may not have known about before and improving your gameplay
It is wild to see what people don't know after they beat your ass 10 times in a row and you point out the one flaw you saw in their game and they're like "damn really?" Skills in fighting games are so vast and varied, it's crazy to see what people use to get to the top and how completely different those skills can be to your own. "Fighting games are something so great~"
A mentor of mine had said this to me and it was engrained in me from the beginning during my SF4 days: "Defend with intent. Defend to either retaliate, disrupt, or escape." Which was a fighting game take on Sun Tzu's quote in AOW: "Attack is the secret of defense; defense is the planning of an attack" This is even more important in SF6 where the game heavily favors player momentum and those who control the tempo and pacing of the match.
Great video. Just hit Diamond 4 and this will accellerate the final push to master and definitely the MR grind. I've been shimmying for a while, but i didnt realize theres an OS to catch my walkback. Likewise, when I hit like plat 5 i noticed players were teching my meaty throws so consistently, i thought they were reading my inputs lmao. i put it together that the OS existed but this video makes it so much easier to defend against and preform. Really appreciate the applicable and labbable content. Subbed.
thanks for watching. as you climb, you'll see more of those options represented and you're on the right track by picking it up early. keep the grind up!
As a Gief main throw loops are pretty rough on my old boy. This will help out my defense game a lot. I didn't know delay tech was a thing. Thanks for the tips.
This one was awesome! I never thought to use delay low in neutral, but thinking back i like to walk back a lot and this is exactly what people are doing to me to blow me up. I think ive had something 'click' during every single one of your coaching videos. Keep it up dude!
I usually look past videos with low view counts but I've currently been in a rut and have been looking for an answer to help me improve and let me say this title is underselling the content you provided. It really helped me understand a bunch of concepts to help improve my play. I recently hit master and dropped down to to 1300 (expectedly, I can't even dp consistently still) and I'm aware that I can improve combos or setups but that won't help me improve fundamentally as my neutral and defense feel like garbage. This really helped me see how I can improve, subbed. Keep up the good work!
This was so helpful man, I just got into sf6 a few days ago and i've never tried so hard to learn a game. Keep the vids up! I'd love to be coached by you someday
check out the frame meter near the bottom of the screen, the rectangle broken up by smaller blocks. there, you get a visual representation of the frames. hope this helps!
Also when you see Cammy block there is a blue force field that shows up when the attack is blocked, that would be the timing for the when tech should be pressed!
What is delay forward low? You didnt say light, medium, or heavy kick. Im just missing something. And why is it forward? Arent you just doing a crouching light kick?
Thanks for this video man! Just got to diamond and this will help a great deal 😊 - what do you mean by the blue block when you were going over delayed tech though? I'm kinda lost in that part, were you talking about your frame data or something else?
Also when a character blocks an attack there is a blue little force field that shows up on the character, when that pops up is when you should’ve pressed tech, if that makes sense
It takes a bit of practice, but once you are comfortable delay teching, you should be able to counter throws when you expect them, everyone messes it up at first when implementing it in game, if you stick with it you’ll only get better
Hi Trunks how are you I'm a new subscriber can you help me with delay tek throws & air light cross up I'm a Platinum second star will you help me reach Masters with Ken
I'm willing to pay you really want to get better at Street Fighter there are things that I understand a lot of things that constantly pissing me off and I need somebody of higher understanding to help me I am a diamond for Kimberly and I'm afraid to go on Rank and go any further than that because of the fact that I sometimes can beat a master and sometimes I get my ass beat by somebody who's like a platinum all because I feel like I can't play neutral well and I can't deal with people mashing sometimes and I really really would love some help I'm almost there to master two ranks away Diamond 5 and then diamond for where I'm at I would really like it if I could get some help from you and some tips on improving a lot better can I play Kimberly and I've played her since the beginning of the game even in the beta I haven't played anybody else except Ed once twice and I'm really trying to improve and I would love nothing more than for you to help me❤❤❤

the problem with sf6 is that youre rewarded for spamming buttons. imagine someone just spamming jab and calling it tech... you probably would. if you pay attention to the game you'll notice spacing and stop a throw accordingly. its not tech. its not a secret. its not a philosophy. stop borderline button mashing or trying to rushdown someone and you'll pick these things up.
sf6 is definitely different from other games in the series in that regard. you can still implement these universal concepts between games to improve your play though! thanks for watching

Who are you plying against?😂
12:13 learning at master what delay tech shows me that it was good that this video appeared to me; or i also won't know about it 😂

This is an amazing video, thank you!!
This video is amazing trunks! Thank you again for the help. I’ve been able to get a little bit deeper in the master rank now.
thanks for being on! good luck on the content journey.

This means a lot! Glad to hear the videos are helping. Keep up the grind.
Delay low forward... got it! Thanks, Trunks. Great vid as always!
Absolutely amazing stuff! Subscribed!
thanks so much for checking it out!

glad to hear, thanks for checking it out. keep up the grind!
This is a great video Trunks!
Appreciate it homie! See you at the next tourney
your teaching style is really good (coming from an educator in other fields). great video overall 😁
Really appreciate that!
Easy sub. Like the content mane keep it up.
Holy shit. That's what I was looking for. A visual sign on when to delay tech. You, sir, earned my sub. Great video 👏 👍
Can you explain what the visual sign was? What did he mean by blue block is? I didnt get it
thanks for watching!
check out the frame meter near the bottom of the screen, the rectangle broken up by smaller blocks. there, you get a visual representation of the frames. hope this helps!
@@_TRUNKS thanks!

Great vid, what about neutral jump shimmy for delay low forward tech? In that case is it that you wait for jump to DP?
@@AnantaNow yep!
Great video, clear and well spoken! 👍
Thanks for watching!
I know about you and now you're in trouble 😈
Great job coach🔥🎮🔥💪👀
Instant sub! Great coaching. Taught me stuff I didn't know about different delay options.
Ps: you have nice shaped 💋 ( just an observation )
I love this❤❤❤
What is delay forward low? You didnt say light, medium, or heavy kick. Im just missing something. And why is it forward? Arent you just doing a crouching light kick?
Low forward is another way of saying crouching medium kick.
@@_TRUNKS thank you so much! 🙏 Super helpful for us still learning terminology 🙇
totally, there's a lot of confusing terms and it can feel daunting to pick them all up. glad it helped!
@@FlipTheCatOfficial jab= light punch
Strong=medium punch
Fierce= heavy punch
And for kicks it's short, forward, roundhouse.
I always take the throws, or guess the throw. At higher levels people shimmy often.
It’s usually the best option, but delay low forward is a great way to neutralize the shimmy threat.
@@_TRUNKS I need to practice this more often. Thanks for your videos, they really help
which is better in to crouch block delay tech of standing block delay tech
Most of the time you want to crouch block, but if they go for overheads or jumps a lot, u can switch to stand block delay tech at that time!
Thanks for this video man! Just got to diamond and this will help a great deal 😊 - what do you mean by the blue block when you were going over delayed tech though? I'm kinda lost in that part, were you talking about your frame data or something else?
exactly right! if you take a look at the frame meter near the bottom of the screen, you can learn about the properties of each attack frame by frame.
Also when a character blocks an attack there is a blue little force field that shows up on the character, when that pops up is when you should’ve pressed tech, if that makes sense
Can you explain the timing of the delay grab tech?
responded to your other comment, hope that answers the question.
If you press throw right when the blue force field would have showed up when an attack is blocked, you should get the timing
Can you put me on to a hitbox under 100usd?
Haute42 has options under 100
Haute42 is so clutch for so cheap
I suck and countering throws even when I do guess it I still get thrown
It takes a bit of practice, but once you are comfortable delay teching, you should be able to counter throws when you expect them, everyone messes it up at first when implementing it in game, if you stick with it you’ll only get better

Is this guy carried to masters using modern?
No way a master doesnt know throw tech, i m plat 4 and i knew this when i was gold
It’s not that he didn’t know throw tech, it’s specifically delay teching.
Just netf all loop throws
if the season 2 news from Japan is real, it looks like drive reversal will be a big answer to throw loops.
@_TRUNKS yes i think so but these buff will make dhalsim guile jp so cheap

I hope to god they nerf Juri, and DeeJay's drive rush. So broken.
