- Finally after some terrible weather on the East Coast I headed out to the blue water and found a good patch of Mackerel. Put some time into using live baits on the downrigger and got some great results.

Awesome work dave and lovely fish
They look like a cross between a wahoo and king actually with that dorsal. Awesome fish
Great video chasing those toothy critters! You got unlucky on the metal lures!!! Snippy snip! Keep up the good work mate.
Always a gamble with the metals. Next vid I win!!!
Mad video bro
Love your content Dave. Always very informative and well put together. Just bought some gear from your page to support the channel. Cheers
Thanks Brian. Really appreciate your support and I'll be posting your Hooded T-shirt tomorrow. Legend!!!
Made that look way too easy 😂 what a session
Been too long, look forward to more videos soon!
Great video brother! Love seeing the technology and tools getting results. These are the same as our kingfish?
What a cracking session on the Spanish! I have a new 188cc and looking fwd to some Spanish sessions soon. What lbs line / outfits are you running mate?
Great video bud!! Where’s your PFD?
It's in the console
That is a king fish.
Maybe where you are from. In Australia, these are Spanish Mackerel. Our Yellowtail Kingfish are these www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fishing/fish-species/species-list/yellowtail-kingfish
A lot of fun to watch and great information. What do you think is holding those fish in that spot? Bait? Structure? Are they picky about the type of live bait? Do you find that early morning is best? Thanks for sharing.
Love to have crack at that one day, …..how much line do you need on the reel .
Great video mate. What model Scotty DR is that?
Thanks Greg. It's a Scotty Strongarm 1080 with a Swivel mounting plate and Hook Em rod holder mount. This allows it to go in any rod holder in the gunnels
Do you have wire or braid on your downrigger?
It's wire down to the Ball and Clip
What jigs to you use for fast retrieve?
My two favs are the Tackleworld Arma 90gram and the Halco Twisty 70gram
Good stuff
