This sounds like maybe something the Beatles might do, or at least influenced by them. But I believe The Bee Gees started out as a blues-based Rock band and then were only known as “disco” after Saturday Night Fever released, in either 1977 or 1978. But whenever I see The Bee Gees now I think of “The Barry Gibb Show” on SNL. It was pretty funny.
This lip syncing is puzzling. In the first place, Barry and his brothers absolutely look as if they are singing live. In the second place, The Midnight Special was KNOWN for having only live performances. I wonder if what happened was that the bands did perform live, but the outdoor recordings turned out to have poor quality for broadcasting and so they were replaced with the studio cuts for television?
@@kthorAhh, I love this powerful voice too. Every detail, from his hair to his pants, is gorgeous 😍😍 Someone wrote that "his hair alone was worth dying for." We are in love ❤❤
Could have just been bad editing. I've noticed in a lot of live concert videos from the 60s and 70s, the audio doesn't match the video. I think back then, the cameras recorded without sound and sound was recorded separately. Then the editors had to try to synch up limited video footage with the audio. And I think most of the editors were not also musicians and so they could not tell what notes went with what images. So the end result is that the sound and visual don't match up. Then again, you might be right that this live performance was recorded previously and then they mimed to the recorded track. It does look that way when the guitarist gets the first part of the solo right then suddenly stops playing while his part is still going!
This may be my favorite video of Barry😍❤️
