I miss my mom. Life is such a mistery. So incredibly sad, then pure joy. I still can't figure it out, yet I love being alive and won't regret when my time comes.
Anneke recently said the part of the song where her mother says "I gained a friend" actually happened, after a huge argument they had when she was 15 and thought she knew better (like all of us when teenagers).
I always cry when I listen to that song. I know it's about mom but I feel like it's about parents that we miss so much and they are in our hearts and minds. I miss my dad....even it's 12 years I miss ..Anneke thank you.

Ooit, lang geleden, stond je bij ons op Pleinpop met The Gathering. In mijn ogen nog steeds het beste optreden in de 10 jaar dat het festival bestaan heeft. Je hebt toen enorme indruk op me gemaakt, zowel als zangeres en als mens. Om ONBEGRIJPELIJKE redenen ben ik je niet blijven volgen. De laatste paar dagen heb ik je herontdekt op RUclips, en dat waren Anneke-dagen :-) Holy fuck wat ben jij goed. Heb ook meteen een kaartje gekocht voor je optreden volgend jaar in Het Paard.
