Hello, when did you visit? And what was the weather like?

Hi. We visited mid January, so only a few weeks ago. The weather was around 13/15 degrees C and sunny with blue skies each of the 4 days we spent there.

Hey 👋🏻 , great info. We are off to Barcelona in the summer! How did you pay for the bus & how much was it? Thanks 😊

Glad you found it helpful. We bought the “Hola” metro ticket. That’s a combined ticket that gives you metro travel, buses, the metro to/from airport and the Montjuïc funicular (not the cable car though.) you can buy 2 day up to 5 day tickets. So we used that on buses. I had a Quick Look and it looks like you can buy a single bus ticket for just under 3 Euros. So that gives you an idea of cost. The hola tickets that give unlimited travel start from around 17 Euros for a 2 day ticket. Hope that helps.

I should have added. We bought our tickets from a machine in a metro station however if you only plan on using a bus once for example, you can just tap your contactless bank card, Apple Pay etc at the machines on the bus as you board. Also, if you have a ticket bought in advance, you also need to scan that after you board. So for paper cards you have bought before, you will see a machine with a slot where you pop the ticket into and it pops out again. For paying using contactless bank card or a code from an electronic ticket you have on your phone, you use the other machine to just tap and go. It’s really easy 👍

@@GlobetrottingGraeme great thank you. That helps a lot. We will probably just do the one bus journey as planning to walk a lot with the kids. How long did you stay there for? We’ve very excited to visit as will be our first time there. ☺️
