Within 24 hours I get to meet my birth mother and four full siblings for the first time, after 67 years (actually 66 years and 364 days after my birth.
Similar to my adopted daughter's story. Except she found her mother quite quickly (we hired someone who did professional searches). Daughter looked SO much like the family, especially 2 half-sisters. This was 20+ years ago. Gratefully, they had those years, her mother died a few weeks ago.
I just don’t have the courage if I ever had a baby to give it up I just admire those women so much I’m just not very brave. What a beautiful reunion I can’t stop crying God is so good

Sometimes birth parents don't want to be contacted. I don't think that's the case in the majority of adoptions, but for those who don't want to be contacted, their right to privacy needs to be respected.
I agree. But lets say after 50 years after the adoption? WHo could be hurt? At least that's how I see it. Or if the birth parents are both known to have passed away.
AncestryDNA is the place you start. Anyone who also does an ancestry test that is related to you will show up. It’s the first thing I did when I turned 18, my birth father was listed on there as a parent/child relationship.
Two women meet after 58 years and immediately say "I love you". I lived with my biological mother for 21 years. Since I was very little, I knew I was not welcome. I never got one hug, or one "I love you" in those 21 years. What a waste. How I would have loved a hug from this woman who was furious when she found out she was pregnant with me.

There is a British show called Long Lost Family, and the mothers and siblings are so happy to be United, but the dads always have some reservations. One of the couple's stayed together, but the dad didn't want to travel to England to see the son that they put up for adoption. Finally the son had to travel to New Zealand to see him!! Most of the dads are somewhat embarrassed, but the mothers and siblings are always so welcoming!! A lot of times there is a class difference between them. The child having been raised in a wealthy family, and the other one having to struggle. If I were you I would get a DNA kit and see what that tells you. They have experts who will help you find what you want to know
This is why I will never agree with Abortion just because you can't take care of your child now does not mean someday you won't be able to find them again when you can have them in your life....Love is all about waiting and not giving up
