Was wondering 2 things can you give us a run down on your boat setup and 2 the small rod holders you use when trolling what are they and from where also the safety clips on your rods. Here in North Carolina that's a blue(tailor) and the normal size we use off the piers for kings. Some guys fish menhaden when we have them, but if there's blues I always put one on. Even up to 3 pounds.

Hey mate, I use 2, one for each side so it holds the chin weight dead Centre and doesn’t pull it off to one side which stuffs the swimming action. I twist each one separately 👍👍

First Spanish I ever caught was that big. Up at Conical off Yeppoon. I've never come close to that size since. Same day I caught a 5 kilo Coral Trout.

What was the official weight on the big girl ?
its right near the end of the video. went 29.7kg after spending 6 hours on the floor of the boat. so probably 30-31kg fresh

A mackerel of that size can have a toxin in their meat. Its not recommended to eat them, and they don't release very well unfortunately
