    Great stuff mate. Not sure you will get this comment. Have been having trouble and this is third attempt. Actually saw you out there. Had a late start and got to reef as you pulled anchor and was left. Missed the chance to say g'day. Absolutely love mackerel season and your uploads. Always watching mate, keep up the great work with Mr K and broseph!

      Hey mate, this one has come through! Good to hear from you as always! 👍
      Ahh that’s a bugger mate, if I saw you I would have come over and said g’day. Did you have any luck that day? When we were leaving the bite had slowed right down but the odd one was still getting caught. They were on early that day, we got there a bit late ourselves. Sammy Hitzke was there with his mates from BCF and they did well early in the morning.
      Thanks for the support and I’m glad you enjoy the mackerel videos, I hope you are getting out there and chasing a few! 😁🙌
      Tight lines and I hope to see you out there again one day soon 🎣

      @@willkitching yeah, managed to get a nice spot on the troll. Been out a few times with mixed results. Didn't see Sammy but I've seen a few upload of them cleaning up. Weather has been crazy but hope to get out more as the season goes on. Always on the lookout for you guys🤙

      @@samthemanfish6903 That’s awesome mate good on you! Yeah I think this time of year the mackerel tend to be in pretty good numbers across the Gold Coast, so hopefully your results improve over the next couple of months! Will definitely keep an eye out for you, good luck out there mate 😁👍
      Just listen out for those squeaky Alveys 😉😂

    Hey Will , what sort of anchor are you using for that area . Thanks mate always love watching your videos .

    • @willkitching
      @willkitching  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks heaps for the comment and support mate!! I think it’s called a pronged reef anchor, I’ll try to show it in a future video. If you google that, it should come up. It has 4 curved prongs. If you use a normal sand anchor it will get snagged forever 😂👍

    Hi mate
    So where did you launch your boat ? Did you come through the Tallebudgera Creek bar ?

    • @willkitching
      @willkitching  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey mate, we launch at Southport before heading out through the seaway and then down along the coastline to Palm Beach. It would definitely be A LOT easier to just head straight out through Currumbin or Tallebudgera, but we don’t have the local knowledge to do that in our boat yet! 😅 The Seaway is just a safer option for us

  • @tattooarttoday

    Did you go out through currumbin or seaway? Well done.

    • @willkitching
      @willkitching  10 месяцев назад

      Hey mate, we went out through the seaway and headed down to Palmy. It would definitely be a lot easier to go out through Currumbin though if you knew how to do it! 😅

    • @tattooarttoday
      @tattooarttoday 10 месяцев назад +1

      Also you can troll back through the 24s

    • @willkitching
      @willkitching  10 месяцев назад

      @@tattooarttodayYes exactly! We often head out to gravel patch to check it out, and then you can always head out to the 24’s for a quick drop for snapper or troll for Spanish if Palmy isn’t firing. 👌🎣

    Hi mate is your rod a Wilson Live Fiber

    • @willkitching
      @willkitching  10 месяцев назад

      Hi mate, it’s not a Wilson, although it does look similar. I believe I’ve seen people use Wilson Live Fibre rods for mackerel with great success, but my rod is a Pflueger ‘Torsion’ 6-10kg. Dad’s is a Silstar 8-15kg. Cheers 👍🎣

      Hey mate! The hat brand is called ‘GoSo’. I’m not sure where we got them or if they are still around, we’ve had them for many years now. But they’re definitely great hats - breathable and great sun protection! 👌 thanks mate
