I only have a crèche because of my tiny carved wooden cat that I bought in Venice. I wanted a way to admire the lovely little piece of craftsmanship - so there are some wooden figures and bonus animals to surround the kitty 😁
My little cat used to hang out with the camels in my nativity figures at Christmas every year. She was just a tiny bit larger than them so she fit purrrrfectly. She was a tortoise cat so camouflaged very well. Such wonderful memories. ❤
Cat people all know that any “spot”, like a hand towel, box or even a taped shape on the floor is quickly conquered. If you build a special little house, or a larger house with a special little bed in it, They Will Come 😂
So true! 😂 Cats have a special talent for claiming any ‘spot’ as their own. Build it, place it, or even just imagine it-they’ll be there in no time! 🐱🏠
@@mariag.8242 My two spots were the baby's crib and the morning paper. Now, that one is special. It wasn't the paper rolled up sitting on the table. Oh no, when the paper was open in front of you being read he would come and curl up there. There was a message in that. I truly miss him.
I had a cat Roamer that loved baby Jesus he carried him everywhere found him in the sink toilet and shoes one day I found him laying exactly in the center of my pillow I swear I think he measured it
Roamer sounds like such a character! 😂 Cats have a way of making everything about them, even baby Jesus! Him perfectly centering himself on your pillow is peak cat behavior. 😸
Baby Jesus vanished in my house twice in a row, Joey my cat flicked baby Jesus off the window ledge, but Good News we found Jesus under the settee, all safe and well. ❤😊❤😊❤
According to the ledgend of the tabby cat and how it got the M on the forehead, cats kept Baby Jesus warm in the manger. The cats are only carrying on tradition.
Exactly! It’s like the cat was saying, “Excuse me, but I’m also a gift-worthy presence here!” 😂 Cats know how to make themselves part of the story, whether they were invited or not. Honestly, they might’ve added a little extra charm to the nativity scene. 😄🐾❤
Thank you for these. It used to be a person could have a nativity set in America without being looked at as a fundamental wacko! These kitties show us to lighten up and to "love thy neighbor " is the center of it all!
You're so welcome! You’re absolutely right-these moments remind us of the true spirit of love and kindness that nativity scenes represent. These kitties have such a wonderful way of bringing joy and perspective, don’t they? 🐾❤️ Thank you for sharing your thoughtful words-it’s a beautiful reminder to keep spreading love and light! 🙏
My cat Lillie was a Christmas light with singing dog figures very funny nosy sweet girl she is, n slept halfway up the Christmas tree in the middle, was. 💖😆🤣🐈⬛😆😘🌟🌟💞
0:44Quite rightly the sun rays are radiating from him 🌅 There's some beautiful navity scenes here; the one in the second picture is marvellously detailed
I had a very large Manger scene under my Christmas tree. Pepper would find his way to the very back and settle in without knocking over any statues. Even animals know their Creator! 🙏❤
That is such a sweet and heartwarming story! Pepper must have felt so peaceful and safe there-what a beautiful reminder of the bond between animals and the divine. 🙏❤️ It’s amazing how they can find the most special places to rest. Thank you for sharing this lovely memory! 🐾🎄
😂😂😂😂😂. What a hoot! 😂😂😂😂 My faves: And then the little Baby Jesus was carried off by the Catosarus. The End. and the cat squashed the Baby Jesus and ate the three Wisemen. 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for the laughs!
😂 Right?! Those are absolute classics-Catosaurus stealing the show and the Wisemen's unfortunate fate had me in tears. Glad we could share the laughs together! 😂😂😂
Awesome! One year we had cats in the nativity along with Barbie, Ken, and any small toys the kids put in there. Hope Jesus has a sense of humor. The cats also caused the train to derail.
That sounds absolutely delightful and so full of life! 😄 I’m sure Jesus has a great sense of humor-after all, He embraced joy and the love of children! Your nativity scene must have been a unique masterpiece of creativity and fun, capturing the chaos and beauty of family life. And of course, cats wouldn’t be cats if they didn’t shake things up a little-derailing the train just adds to their charm! 🐾✨
You absolutely know, there was cat somewhere near the original nativity scene, acting all nosey and looking for the warmest spot, next to baby Jesus no doubt!
Absolutely! I can totally picture a cat sneaking into the nativity scene, finding the coziest spot near the manger, and pretending it was meant to be there all along. Cats have always known how to claim the best seat in the house, even in biblical times! 😄🐾✨
My parents have a cat named Baby Jesus 😁 ....he was a stray they called "gray cat" and i told em he needs a more special name so they said fine, Baby Jesus then
Praise be that there are still Christians with a sense of humour! Makes so much sense from the cat's perspective: enclosed space for protection, central location to survey the room, maybe some warm straw and lights . . . This joke never gets old. One day I'll print the best into a satire Christmas card.
Absolutely! It’s wonderful to see humor and faith blending so beautifully-there’s something so timeless about these cat-nativity moments. 🐾✨ Your description of it from the cat’s perspective is spot on; they really do have a knack for finding the coziest, most important-looking spots! A satire Christmas card sounds like such a fun idea-sure to bring a smile to everyone who receives it! 🎄😄
Good idea . But he cats are very respectful they don’t brake the decorations . Yet your comments are very desalinated to the full video specially the cats . And much insulting those of us who believe in the birth of Jesus Christ and the hope that brings to earth and to those unbelievers , and deserve respect .
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I truly respect your perspective and the deep significance of the nativity scene and the message it conveys. My earlier comments were intended lightheartedly, celebrating the quirky and endearing nature of cats, but I understand how it might not align with the reverence the nativity scene deserves. The birth of Jesus Christ is a profound moment of hope and faith for so many, and it absolutely merits the utmost respect. Thank you for reminding us all to approach such topics with the care and reverence they deserve. 🙏
Cats had been around for thousands of years to the point of them being made gods themselves. They will continue to get themselves into religious scenes for many thousands of years to come. God bless the kitty cats. If they fits they sits.
So true! Cats have been demanding worship since ancient Egypt, and honestly, they’ve never stopped. 😂 It’s only natural they’d insert themselves into religious scenes-after all, what’s a divine moment without a cat lounging regally in the corner? God bless the kitty cats indeed. If they fits, they sits, and they shall forever reign! 🐾✨🙌
It was a barn… so certainly there were cats around at Jesus’ birth…. From now on I’ll add little cat figures to my nativity scene.
A cat would keep the baby Jesus very warm!
I only have a crèche because of my tiny carved wooden cat that I bought in Venice. I wanted a way to admire the lovely little piece of craftsmanship - so there are some wooden figures and bonus animals to surround the kitty 😁
Of course! I’m going to get a Manger Cat too!
It's funny that cats aren't mentioned in the Bible! But I'm sure that they were around at the time of Jesus's birth.
I read a story about the cats in the barn once.
I liked the Gold, Frankincense and Purrrrrrrr...
Me too
😂😂😂
Felice Navicat!
🏆
Cats know they are Angels. 🙏😇😻
But the cats know it's all ok because they know Jesus loves them and thinks they're so stinkin' CUTE! ❤😊❤
They know where attention is and have to be at the center of it.
The funniest thing is how the human figures look so adoringly at the cats.😂😅
That's true! They recognize royalty.
I just love the looks on all of these cats, as if they know they are in the right place at the right time. Bless them all!😹😹

There was a time when cats were gods, they have not forgotten. What would a nativity scene be without the presence of god?
You can say that again.
I don't have a problem with cats keeping baby Jesus warm by the hay, and keeping a watchful eye. ❤❤❤
There was a cat in the manger that special night. His name was Ralph.
It's. A nice warm place❤❤❤❤❤❤
You know something, i don't think Jesus would mind.
It never occurred to me that a nativity scene would be a cat magnet, but if course it is.
Baby Jesus vanished in my house twice in a row, Joey my cat flicked baby Jesus off the window ledge, but Good News we found Jesus under the settee, all safe and well. ❤😊❤😊❤
Sounds like Joey was having a bit of fun with the Nativity scene! 😂 Glad to hear Baby Jesus is safe and sound-what a story to tell! ❤😊🐱
You can honestly say you found Jesus!
Hilarious and adorable! ..and unto her a cat is born!
Cat---I have found my people and this day will forever more be known as Catmas.
Hey in Egypt CATS were gods😂
I see Mary and Joseph fled into Egypt early in a few versions.
Cats...thinking that they are holier- than- thou.
It does make me wonder if perhaps an Egyptian came upon such a scene and thus began the worship of CAT.😂
If it weren't for the fact their cat worshiping was long before Jesus. I think the kitties here just want to remind everyone who's boss still lol❤
Some really smart and cute comments. Thank you
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed them. 😊 Your kind words mean a lot!
According to the ledgend of the tabby cat and how it got the M on the forehead, cats kept Baby Jesus warm in the manger. The cats are only carrying on tradition.
This is wonderful. Lotsa laughs!
Cats allways thinks that everything is made for him to play or sleep 😊
They're not incorrect ❤
Makes those cheesy nativity scenes 100% better
Cats are really amazing animals. I love them.
These are adorable! I can see how cats are attracted to the nativity scenes with their stables. Too cute!
My cat carried the baby Jesus from one set down to the tile floor and uses it as a hockey puck. Bounces it off the baseboards.
Your cat has officially turned Christmas into the Cat Hockey Championships! 😂 Baby Jesus never knew he had such versatility!
*Cats: "Ain't no GOD gonna boss us around"* 🙀
Cat cc: ah, a portrayal of hoomin worship of us!
What few understand is that these are actually how it really happened. : )
Thank you for such a lovely posting..❤❤❤
I bet there was a cat in that stable but it is never recognized. Just the cow, donkey & sheep.😡
I bet you're right! (No mice)
I love the cats chilling in the background trying to fit in.
Right? Cats always have to be part of the action, even if it's just chilling in the background like little supervisors. 😂🐱
They want Tobe representative 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
That first shot is great. Cat is in the role of angel of the Lord. Scripture tells us the star came rest on the manger where Jesus lay.
Everything belongs to the cat. He knows it and we respect it.
😂😂😂😂😂 I think that’s their way of saying, hey, we should’ve been there too. That’s so cute and hilarious.
Exactly! It’s like the cat was saying, “Excuse me, but I’m also a gift-worthy presence here!” 😂 Cats know how to make themselves part of the story, whether they were invited or not. Honestly, they might’ve added a little extra charm to the nativity scene. 😄🐾❤

Of COURSE cats place themselves into a Nativity scene. Those people need SOMETHING to worship. 😜
Cats are the craziest people!
"Take and eat. This is my body." Cat's don't have an issue about that.
My cat Lillie was a Christmas light with singing dog figures very funny nosy sweet girl she is, n slept halfway up the Christmas tree in the middle, was. 💖😆🤣🐈⬛😆😘🌟🌟💞
❤❤❤

This is what cats were made for 😂
Our hero the cat.
There only to keep the dog from the manger.

❤ Some of these made me bust out laughing! Cats are such opportunists…everything we set up is obviously meant for them! merry Christmas!
And to think these creatures were once seen as harbingers of evil.
I bet Jesus would totally approve. He seems like a good sport.
@3:02 I think Mary has the right attitude.
😂😂😂😂😂. What a hoot! 😂😂😂😂

Cats are definitely part of the nativity scene. They really belong spiritually beside Jesus or in his manger.😂❤️
❤❤❤
My grandma used to tell us how her cat baptized the baby JC idol every night.
They're always looking for a plathe to hides Meow 😸
The Lord made cats the ruling species on the planet. The cats just let us think we are. My business card used to say Writer/Photographer/Cat Valet😊😊
..."and lo we saw a star....er ...a cat shining in the east"....
Waiting for the gifts from the three Meowgi
Reminds me of when my pet rabbit got loose and I found him in the neighbor's navtivity scene eating the hay

A cozy bed in an enclosed space under a warm light, surrounded by humans gazing at it adoringly…of course cats think it’s for them!
The sweetest home invasion. The kitties are cute but baby Jesus is cuter.❤
Jésus est venu par minou.
Intraduisible, malheureusement.
Well, we always knew they think they're gods.
My parents have a cat named Baby Jesus 😁 ....he was a stray they called "gray cat" and i told em he needs a more special name so they said fine, Baby Jesus then
Cats have to be a part of e every nativity scene. It makes sense..

"Away in the manger, no time for this crap/
The cat kicked out Jesus so that he could nap"
and just fyi - there were no wise men/kings at the stable.
A friend had a pet ferret that stole the baby Jesus. The ferret has passed away, but the baby Jesus has never been found.
Perfect answer to all the proselytizers asking if you've found Jesus 😂
Of COURSE cats take over the Nativity scenes. They do think they are God, remember....
I knew it ..jesus is a cat

At least the scene serves a real purpose now.
Apparently these are very religious cats
