The over head was killing me and I didn't have the time to run it so my daughter and mother did, now that I have time on my hands been thinking about starting another one but might be online this time instead of the brick and mortar. Beautiful bags. I would definitely keep the brown bag. I feel that the darker piping was likely made that way, the color is very consistent. By the way just FYI Cartouche is pronounced “car-toosh” (French derived likely). But maybe some people pronounce it differently. As always a great informative video. ♥️
Hey you! I just found a hippie flap mini today! Love it. Anyway, so funny you bring up the anchor on the clasp. I read about it somewhere but don’t remember what it was about. My basic bag has the dog leash clasp and has the anchor symbol. What does this nautical thing indicate? What’s the reasoning behind it? I think I read somewhere also that the stitching was made to withstand I think like 50lbs? Or 100lbs? Something like that and the explanation behind the nautical hardware might’ve been included in that description. I’d love to see you in a Bonnie Leather Jacket with the turn locks!
All I have for you on the anchor is that it was a stamp used by the company that Coach purchased the hardware from. As for as getting deeper into it, I have not. If you Google Vintage Coach Anchor Hardware then there are some things that pop up from the purse forum. I have a couple of leather jackets 🫣
Your creed will state where your item was made. One step of authenticating is make sure the stated place matches up with the country code. H is ok for US & very briefly the Dominican Republic.
